We spent 10 days at the Villa with our daughter and family, seven people in total. The kids loved the swimming pool, the villa is spacious and the staff charming and obliging. Argus the driver was a great help and we felt we had seen and discovered more about Bali than ever before. On balance it was great location although at times the drives seemed interminable. However, I'm not sure 'luxury' is the term I'd apply to the Villa. Functional and comfortable yes, but not luxurious. The furniture is getting tired, there were insufficient glasses (e.g. wine glasses) and the breakfasts, while nicely presented were boring and predictable. One would have thought croissants could be available! Nevertheless we enjoyed the stay but doubt we 'd stay there again, mainly because of its location.

We have maintained our complimentary Indonesian/western full spread breakfast, as we are aware that most of the other villas would provide a simple continental breakfast for their guests. However, due to your extended duration of stay with us, our staff would be happy to assist you with your personal request for breakfast. We provide personal butler services, as per our web site, where our guest are able to make their request to our manager on site. At the same time, we have instructed our staff to offer guests with long duration of stay, with other choices of breakfast, with immediate effect.
Villa Karang Bali has a maximum occupancy of 12 guests, and we always ensure that the minimum glass ware are available on site. We have taken action to include more glass wares in the villa since.
The management of Villa Karang Bali are always open to constructive suggestions by our guests, and only with your comments, are we able to make the stay for our future guests even more comfortable and enjoyable. Our stay here over 7 days was calming and spiritually relaxing. Away from the hustle and bustle of city living which suits us really well.Excellent breakfast in the mornings, breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and stunning sunsets in the evenings was an unforgettable experience.
Excellent service staffs in the villa attends to your needs without imposing upon your privacy which we value aplenty. The villa itself is spotlessly clean and beautiful.Personal driver Pak agus is knowledgeable about local routes and with 3 young kids in tow, we were assured of his presence of calm and safety consciousness on long journeys and busy roads.
The location of villa on Bukit away from the commercialized touristy areas of Kuta and Seminyak makes this a really wonderful experience for absolute privacy.Pandawa beach which is located just down the cliff is remotely beautiful just to spend the day in. Night security within the compound and neighbouring villas provides additional peace for the anxious mind.
Having said that, we will definitely be back again for the privacy that Villa Karang Bali offers.

We went as a group of 6 and stayed for 7D/6N.
Villa Karang is excellent. It was spacious. It holds 4 suites, each with bathroom, king size bed and walk in wardrobe. The infinity pool was 12 meter long and of a rectangular shape and was kept very clean. We started our day with a few laps in the pool and ended our day soaking in the pool or chilling out by the pool side. The living room was huge with space to have group games and dinner. The 4 suites are situated in the 4 corners of the villa so that you can have some privacy when staying in the suite while there is also the living room acting as common area for group activities. Full sized glass window/door to bring in sunlight and wind breeze. The villa is indeed just next to the ocean. The only complain about the villa is the internet connection is not very good. Cell phone network also does not work in the suites in lower floor. Apart from this, everything worked perfect.
The people working in the villa provided us excellent service. We were surprised that there are more than 10 people serving us (villa manager, cleaners, driver, chef, gardener). They are all very nice, helpful and speak excellent English. The villa is kept very clean. There are always towels, bottled water, fruits. We would alsoexpress our appreciation to our driver - Argas. Argas is very nice and fluent in English. He knows Bali very well. We basically told him what we want to see/do/eat and he would recommend us the place and drive us there. Argas also told us a lot about Bali. We did not join any local tour because argas basically acted as our tour guide! In all, we were very pleased with the service we re provided.
We had to say, when we were booking the villa, we already liked the it a lot. And what we experienced simply exceeded our already very high expectation. If you are travelling as a big group and would like to have a peaceful holiday in Bali, we would highly recommend villa karang for your stay!

