Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appart clair et frais (même la nuit, fenêtres ouvertes, c'était mieux sans clim). Litterie très confortable pour les parents. Lits superposés appropriés pour enfants, pour des ados, il vaut mieux mettre les matelas par terre. Idéalement situé dans quartier branché de la nouvelle ville, à 10mns à pied de la porte de Jaffa. Animé le soir, avec parfois de la musique, mais on s'est laissé bercé.

Nous sommes venus a Jerusalem et nous sommes restes une semaine dans cet apartement. Tout etait tres propre et tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin etait la. Les proprietaires sont tres gentils et acceuillants.
Situe en plein centre ville, cet apartement est idealement place ( 10 min a pied du kotel) Tous les commerces et les restaurants sont quasiement au pied de l immeuble. C'est presque inutile d'avoir la voiture si on reste a Jerusalem tant on a acces facilement a tous les bus et au tramway.
Je conseille vivement cette location confortable au coeur de Jerusalem.

Our family of 3 adults enjoyed 8 days in this convenient to everything in the busy area of Ben Yehuda, Jerusalem. The unit is clean and well maintained with the 2nd toilet room a plus with 3 adults. We loved the terrace for a glass of wine and to watch the activity on the street below.
Easy walk to great restaurants and cafes with plenty of merchants selling everything from tourist gifts to beauty supplies. This area has great night life and a vibe that is invigorating.
Great place to stay to enjoy a hip area while being close to transportation of a 12 minute walk to the Old City.
Everything you need and more and I already recommended this rental to a friend. -

Stayed at the apartment as a base to tour Jerusalem. Fantastic location just off the main road and close to all amenities. Clean and tidy. a perfect base. Would definately go back.

It was quite difficult trying to find the right apartment for a six night stay. My initial enquiry yielded a very prompt and helpful reply from Gad, and the experience remained very friendly. His terms of deposit are totally reasonable and we received a very courteous reception upon arrival (at 1 am!!).
The location is excellent and makes you feel very much a part of the fabric of Jerusalem.
The apartment was very clean and the Wi-Fi was a great feature.

Estuvimos 7 dias alojandonos By4you en jerusalem. Desde el primer momento nos sentimos muy a gusto. El apartamento es tal cual como se ve en las fotos de la pagina web. Super completo. No falta nada para que una familia viva comodamene alli. Muy limpio y acogedor. La ubicacion excelente y Gad el propietario muy agradable y servicial.
De volver ajerusalem repetiriamos la experiencia

The owner Gad made us very welcome and provided a great deal of useful information for our one week stay (which we thoroughly enjoyed). The unit was very comfortable, clean and central to the Old City as well as the shops, restaurants, markets etc in Jerusalem. The apartment is on the 4th floor (lift available) with a terrace facing Ben Yehuda street. It is inner city living so expect some background noise. Gad only accepted a bank transfer at the time of booking but I suggested he sign up to PayPal which he undertook to do. All in all - good value.

We arrived quite late on a hot Tuesday evening and were welcomed by a smiling Gad who very kindly provided us with some much needed cold water.
The apartment isn't large but was a perfect size for our family of 5. It is however in an amazing position and many attractions are easily walkable including the Old City/Kotel; Machane Yehuda; Mea Sharim; and it is on top of Ben Yehuda Street.
Our time in Jerusalem was amazing - from where we did a great deal of touring. I asked Gad about getting to the Dead Sea by bus. He recommended I hire a car. He was right!
Check in and check out were easy.
This is a lovely place to stay, is reasonably priced and comes highly recommended.

I stayed in this apartment for three nights with my daughter and her husband as well as my parents who are both in their eighties. It was beautifully clean and very comfortable and very close to all sorts of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.Although the lift is rather small it is not really a problem. We did not experience any outside noise during our stay and it was wonderful to go downstairs and be amongst all the evening activities.We found Gad and Caroline to be very friendly and we enjoyed meeting them and hearing about their life in Israel

