Located in the Raystown Lake region of Central Pennsylvania, this is a 4,000 sqft vacation home located on 9 acres of wooded land on Bunn Mt just minuest from Raystown Lake. The home has 4 bedrooms, one a master suite with Queen size bed. The other 3 bedrooms all have full size beds. There are four baths with 6 showers total and 2 jacuzzi tubs. There are two fireplaces and large kitchen upstairs with two sinks and two dishwashers. Equipped to handle up to 40 people (utilizing floor space)this is a quite, tranquil property with lots to offer any time of year.

We had a fantastic visit to the R&R; cabin near Raystown Lake! We came from Pittsburgh and met up with friends from Philadelphia - easy to get to from both ends of the state.
We brought our kids and they had a blast playing in the big open lower level, as well as going on hikes on the mountain. The woods were very peaceful and quiet and the view from the house was amazing. We saw shooting stars at night and caught a glimpse of the International Space Station flying overhead!
The bedrooms, living area and kitchen were all well appointed - if you need a kitchen utensil, chances are good that it's in one of the many drawers! The beds were made up with linens, but towels and wash cloths are not stocked in the bathrooms... so make sure you pack bath towels! (We happened to pack them but it was not clear from the web site that bath towels are not supplied). I'd also recommend to visitors traveling with kids that you bring a small bottle of laundry detergent, just in case.
We stayed in winter, so the leaves were down and there was snow on the ground. We would like to visit again in the summer or fall to catch the full beauty of the woods. All-in-all, it was a fantastic visit.

Ambler PAWonderful reunion spot

This location was great as a halfway point to meet up with friends. It was well-appointed and the view is stunning. It was a perfectly quintessential winter pa weekend with snow and hiking and a lots of fires going.
The 4th bedroom is downstairs, which I didn't realize at first so just know one will be sleeping away from the main floor.
My favorite moment was watching the gorgeous sunrise over the mountains alone in the cold on the deck. Loved it!! I want that kitchen in my house. A cook's dream.Response from David Rader - 02/28/2013

I will definitely make sure future guests understand the 4th bedroom is on a different floor from the others. Thanks for the comments on the kitchen. The home was very beautiful, relaxing and comfortable. It was just my wife and myself that stayed, but would handle large groups easily. It snowed during our stay and was just an increadible view from the back of the house thoughout the valley below. The two fireplaces made the atmosphere romantic and relaxing! The kitchen was beautiful and very nicely stocked, bedrooms were decorated very well and the hardwood floors throughout the first floor gave it a very country-cabin feel. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great value and comfortable home to stay.