Ok there might have been some misrepresentation here... Villa Karang should be more accurately described to be located in Uluwatu, not Jimbaran - in fact Jimbaran is almost 20 minutes' drive from the villa, we very quickly understood why the driver was included in the villa price - you definitely need one to go anywhere! The private beach is also a few minutes' drive away so don't expect to be able to wake up and jump into the ocean - you may jump into the very awesome infinity pool instead.
Despite the above, the villa is very, very nice. It was more spacious than we imagined, great decor, very comfortable lounges and parlours for chilling out, and I could not have enough of the pool. The bedrooms were spread out in different parts of the villa so there is a lot of privacy, and each of them was tastefully decorated.

The villa is located on a cliff, which sits up to a hundred meters above sea level. This is the reason why we can enjoy such an amazing view of the Indian Ocean. In order to enjoy the private beach beneath, it will require a drive below, which is barely 5 minutes from the villa, as you have mentioned. Villa Karang Bali is indeed gazetted under Jimbaran, as it covers a really huge area in Bali. It will depend on where about in Jimbaran that one would like to visit. We have mapped out the exact timing of travel to the popular spots which include places like Nusa Dua sea sports, and Jimbaran famous seafood bbq, which is a 15 minutes drive from the villa.
In order to enjoy this amazing ocean/cliff view, one has to be located at the southern edge of Bali. With this in mind, we have included a seven seater car and driver with petrol for our guests convenience. Therefore, not only our guests will be able to enjoy the serenity of the ocean, but yet be able to visit all popular spots in Bali, without having to join a tour and incurring additional expenses.

We stayed here with our extended family including 2 kids under the age of 7 and one infant for a total of 5 nights. The property is clean and modern, and is split over two levels. There are two bedrooms downstairs and two more bedrooms up stairs. The rooms down stairs have steep staircases so not ideal for the kids and the elderly. There should be a kid’s safety gate at the top of the internal staircase.
The lower garden area should have some chairs to sit and relax. The view from the pool (which is tiny) and the bale/gazebo is not actually the same as you will see on the website; you will still get great ocean view however this is interrupted to the left hand side with a construction site (new villas being built) and another villa directly in front. So this was somewhat disappointing.
The villa location is slightly remote, which was not a real issue given the villa car was made available. The nearest beach is about a 5 minute drive from the villa. The diver was superb for the whole of our holiday, top marks!!
The breakfast for the first couple of days was very average (over cooked, too salty etc). However, this was addressed on the 3rd day after I spoke to the owners and from then on the food was good. There is the option to order lunch one day in advance, we didn’t bother with this as the menu was over priced compared to what is available in the general area.
For those that need internet access, there is free wifi available which very slow. Also depending on you mobile phone service provider the phone signal can be average.
We had an enjoyable holiday, and as a regular visitor to Bali we will try elsewhere the next time.Response from Villa Karang Bali - 09/24/2012

We had a family reunion at Villa Karang Bali with 8 adults and 2 children, and stayed there for 5 nights. We simply felt at home with everything was provided for and the staff were very helpful. The villa is great, clean, modern with a nice pool. The laundry service was also a big plus for us.

We were received very well including the pick up from the airport. The house is very nice and well maintained. For outdoor comfort, more comfortable chairs would be good as there were only two sunloungers. The area is fantastic and quiet with an incredible view. The villa was away from the main town but it came with a car and chauffeur which was very convenient.The staff were friendly and helpful and communication is no problem cos they speak English.
The villa was lovely, clean and comfortable. The children love the pool and spent afternoons by the pool.
Evening times were best spent in the gazebo enjoying the night sea breeze, drinking wine and chatting away.
Overall, it was a good place to spent our holiday. I will recommend this place to families with children or a romantic getaway for some.

