We will not stay again. Veiw of river you can not see in the summer. Walk down to the river was way to steep. We had a hard time getting out of the driveway. We had to park on the road and walk down the driveway. We were invaded by carparter ants.(they did offer to spray but with a small dog and children we refused) Not enough sitting in the living room for 8 people. It listed a dishwasher that was not there. Great location ,back deck is awesome.

The experience was fine. But we left somethings in the cabin and till this day we have not gotten them back. This makes it very disappointing because we always look forward to coming to the carolina mountains every year. When we got home and noticed that we were missing some things we called and they told us that it would be mailed but yet it has not. We would appreciate it if someone can keep their word and send us our stuff. They are the following:
A pair of. Black sneakers they look like shoes, a red lich for our dog, and the bottom part of a Cuban coffee machine. Thank you. Read more
I wanted to let you know that we are looking into this and if the items are found we will mail them out to you next week. I do apologize for the delay in this matter.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone loved the cabin and its location. It had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend. My only recommendation would be to have four wheel drive because driveway is very steep and loose gravel.

Two years ago we rented a mountain cabin from Carolina Mountain Properties, and was very pleased.
This time it started out with a friendly staff who took my reservation, but from then on it went downhill. We arrived at the rental unit and the acess code didn't work. After calling the office, we were informed that the directions we were given was not to the unit we had reserved. Once we were given the correct directions, we arrived to this particular unit, and found that the picture on line was the unit we rented. The description indicated it could sleep 10, it is really only comfortable for six adults. We had to make our own beds; and in some cases, the linens had seen better days..The kitchen was complete with all the necessary items to cook and clean. All the Tv's are old and small size. Didn't realize that by the pictures on line. While it was clean; this property's rental price is too high. Would not rent this property again at this price.

The cabin is super nice, clean and looked really new when we stayed there last summer. All of our guest had a great time enjoying the New River and hanging out at the cabin. The location is a little hard to get and there is limited signage on how to find the place. The view off the large back porch is very wooded and private. You can hear the river, but can not exactly see it in the summer. The driveway is a little steep so you should have a four wheeled drive or front wheeled drive car to easily get in and out. Overall a great place to get away from your day to day and enjoy the mountain air.
