Ok where to start. Firstly the area. Lovely quiet residential street. Nearby (5mins) south street has loads of restaurants, shops etc and there is a very handy (although a bit pricey) alternative store. The apartment is very clean and very well stocked with everything you may need. Good wi fi and tv with basic channels. Any questions we had were answered by olive and her partner who provided good local info and recommendations. The T is about ten mins walk away. The perfect base to explore Boston and $18 for a charliecard will take you wherever you want to go in the city for a whole week. Overall wonderful. The second bedroom took our three kids great with loads of room to spare. Good storage for luggage.

Sanford, MEA cozy place to rest.

This apartment was a great alternative to staying at a hotel while on a trip to Boston. Upon opening the door I was greeted by a large and spacious apartment. One bedroom contained a full sized bed and set of bunk beds, and the other with a queen sized bed. The only drawback I can think of is the location of electrical outlets to charge your devices, which are located near the floorboards and rather sparadic (but this is an older home). Street parking was always available, and the place had great water preasure (a bonus point to me). The whole apartment was kept very clean, the furnishings and kitchen were immaculate upon check in. This was a great place to retreat to rest during my evenings while spending busy days in the city.

We were visiting our college daughter, who couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving. This apartment was perfect for our needs. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for any future trips. Jamaica Plains is close to the heart of the city, but we felt safe, even when strolling at night.
This is a bright, cheerful, tastefully furnished apartment, with a fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. The neighborhood is charming, and there are plenty of yummy restaurants and fun shops(the hat shop was awesome) within walking distance.
It was easy to get around Boston with a T station located within a couple blocks, and convenient and safe street parking for the rental car.
We especially loved the landscaping of the house, with Japanese maples and slate retaining walls.
Richie and Olive have done a lovely job and guests feel right at home. -

We stayed during 4 days in early October. We were two couples with a 20 month baby.
We found everything as advertised and pictures are real. Totally equipped with all we needed.
Close to subway, 15' minutes to downtown. Grocery shopping nearby. Free parking on the street.
I'll surely rent it again if I travel to Boston. -

We stayed here with our 3 kids, and parents for 7 days. There was a total of 7 of us. There was plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed in the apartment. The apartment has a lovely balcony to sit out on during the evening, the air conditioning in the bedrooms is terrific. The house is supplied with everything you would need. The subway is quite close and easy to navigate. The area is nice and quiet. There is also a park close by to take the kids to.
The floors were a little squeaky but that is to be expected with older houses, it was not really bother-some to us.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was wonderful to have a place to come back to that felt like home, the kids could un-wind, watch a DVD, or go to the park which is less than 10 minutes away. The rate is quite reasonable also especially compared to hotels in Boston, and everything is provided for you.
Would highly recommend it! -

We were touring New England with two friends and spent 3 nights in this Boston appartment
The apartment was large and spacious and was well equipped with all you needed to make your stay comfortable.
Its location in a suburb of Boston was great for getting into the city centre taking about 15min by the subway with a 10 minute walk through a tree lined walkway to the station, no need for a car
If you wanted to self cater the kitchen and dining room were equipped with all you required and there were local shops within easy walking distance for your provisions
If you wanted to dine out local to the apartment ,there were a number of local bars and eating places
Olive the owner was great and very helpful ,
In summary, the apartment was ideal and we would recommend it to anyone -

Stayed here for a week with husband and two children. The apartment was comfortable, spacious and clean. Love having the comforts of home while traveling...making your own breakfast, having a sofa to crash on at the end of a long day, a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! There was street parking for our rental car and a short walk to the "T" station. Would definitely stay here again when in the Boston area.

We stayed here for a week in august. It is a lovely spacious apartment that is well laid out, nicely decorated and well equipped. It is lovely to have a balcony to sit out on as well. The street is quiet but yet close to coffee shops etc. in Jamaica Plain. Olive and Rich live downstairs but certainly are not in your face. Rich kindly helped me with the laundry (shared machines) and we knew where to find them if we needed advice. There is a little leak in the fridge but this is no big deal. The transit is 5 min. down the road which takes you downtown. I would certainly stay here again and have recommended it to friends in Ireland.

Left on 03/24/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We arrived late at night after flying into Boston Logan. The winter storms had filled in many of the parking spaces but the owners had that sorted and there was a shoveled space for us when we arrived. The owners were also generous enough to lend toys and dvds for my 2 yr old son. We are moving to the area and the purpose of this stay was to learn about the area, Olive and Rich recommended many places, from bars to coffee shops, real estate to things to do with little ones. We loved the location and Jamaica Plain is very walkable. Bikes are perfect here with a little less snow.

FloridaSuper Comfortable apt, Great for visiting Boston!
Left on 03/21/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. We stayed with our teenage son while visiting our older children who attend college in Boston. Its very convenient to the T which it made it easy for our older kids to come visit us. The apartment was comfortable and spacious enough for all of us to have dinner together or watch a movie there. The furnishings and bedding are clean and comfortable. It is decorated nicely and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for us to cook many of our meals there including a cake for a birthday. It was great to have coffee and tea and a few other items available before we got out to the store the first day. The bathroom was also very clean, looks newly remodeled and was stocked with a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and soft towels. The owners did a great job of providing extra touches for a traveling families comfort. It is a home away from home.
We also rented a car for part of our visit and had no problem finding open parking on the street right out front,
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
