      October in Primrose Cottage.

Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Although late in the year we had pretty reasonable weather for our seven night stay.
The location of the cottage was ideal for us as we had taken our much travelled cat, Misty with us. He thoroughly enjoyed climbing the trees in the garden. Jedburgh is a small town with super- markets, these took a bit of finding initially. There are some really good tearooms in and around Jedburgh but we had no experience of eating out.
We found the cottage to be well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The owner is obviously a 'foody, there is a wonderful collection of cookery books in addition to 'the library' in the sitting room.
The piano was definitely a plus for us, and we brought music with us.
I think the cottage is owned / occupied by a man, it does lack a womans touch especially in the bedrooms. There is no bedside light in the middle bedroom, but that was only a small problem as we borrowed one and a small table from another room. The central heating was not on long enough and when we came in in the evening the house was cold.
We did enjoy our break in the borders and would use Primrose Cottage again given the chance.

      Lovely Cottage

Left on 11/03/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Very homely and a 'lived in' feel about the Cottage. It was a pleasure to spend cold evenings in the cosy living room with the real fire, many books and piano.

A holiday like it should be

Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Very nice accommodation in the Borders region. Although situated on a small, quiet, not so easy (at first) to find road, it is very easy to get in no time to all the major (and not so major) attractions and sites in the region. Plenty of space, nice garden for the kids. Much appreciated that the owner recommended some restaurants, especially because they turned out to be very good restaurants indeed.

      Fabulous!

Left on 10/10/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a wonderful holiday at Primrose Cottage. We felt right at home. The garden was great for our dog and there are loads of walks straight from the front door. Even if the weather was bad you could amuse yourself for hours browsing the huge library of books or cooking up a gourmet meal using one of the hundreds of recipe books.
