This is the second time I stay at this apartment, and definitely not the last. I stayed for a small vacation with some friends and we had a great time. The apartment is in a great location, in a very safe neighborhood, tree blocks away from the Path which will take you to heart of Manhattan in just minutes. Also with some restaurants, bars and supermarkets in a walking distance. If you like to walk, within a few blocks you can get to the Hudson and have a great view of Manhattan.
All the amenities in the apartment are in perfect conditions and can find all you need. The owner, Zack, is very helpful, will try to make your stay as perfect as possible, always available to any question or request you have. -

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (2 and 4 years). The apartment is not shared with other persons. It' s located in the groundfloor of a nice historic building and has even a smalll yard. There is enough space for a family and easy living with kids. The access to Manhatten is very comfortable. In sum, we enjoyed the stay in this family friendly apartment very much.

I stayed here with my wife and a friend for 6 nights in November 2012 for a quick trip to NYC, and found the place very clean, cozy and convenient. The place itself is on the ground floor of a nice row of terrace houses and has a bedroom, dining room, kitchen and bathroom as well as a nice little courtyard out the back. There is also a fold out futon bed in the dining room. For us, being from australia, a key factor was also accessibility to transport, and from the unit it's literally only a short 5min walk to the Grove St path station. Being only 3 weeks after Hurricane Sandy, there were still quite a few service issues, but otherwise it was all fine. There are also plenty of nice little restaurants and cafes in and around Grove St as well, and really cool bar called PJ Ryan's about 50m around the corner from the unit.
We never met the owner Zack, but he was always very helpful and easy to contact over email or mobile phone, and always responded promptly to any queries we had. It was also very handy being able to leave our luggage in the closet on our last day, as we didn't fly out till late in the evening.
Overall a very warm and comfortable place to stay (for upto 4 people), with quick public transport links into Manhattan and plenty of cafes and restuarants close by. The only major downside of the location is if you are arriving/departing from JFK airport, which can be quite expensive and time consuming to reach. -

We travelled to NJ from London a week after Hurrican Sandy to visit family who live nearby. The apartment is lovely - clean and welcoming and has a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. It was also great to have a washer and dryer. It is very well appointed for shops, restaurants and for travelling in to NY. It also only ten minutes walk to the Newport Mall which is great.
Our only minor disappointment was that the TV was only connected for film viewing and we would have appreciated having access to the local/national TV stations.
