Stayed for a month here. Lovely little place, off the beaten track. Not a luxury villa, but everything you need for a great price. Owner's very nice and helpful. Would definitely come back!

This was the most enjoyable part of our Bali holiday was coming home to our own little house. If you are keen to ride a bike this is the perfect escape. The back yard was green all around with cows grazing and the sound of the bells as they ate was a blissful way to start the day. Once we had figured out all the places to go, we grew to love the place even more. A great place for kids, and so quiet, away from the hussle and bustle.

singaporeNice little spot but without motorized transport difficult

We enjoyed the little patio garden and relaxing with the Dvds. But previous reviews somehow seemed like this was much closer to any beach than it was(we really explored the whole area for a couple weeks) and if you arent up for navigating heavy trafficked narrow highways (completly unwalkable) on a rental moped or car that surround this difficult to find little country place (for taxi drivers) then it is a bit of a dissapointment. (We originally hope to ride bikes but even though its country the area is very populated by locals who work in the tourist industry in southern Bali) Also the photos were taken at what must have been a newer stage..the beds were a bit musty, and insect life was abundent when we first arrived, the bathrooms to bedrroms have no doors and one never flushed properly. Kitchen is like camping (Mostly all fine with me except for the transportaion issue just dont expect villa for the price) Owner is nice but a bit spacey and his caretaker is also very nice but a bit hard to communicate with since he doesnt speak much English. A information sheet with how/where to replace the drinking water, gas, do laundry and the phone number for cheapest taxi company (blue bird) plus clear list of nearby stores and restuarnants would be helpful. A "Cultural Park" is in walking distance by the way and has a great little Balinese shrine near these impressive rock formations where the monks are very friendly and there are lots of cute puppies. We enjoyed are stay overall but since I dont drive a moped and just crossing the bigger road to the local restaurant was dangerous (and i have lived in Mexico City) I would not go back. Ps. the noises in the attic turned out to be a cat (dont be scared, its an open country house format)--and there is a very cute frog who visits the pond every night.

Owner
I am very sorry you felt this way and wish youd told me how you felt. Funny you say this since I never met you or talked with you except for email correspondence. And anyone that has ever been to Bali or Asia must be aware that it's busy. Too bad you never tried to contact me to help you with your stay. So your review was very disappointing and unfair.

When arriving to the place, we were skeptical,,, off the main nice road leading to Uluwatu you make a left behind the nice college of Bali...on a dirt road and it is the wild west of Bali,,, big green fields with Cattle, people buying land all around and building villas and then you arrive at the nice little house that when you walk in you feel warm already. colorful walls and nice little garden with an outdoor shower, and all that you really need to get the vacation going. You can cook, watch Dvd's or lay down on the patio and read a book. And the location is fantastic, right near Nusa Dua's gorgeous beaches and 5 star hotels, all the beaches: dreamland, balangan, uluwatu, jimbaran, Padang Padang, all so close. And can walk to some good restaurants, bars, massage places, pharmacy, grocery store...its just nice and simple and worth every penny saved
we stayed as two couples. Nice queen size beds in both rooms -