Villa Karang is a very spacious and comfortable rental with great access to a superb local quite beach and only 10 minutes from the major supermarket and restaurants. The staff make you feel most welcome and having the driver available during the day is a real benefit. The Villa is well looked after and maintained and the staf are very helpful, without encroaching upon your privacy. The Owners, James and Leli are very efficient in dealing with your requests, so you have confidence that everything will go according to Plan. They and Made the Villa Manager orgnised a very successful in house pre wedding party celebration for our friends and family. Overall, a good choice.

We had a wonderful and very memorable stay at Villa Karang, the villa is immaculate, the staff are beautiful and very attentive, the driver we had was very helpful and offered great advice on places to eat. Each room at the villa was gorgeous, the master room with outside bath was out of this world. The children and adults loved the infinity pool, which was gorgeous and really well maintained. Secret beach nearby is well worth a visit!

I found this villa by browsing the internet, then I msg to them about villa availability and the rates. They respond my msg really fast! (I'm so amaze) I went there for my family trip, (march 2012) they pick us up at the airport (returns).
the staff is really nice, I feel so welcome in this villa.
the location is perfect, we have to through the small winding streets, but it's all worth it! nice view and very clear/fresh air. and quite.
Surprisingly, the villa looks even better than in the pictures!! (most of the villa looks better in pic , right?)
I really want to stay there in my next trip to Bali. :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the villa n soaked in the pool everyday. We loved the huge rooms n especially the outdoor gazebo n dining area. It was very appealing to the eyes. The ladies who made up the villa were all so sweet n accommodating. One of them would stay back if we came back late just to check if all was well or if we needed anything before she left. Dont forget to ask them to play the Indonesian instrumental music for u on the iPod, it's really nice n I'm searching for one like that back home. It just brings the atmosphere to another level. Only request would maybe be a mini fridge on te living room floor in case we wanted a cold drink at night, we cud help ourselves. Our driver Madi was wonderful as well n brought us wherever we wanted to go n patient as well. Great service provided by the villa.

Really nice and spacious modern villa with modern furnishings.Only complains is the TV area lacks air-conditioning or a ceiling fan..it gets a bit stuffy when your lounging watching TV. Also poor internet connection and driver service is only up to 6pm, Usd10 per hr afer that..

Our car/driver facility is given out to our guests as a kind gesture by the villa management, for the convenience of our guest. Expenses on a regular taxi would however cost much more. The going rates for most villas are found to be the same.
Unfortunately the internet stability in this country is unlike most other places. We seek your kind understanding on this matter, and the management has been constantly upgrading this facility to our best ability.

Prompt service, wonderful view of sky and sea; I specially love the white morning glory(?) and beautiful decor, relaxing and peaceful surrounding and inside the villa, location is a bit far but okay.
Actually I like the time spent in the villa but because of the traveling and sightseeing don't get to enjoy more time inside. Overall experience of the villa is wonderful. Villa is hard to locate if you are trying to make your way there on your own. Make sure you hv the manager's number with you. He is more than willing to assist.
Villa is spacious and beatiful. All rooms comes with attached bathroom and the masterbedroom get the seaview. Furniture are like new and well maintained. Wifi though available, signal is very weak or almost next to nothing. Tv channels are great with something for everyone. There is a full kitchen, if you wish, u can purchase food nearby and showoff ur cooking to the staff!
Great location to chill out and enjoy the seaview. Oh, and the beach.. which is abt 10 mins away, is very nice. Please at least visit once.
One thing to note, i find the swimming pool rather deep.Approximately 1.5m deep throughtout i think. i feel it not suitable for young children

Thank you for your comments. Yes, in order to enjoy the amazing view of the Indian Ocean, one has to be located along this cliff on the "Bukit" @ Jimbaran. This is why, our guest not only enjoys the tranquility of the Ocean environment, with peaceful sound of the waves, but also get to be pampered by our in-house car/driver complimentary service daily, amongst others.
Our lap pool has a constant depth of 1.2m throughout, for daily swimming exercises. We noted your concern on the Wifi, and the management is looking into the upgrading of this facility and we will have this ready by beginning of October 2011.
We take our guests comments very seriously as we feel that this is a true way of improving our services and facilities to our valued guests.

