Additional Location Information
Ivan Dolac is a village on the southern slopes of the island Hvar.
Thanks to the greatest number of sunny days in Croatia and the steep slopes of vineyards, from grapes grown in this area some of the best quality wines are made.
In addition to its wines..., Ivan Dolac stands out for clean environment, full of aromatic herbs (rosemary, lavender), and mild Mediterranean climate.
Opposite side of the island is connected via a quite unique stone tunnel (1.5 km) because of which this southern part has managed to keep its partial isolation.
The openness of the sea, orientation toward the sun, with comfortable accommodation and friendly hosts will make you keep your summer vacation in the best memories.

Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Sandra and Marino let us know, how good the original croatian hospitality and cuisine is. They are really nice people, that gave us the feeling to be welcome.
The apartment is very clean and has a very nice, big terrace facing the seaside. An amazing sight, that we really loved.
Ivan Dolac is a small village, where you can relax. Not too many tourists. It has two restaurants and two little beach bars,a small supermarket and a bakory shop.
Sandra and Marino are such nice hosts, that we have to come back fore another stay!

Oxfordlovely apartment right on the beach
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Great apartment with a huge terrace/balcony right on the water. Within a stone's throw of the apartment are bathing platforms on the rocks and "mini" pebble beaches to go swimming and snorkelling. Restaurant only 50 meters away and bigger beach. Sandra cooked us a delicious local beef dish one night. Usually she and her husband offer bbq'd fish, but a storm meant there was no fresh fish when we were there. Sandra was extremely helpful and took us into Vrboska and Jelsa one day and then dropped us off when we left. Perfect location in a very quiet town. Thank you Sandra!

Bili smo lepo sprejeti v ?ist apartma blizu morja.

BudapestPerfect host, village for a lovely holiday
Left on 06/23/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We had a lovely holiday at Nada in Ivan Dolac - we are so happy to find this location. Ivan Dolac is a small village, with no more than 50 houses. The beaches are amazingly clear; some of them are with pebble, other with stones. The Nada is just next to the sea, with a stoney beach and crystal clear water. Although we were there in mid-June it was warm (25-30C) with a lovely breeze to make it even nicer. The water was slightly chilly for the first seconds but getting used to it became perfect.
Our host Sandra and Marino created a lovely atmosphere around Nada, always there for some advice or reserving a table for us to have a perfect dinner.
Some advice:
A beach shoe comes always handy and widely available for 40-60 HRK in the island if you might forget.
Arriving from north the ferry from Split to Stari Grad saves you plenty of time and petrol compared to the other one to Sucuraj. It might be shorter on sea but much longer on very narrow roads on the island.
We will definitely go back, one of the nicest places we have ever been.

MoscowMarvelous holidays in Ivan Dolac
Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This time it was 5 of us including baby of 8 months to travel. We were looking for apartments not hotel - to accommodate comfortly without breaking into separate hotel rooms. It was our first experience with renting the apartments - we liked it very much.
We were in Ivan Dolac for 3 weeks and didn't want to leave when the time came. We arrived there end of May. It's perfect time for those not so enthusiastic about 30+ hot weather. We could comfortly get used to local weather in 2 days.
Place has several pebble beaches and a lot of cozy small stony ones. We chose one of the main beaches and enjoyed it every day. We could find some shade in the morning and lay on the sun longer in the evening. Kids were enjoying playing there.
Despite the chilly water in the first week of our stay we can say we chose the best time for our family: no crows of tourists, not unbearably hot.
The house is very nice - situating in the center of the village right on the sea - beautiful views from the terraces. Despite the spacious dining room we never used it for our meals: it was so nice to be in the terrace, view the sea and listen to the murmur of the forest and sea waves.
The separate words should be said about the house owners: it seems to me that they are the best landlords I've ever met. They were so hospital, attentive to all our queries, treating us with superbly cooked fresh fish and vegetables, homemade olive oil, vine and olives...If you want someone to baby-sit you during your holidays - apartmani Nada is your choice!
The only thing which we would recommend for those traveling to Ivan Dolac - you'd better have a car there. Taxi is quite expensive there and car rent in the island is much higher than in mainland. However, we managed to find a small agency servicing 3 cars only at appropriate price - we took a car for 10 days and explored the island and even went to mainland.
I could go on and on, briefly would say that it is a place you want to come again.

The apartment is located only a few meters from one of the most beautiflul beaches we have ever visited. Caribbean like waters, local wine, olive oil, rosemary, lavender, figs, etc . . . Paradise. The trip was only made better by our hosts who provided a clean, comfortable apartment and advice on local treats and things to do. They went out of their way to ensure we were always comfortable. Perfect for a family with small children (who are a little adventurous). We wholeheartedly recommend this treasure.