We had four days in Jerusalem and wanted to be centrally located as we had a lot of things to see and do. The 'Ben Yehuda For You' (By4u) apartment was perfect. Conveniently located in Ben Hillel Street, it was only about 15 feet away from Ben Yehuda Mall.
The building itself was pretty run down, the lift was very small (the apartment is on the fourth floor) and there is no concierge or even a foyer, but, the apartment itself was clean and spacious - not luxurious by any means - but very functional. It had a central living, dining area with a small galley kitchen off to one side. The master-bedroom had a large kingsize bed (that had ample storage under it) and it had a small balcony opening off it that looked out over the street. The second bedroom had two comfortable single bunk beds (there was also another pullout sofa bed in the lounge area if needed). The bathroom was a bit weird - sort of a seventies bachelor pad throwback thing going - with fully mirrored walls all the way round, a too large spabath with shower, handbasin and toilet, but it all worked and it was clean. There was a second separate toilet as well.
We were met at the apartment by Gad, the owner, who was very friendly (we had phoned him when we arrived at the airport to tell him when we would be there - and he gave us good advice on where to tell the Taxi driver to drop us off - corner Ben Hillel and Shamay Streets, only a short walk from there to the apartment). Gad showed us around the apartment and gave us our keys, he also let me know where to park the hire car I was picking up the following day - cheap carpark in Shamay St only about 50ft from the apartment.
Being centrally located meant that there were restaurants and shops right outside and it was a less than ten minute walk to Mamilla Mall or the Old City - about the same time to go to the markets. All in all, good value for money. -

If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fine place to stay for a reasonable price this is it. The apartment is exactly as shown on their web site and the location couldn't be better. Walking distance to everything, super market two blocks away, lots of fine restaurants within 10 minute walk and it's virtually on Ben Yehuda Street. The apartment is very clean and the bed is comfortable. It's very quiet except for a little noise from Ben Yehuda Street at night but it didn't keep us up. This place had everything we wanted.
Gad's wife was there to meet us when we arrived and she showed us everything. Gad came by later to be sure everything was OK. They are both very nice and extremely helpful.
There were a few surprises but none of them amounted to much:
There's a clothes washer but no drier - we hung up our clothes to dry in the second bedroom.
There is Wi-Fi access but it's through a device Gad will give you that you plug into your computer. Since we were using an iTouch, we had no Wi-Fi in the apartment but it's available all along Ben Yehuda Street for free. Sometimes you can get it on the patio but it's intermittent.
The large soaking tub is great but, if you fill it, it uses all the hot water and you'll have to wait a while to shower.
The apartment is on the fourth floor and there is a lift but, If you have a problem with steps, you should know that there are 13 steps up to the lift.
You can now make your deposit by credit card through PayPal. Pay the balance in cash when you arrive. Also, there's a $500 damage deposit which you can pay by check when you arrive. Gad will return your check when you return the key. Apparently, they had some problems and the security deposit has stopped them.
If we return to Jerusalem this is definitely where we'll stay. We wouldn't even consider anywhere else. But, this place is quite popular (for good reason) so book early.Response from Gad Choukroun - 05/08/2011

Gad the owner meet us on arrival and offered us any assistance we may have needed. The apartment was top notch, clean, tidy and the location could not have been better. The old city was lless than 10mins down the road and the local shops offered good food, a supermarket, clothing and everthing you need. The night life on Ben Yehuda could not have been better and the people were very friendly and helpful. We loved it and if available - will return next year.

We booked an apartment to stay for 5 says in Jerusalem, because with 4 little children we never get a room large enough in a hotel! The experience at this apartment was one of the best of our trip to Israel (if not the best one).
The location is fantastic, real walking distance from the Old City, we had a 5 year old boy and he could make it perfectly. A park nearby, nice little restaurants. Also a supermarket is 3 blocks away, so we had breakfast and dinner at home every day. The kitchen in the flat is kosher (which we aren't), but it was easy to understand what goes where.
The person in charge was very kind and helpful. He set up the wi-fi for us, helped us printing stuff we needed in his nearby office...very nice.
Sheets, matresses and towels were perfectly ok.
A little sunny balcony came in handy to dry our everyday laundry...just don´t expect much of a view.
We are repeating our journey to Israel this year and we already booked the apartment again...this time for a whole week!

for gad nothing was too much trouble. apt was fully equipped w kosher everything necessary, walking distance to the kottel, mahane yehuda and right on the midrechov. perfect for families with children, my hubby or i took turns to go walk about at night. supermarket, internet access, banks, exhcnage and resturaunts all a stones throw away. in fact we hope to return earlly next year! we have reccomended to 3 other families who have all had good experiences there

Great city, great location for this very modern flat (literally on Ben Yehouda st!) 5-10min from the old city walking...the Kids loved it... The Landlord was very helpful in every way, and a very nice guy. Thumbs up! I would recommend to anyone withou a doubt!.

Your appartment is really sitting in the right place: the center of Jerusalem nearby every important touristic sites, in the middle of the life and the heart of that moving city.

Gad, the owner, was here for the check-in and welcomed us warmly and gave us right away the feeling of being home. His English is fluent - what a relief!
Location is right in the center of Jerusalem, close to all attractions, restaurants, museums and other centers of interest.
The apartment is beautiful, high standards, well equipped, has a/C.
