Dreadful bathroom and track to get to the property

Left on 04/05/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We had many issues with this property. The track to the property is so full of potholes it is not suitable for small cars or cars which run low to the ground. The bathroom is very poor, the bath is in such a bad state you would not want to sit in it, plus it would take an age to fill! The shower curtain was moldy, the toilet seat is too big for the very ornate toilet! The bathroom suit really needs to be donated to a museum and replaced!

      Great Location

Left on 12/22/2012 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed for 7 nigths at the Fishing Bothy with my Sister-in-law and her husband, great location right on the river severn where you could fish from the river bank in the garden, The Bothy is a very unusual cottage with too many personal items belonging to the owner making it very cluttered, plenty of space for 4/5 persons, well fitted kitchen, a wood burner in the back reception room was very cosy in the cold weather as central hearing was on timer and cottage was very cold during the day. Bathroom very old and could do with new bath and toilet basin as the seat did not fit properly. The double bed also could do with replacing as the mattress sagged in the middle and was not very comfortable. The local pub The Black Swan served very good food and real ales just a 5 minute walk away.

Ideal for river fishing & walkers.

Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in September 2011

A little difficult to get to if you had a small car due to deep rutted road to the bothy. A very interesting property for those that like fishing. Bath could do with re-enamalling due to deteriation. The location is fantastic overlooking the river

      Relaxing

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in July 2011

This is the second time we have stayed at Fishing Bothy and again we found it relaxing. My husband is a keen fisherman and was pleased with his Barble catch each day.

Right by the River - Excellent

Left on 12/03/2009 for a stay in June 2009

This cottage is right on the Severn -ideal if you fish, it has all the amenities - dishwasher etc and the kitchen is very well equipped. It is ideally located for a walk into Ironbridge along the old railway track, very relaxing and even if it rains - the conservatory is great for reading, or playing games of which there are plenty. The garden is terraced and is lovely to sit out, with its high position you can watch over the river, or just catch the sun - if its shining, all in all a very relaxing stay
