Harpers Ferry, WVParting is such sweet sorrow!

Sitting now on Island Time's deck overlooking sister island St. Kitts off in the distance. We'll be leaving tomorrow after our week stay on Nevis. The house is fantastic, with romantic bedrooms (most certainly the master), luxury sheets, extraordinary views, spaces for all to relax, read, mid-week houskeeping service, etc. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed, stocked with ideal cookware, utensils, as well as spices, soap, paper towels, cloth napkins...you get the idea. Upon arrival, we had a basket with tea, fruit, and rum awaiting us, as well as milk, bread, and eggs in the fridge. (Special thanks to property manager Kay Loomis for her TLC, as well as the thoughtful philosophy of Island Time's owners, who, we understand, are off sailing Bequia!). My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here, bringing along our adult daughters and their significant others. We loved it in every way; the island of Nevis is fantastic, sweet, sparsely developed, and truly a gem of the West Indies.

Island Time house was the most perfect villa we have ever rented in the Carribean! If you like, maximum privacy, quiet, beautiful views, lush gardens, early morning monkeys, extremely clean house, fully equipped gourmet kitchen, comfortable master suite, the owners and KaY (manager) make sure the house is readlily available as if they were staying there, then this is the house for you! Nevis is a quiet island, great restaurant (Lobster Pot), great "Roti", many great restaurants from 5 stars to no stars! We experienced 2 white sand beaches, Honeymoon beach (private) and Oualie Beach, wish there were more white sandy beaches, but we may not have seen them all. The locals were very kind we felt very secure and safe as we explored the island.
We will definately visit Nevis and Island Time again.
p.s. Thank you Kay for stocking the refrigerator prior to our arrival!!! -

Honestly, Island Time is one of the best appointed self-contained villas I've yet seen (and I've travelled extensively in tropical climes around the globe). Meticulous attention to detail and aesthetics that leaves one breathless from sunrise through sunset complimented by a nocturnal orchestra of native fauna. Completed secluded from any neighbors and stunning views over the bay toward St. Kitts. and on clear days beyond. Picturesque does not begin to describe. A true gem! Enjoy!

Boston, MAWonderful Christmas memories...
Left on 01/08/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Where to start in a description of Island Time? With the fabulous views of St. Kitts and the Caribbean? With the wonderful kitchen, filled with a full complement of high-quality kitchen utensils and gadgets that turned "eating in†into an delightful cooking adventure with a view? With the lovely outside shower from which to watch the morning sky over St. Kitts turn from rosy pink to blue and the twinkling lights of Basseterre glow under the warm winter moon? With the light-filled, airy master bedroom that's as much a luxurious cabana as a place to sleep? With the fireflies flashing silently in the yard and the chirping nighttime chorus that lulls you to sleep? Island Time is all this and more. In short, Island Time exceeded our every expectation on every possible front. A sampling of some delightful moments during our two-week Christmas 2010 holiday at Island Time included:
- Scouting out the massive, incredible baobab tree at the Montravers Plantation ruins.
- Savoring a drink on the lounging cushions at Sunshine's.
- Before the excellent and renowned Wednesday pig roast at The Hermitage, watching the hummingbirds buzz among the flowering shrubs.
- Enjoying a Christmas Day swim on Herberts Beach, with a peanut butter and jelly picnic (local passion fruit for desert) to rival any conventional Christmas feast.
- Watching the shy vervet monkeys pick and eat the one flower brave enough to bloom each day on the shrub in the middle of Island Time's backyard.
- Savoring the coconut ice cream at the little ice cream shop on the (east) side of the road in Brick Kiln.
And finally, enjoying every minute in this home. The sheer ease of living and the enjoyment of simple pleasures that Island Time permitted was extraordinary. I found myself fantasizing about how I could make my own home as comfortable and inviting as this one. -

I spent a week with my girlfriend at Island Time and can't wait to go back. The house is in a quiet and private location up hill and the view is incredible. Pretty much guaranteed beautiful morning views on the terrace and gorgeous sunset dinners on the porch. There's almost no other view like it on the island.
We had a nice large room with a private bathroom. And the pool is a nice touch for late morning lounging before hitting the nearby beaches. -

Very comfortable house with all the amenities. Fun to explore the island by day, visiting all the Plantations, beaches etc. and return to a gourmet kitchen (with or without a cook) and savor the fabulous views with the cool breezes blowing. You can also relax by the pool or take wonderful walks. The Four Seasons golf course is just down the hill!

The is a magnificent home filled with warmth and a view unsurpassed. You feel welcome from the moment you set foot in the 4bedrm/31/2 bath w/ the most wonderful dining area on a screened 3 sided porch all w/ high ceilings. The furnishings are comfortable and perfect for relaxing and enjoying every room you encounter. It's full of light and only a few minutes from wonderful resturants and plantations that are a must to visit. The car is dropped off right at you doorstep and the food so delicious with cooks available if you want to stay in and just enjoy your own beautiful surroundings. I loved this house and little piece of paradise and think anyone would agree. My daughter who is 23 also felt it was "the best". One of the most comfortable bed's I've slept in and a veranda that you could stay on all day and night because you look at the beautiful water and lights from St. Kitts. It's a must if you're going to be in Nevis and you want to be high w/ a spectacular view. Hope this lets you know how we felt and that you enjoy it as much as we did.

The best way to describe the experience at island time is what you see is what you get. The villa was extremely spacious, well laid out and equipped perfectly to provide the renter with a wonderful experience. The service provided by the owner and her island representative was Suberb

Left on 12/15/2010 for a stay in July 2010
My family and I loved the home. It was very comfortable and relaxing. Ahhh the wonderful views, the quiet ...The home and neighborhood were just what we were looking for to relax and unwind and read many, many books. My kids were a bit bored on the island, not much to do and not much shopping. But aren't teenagers always a bit bored?
The house manager was very friendly and responsive to all our needs.
