LAUSANNE - SWITZERLANDOur first expereince in Bali
Left on 08/07/2011 for a stay in August 2010
The house is a perfect retreat from everyday stress but if you want the hustle and bustle of the beach and night life it is a short distance by taxi - who always arrive on time after a phone call. The pool is inviting and refreshing and the staff are descreet and are perfect cooks - try their fish. There is also a driver available to take you on guided tours - we used him a couple of times and he was a perfect welcome on arrival at the airport - recomend you book him.
The decor is traditional and well designed. It was a great vacation and we hope to go back in the near future - say hello to the Geco for us. -

Absolutely loved this place. It was our first time to Bali and we chose to go with the private villa rather than the hotel. For us it was great.
There are two bed rooms. The master bed room is spacious with en suite bath with partial open ceiling. I point this out because the warm temperatures make open air showers very enjoyable. The second bed room was just as nice but smaller.
The house had several unique features that just made it feel exotic. Firstly there is no front wall to the house. Might sound strange but the temperature was such that it did not need it.
You woke up and were immediately outdoors in the living room overlooking the green vegetation all the way to the beach. There was never any feeling of exposure however as the property is surrounded by a high fence that provides complete privacy.
There is a wonderful lap pool; hop down the stairs to the courtyard and you're in a private pool it seems you'd only find in a place like Bali.
The house had two cooking and cleaning staff. The Indonesian meals they prepared were just delicious. In addition there was also a security guard at night.
We splurged on several occasions to have masseuses come up from the the local hotels to provide massages poolside. If I remember well we paid about $10 per massage including transport up to the house.
It's a bit of a ride to the shops and beach so good idea to have transportation. We rented a motorcycle which I could park in the private garage. For us this was perfect as we like to ride. If not a bike then I suggest a car - although before we sorted out the bike, we were using taxis - and they were not very expensive
all in all a very nice place.

New York CityTranquil with Beautiful Views and attention to detail
Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in October 2010
My husband and I have visited the villa several times now and absolutely love the design, the attention to detail from the owner and wonderful service we received on each and every visit, from helping with restaurant recommendations to cooking up delicious balinese meals with our purchases from the nearby fish market.
The villa is perfect for 2 couples vacationing together, looking for a tranquil environment with the comforts of home and more. It is close to restaurants and cafes and just a short drive from jimbaran beach and the beautiful beaches near uluwatu, many of them unknown to the tourists, but recommended to us by the villa owner for surfing and sunbathing.
The one thing to note about the villa is that you really do need transport, we usually get a scooter, but it's very easy to hire a car and driver on a daily rate or call a taxi when you need to venture out into the madness or head for the sunset beach bbqs a few minutes away in Jimbaran - sinking your toes into the sand, while you take in the sunset and watch the plans come into land, enjoying a crisp bottle of white wine and bbq seafood for pennies, watching the lanterns light up along the beach, is an absolute highlight of a vacation at the Villa. -

ShanghaiA Wholly Relaxing Villa Experience in Bali
Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Villa Senja is perfectly situated about 10 minutes by scooter or car from one of the best beaches in Bali at Jimbaran Bay and only slightly further to other majestic beaches such as Dreamland and also has easy access to nice local and international restaurants with a variety of cuisine. Shopping is also easily accessible as is golf, which is only 15 minutes away at the New Kuta golf course (one the best and the newest in Bali). The location of the villa is in a very quiet area off the main road which ensures a peaceful quietness and the view of Jimbaran Bay and the Indian Ocean is truly remarkable. The villa has a modern look and feel to it, possessing all the amenities and conveniences one could possibly wish for. The household help (Ketut, Wayan and Nyoman) were terrific, always thoroughly helpful, cheerful and flexible. They were there when you needed them, and would also make a point of leaving you on your own when that is desired. I had a most relaxing and stimulating time and came back throughly refreshed!

Hong KongAmazingly stylish, yet comfortable villa

Beautifully appointed villa with a modern design and furnishings, yet still extremely comfortable and relaxing. The staff are extremely helpful, not to mention excellent cooks! You will need to use a driver or taxis to get to nightlife in Seminyak or to the beach, but you may well end up not moving from the villa!
