ChicagoPerfect For Families and Resourceful Travelers

We had a great, week-long stay in Sharon's house. It was as advertised and described. First, the location is superb: very close to the old city, restaurants and shops. Most sites are walkable from Zamenhof; if not, taxis were available at the end of the lane (and inexpensive). For adults, the unit has two usable bedrooms. They're air conditioned and quite comfortable. The two bathrooms were quite large, the kitchen was well equipped (we did only breakfasts and snacks). The best part for us was the lovely patio under old fruit trees. We lingered many mornings. Groceries are about two blocks away in several directions. All in all, this was a great find and made for a comfortable, cozy family stay.

We stayed at the amazing Hamaaravim St apartment for a week.
On entering, this beautifully renovated apartment took our breath away- we did not expect something this lovingly restored, spacious and well fitted out. It has all the conveniences of home and is in a fabulous location within an easy walking distance of all the old city locations (and almost anywhere else you want to go when visiting Jerusalem). There is a supermarket and 24hr convenience store close by too.
Sharon was wonderful to deal with-both warm and professional. She went to an effort to show us the features we needed to know about when we arrived, to accommodate us and make sure that we had what we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here. -

New JerseyWonderful house close to old City with space and privacy for our

My husband and I, my son and daughter-in-law and my daughter spent 2 weeks in January, 2012 at the Zamenhof house. Sharon met us at the house when we arrived and showed us how everything worked and she was available when I had a question. I am so glad that we chose to stay here. You can walk to the Old City, Emek Refaim neighborhood, Mahane Yehuda Market and a Supersol supermarket down the street. The house is perfect for a family, with a large living and dining area to spend time together and 3 bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms to provide privacy for time apart. We were able to experience Jerusalem by living like the locals, shopping, cooking and enjoying dinners together. There is even a shopping cart for trips to the supermarket. The food at the Mahane Yehuda market was so fresh and delicious. We enjoyed Shabbat dinners in the comfort of our own "home." The kosher kitchen is fully stocked for food preparation. However, we dined at several restaurants and particularly recommend Eucalyptus and the Dolphin Yam. The house was very clean and beautifully restored with nooks for reading and lounging. One Friday a hard, cold rain pelted the city all day. Our kids ventured to the market to shop for our Shabbat dinner and then we all stayed inside, warm and dry with lots of space to spread out and read, talk, watch TV, nap and eat. (Compare that to sitting in a hotel room)
Be sure to turn on the hot water heater for an hour and 1/2 before you begin showers in the morning. In the evening, the water is warm from the accumulation of solar heating. Finally, having a washer and dryer in your house while on vacation - priceless. -

My family stayed here during our two week trip to Isreal, and I can definately say this was by far the nicest place we stayed. The house is absolutely beautiful - just like the pictures, only better. Sharon was a pleasure to deal with - we had one bit of confusion with our dates, but she was so sweet and bent over backwards to make things work for us. The location of the house can not be beat. Is is walking distance to almost everywhere you would want to go. The Wall, and the old city are a five minute walk, as was shopping, restaurants, the Citadel. I could go on and on about how nice this place is, and for the price we paid, it was a steal! Don't hesitate - just book this place. You will be glad you did.

vancouverWhat a perfect location and fabulous space

The unit was a historic Jerusalem residence with a huge updated moorish style livingroom/dining room - comfortable side yard where we sat and enjoyed the lemon tree that grew there. One could not have a more central location for Jerusalem. We could walk to the centre of town, Machane Yehuda, the old city, King David hotel and the supermarket. The unit was very spacious - updated bathrooms. The owners very kindly provided a crib for our young one. It was a pleasure dealing with Sharon and her husband. Staying in the home made our Jerusalem stay very pleasurable.

I dont think there is a better location in the whole of Jerusalem for either of Sharon's two apartments near Malmilla Mall. Throw into the mix, a delightful owner who really cares about her clients, fabulous historic homes with every comfort and you have the recipe for a perfect stay in Jerusalem. Sharon answered all emails readily, met us as as arranged and gave wonderful advice above and beyond any hotel concierge. Her homes are lovingly restored and have a unique feel about them. being able to walk to every attraction was such a bonus. I cannot recommend these homes highly enough.
