Introduce the family to farming life whilst staying at this cottage, located on a working farm, you can watch the lambs frolicking, walk down to one of the many ponds and watch the wildlife including birds, buzzards, deer and badgers. The cottage is centrally located to explore the Scottish Borders, Hadrian's Wall, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
Jedburgh is the historic gateway to Scotland and is only 10 miles from the border of England, located in the south eastern corner. Nestled below The Cheviots just south of Jedburgh, the cottages are in an area of peace and tranquillity surrounded by rolling countryside, part of the farm is in a conservation scheme to encourage ground nestling birds, explore on foot and meander up to one of the many ponds to watch the local wildlife including buzzards, deer and badgers or walk one of the farm trails.

Pleasantly surprised on arrival, very clean, tidy and comfortable. Lovely views but only a short drive to Jedburgh. The bathroom downstairs took a bit of getting used to, but soon had it covered. After long days out, it was a pleasure to return to this lovely cottage. The only criticism I had was when the heating/water was on there was a slight smell of oil burning, but we soon got used to it, not enough to put us off. Would definitely book again. Read more

Just writing this makes me want to return!
After experiencing a stressful year, it was nice to relax and walk in the countryside and take pleasure from the birds and the new born lambs gambolling around the fields. We very much enjoyed the comfortable cottage and coming back 'home' in the evening to relax by the open fire.
An ideal cottage to enjoy the peace and beauty of The Borders

Wild Rose Cottage is a charming stone cottage with fantastic views to the Cheviot Hills. It is pleasantly furnished, including what appear to be recently installed kitchen and bathroom, and well equipped. The owners Lucy and Mat are very nice, friendly people and go out of their way to be helpful. They manage the cottage, and its neighbour, very efficiently and thoughtfully. They encourage guests to walk over their farm, which also has fantastic views. The surrounding area is beautiful , with many historic places to visit and plenty of activities to enjoy. Jedburgh is 5 minutes away for shopping and places to eat out. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage to everyone, an ideal "get away" for families and couples.