Our group enjoyed our stay at Villa Karang Bali,although a bit remote for those wanting to enjoy the nightlife and excellent restaurants of Seminyak area. Our 28 year old son moved to Seminyak to be closer to friends as taxis could not find the property at night.
The staff at Villa Karang are delightful and friendly and always wanting to be of assistance.

We absolutely loved the privacy of the villa and pool. The service provided by the staff was exceptionally friendly making our stay all the more enjoyable. The road up to the villa can be a little challenging but we saw this as part of the adventure and was worth the views we received from the top. The best thing about Villa Karang is the privacy and tranquility. It was blissfully peaceful and made our holiday very relaxing.

I reserve the villa for 3 days, after i saw the beatuiful view from the website. These days were the most beautiful & relaxing days of Bali, The view of the Ocean was fantastic, the design of the villa was so beautiful, I wish my house to be like this villa,the rooms were big and clean, the staff were very helpful, respectful, and friendly , with an excellent manager & service, . Villa location is excellent, close to several beaches, such as new kota beach and others . The Driver is on your request from the morning to 7 p.m.

The villa was awesome, the staffs are really friendly and professional. Service was great. The massage was so good that we did it everyday. The food was delicious and we can get to choose our breakfast everyday.
I would like to thanks James for making my birthday such a memorable and unforgettable one. Specially thanks to 'Made' and his team in making my stay so comfortable that I don't mind staying for another week. The driver took good care of us throughout our tours. I would definitely come back for a longer stay the next time.

Never stayed in a very comfy, relaxing, privacy with a beautiful ocean view before. With the warm & friendly welcoming from its staffs made us feel even more comfortable. Can feel the nature of the birds side the pool accompanying my hubby & son swimming. Can heard the cows mooing just in the front of the empty field. Can see the amazing sun rise & set. The beaches nearby were fantastic!!...Experiences staying in Villa Karang Bali just makes us wanna be there again very soon! Love it so very much..

Ehmmm...It is only half day stay in the villa, I arrived at the villa in the midnight and left the villa on the next day at noon but my family spent a week in the villa. They found Peace and very relaxing indeed. I myself really enjoyed the stay even in a very short time. I feel good with the surrounded area and environment "back to nature Kampong feeling”, Clean and Nice, Calm and Peace kind of villa with Spectacular Indian Ocean View. The Horizon is just in front of you while seating in the Living room, in the Bedroom , in the Bale Bale, or even you are in the pool. I should say "yes”, we have good time and for sure will come back again. Good Luck and keep going !

Duration required to Denpasar and Seminyak is approx. an hour. We fully understand your concerns, however our car & driver services are provided to our guests as a courtesy by the management for the convenience of our guests. You will find that most private villas within the vicinity does not have this provisions for their guests. Moreover at our hourly charge beyond the 8 hrs daily, it will still work out to be more economical than using a taxi. Ultimately our utmost concern is also with our guests safety, which in this case, you will be driven by our resident driver.

villa karang is a beautiful villa, exquisitely decorated, located in quiet surroundings and with a stunning view. staff is extremely helpful and friendly, it has plenty of space for a big family. We recommend it to anyone with a big family looking for a relaxing time in extreme comfort. The fact that there is a car and driver provided adds to a most joyful experience.

Our stay at Villa Karang Bali was perfect as we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle from the city and be somewhere absolutely private and quiet. The location is rather far away from the main Kuta area but really gave us a lot of space to appreciate each other's company, the serenity and the wonderful view.
The service of the staff made us feel so much at home, very warm, welcoming and the food provided in-house was great, even better than what we ate outside.
We could never have such a relaxing and peaceful experience anywhere else, even though we have been to quite a few beach resorts. Thank you for the absolutely unforgettable experience :)
