Wonderful stay for 8 persons (6 adults and 2 kids). Plenty of room, great spaces that are private for couples, and well appointed for a touch of luxury. The house seems quite new still. Airconditiioning worked well, the swimming pool was excellent for the adults and children alike. The staff were helpful, particularly Darna the driver who was excellent.
There's lots of space, the house can be configured to suit 6 or 8 people. The location of the house in Jimbaran could be an issue for people expecting to step out the front door into some action. This is not seminyak; it's a great space to have a relaxing family holiday. Lots to do a short drive away - so people just need to be willing to plan a day's activities in advance.
You could pleasantly spend the whole day in the villa if you didn't want to head out into Jimbaran bay or any of the surrounding attractions.
The meals, particularly breakfasts, were vey good and very cheap.
More towells would be handy - expecially for the pool.

Stayed with my partner and extended family for 6 nights. Could not have had a better time. Great layout and facilities with the main 3 bedrooms spread out. Only drama we had was a faulty fridge, repair people came immediately and fixed. Our driver Darna was absolutely amazing. Food was spectacular. This is perfect for large families or groups of friends who want to stay together but also have their own space. Location is a little out if the way, but closer to great sights and venues than other suburbs, the availability and flexibility of the driver made this a non issue.
A relaxing and very comfortable villa

We loved Villa Marghertia and all the staff. Super quiet location in Jimbaran hills but close enough to major eating areas and entertainment. Clean and comfortable with four truly spacious besrooms. A winner for a group. The true advantage was the staff. Sindu Oka Darna and sugi could not so enough. They really went above and beyond for us making a. Very memorable family holiday. Highly recommend this villa.

We have just returned from nine nights at Villa Margarita with our three children (12,10,6) and highly recommend it. The location is a little remote, you can't walk to the beach or any restaurants so you will be using the car a lot. We can't recommend Darna enough, he was so lovely and we all cried at the airport when we left! Other highlights..beautiful meals cooked by the ever-smiling Ocha, delicious meals at nearby Pepenero and Balique, water sports at Nusa Dua, amazing Finns Beach Club! What we liked least...lots of sitting in Bali traffic if we wanted to eat out in Seminyak or travel to a beach. The roosters were annoying but you do get used to them and they are everywhere in Bali! The villa is spotless, very comfortable and the pool is beautiful. Ask for Darna, so great with kids, very knowledgeable and so helpful.

We had a fantastic six nights staying at Villa Margarita. The villa itself was lovely and our every need was catered for. We had three children in our group and the pool fence they put up was great for peace of mind and was done in a very clever way so as to fit in with the rest of the architecture. Our only (very small!) complaint would be that as it advertises itself as family friendly it would have been good to have had plastic crockery available. Overall though, I would highly recommend the villa and can't wait to return!

A really enjoyable 6 days and nights at Villa Margarita. The villa itself was just what we were looking for and the staff ensured we had a fantastic stay. Would highly recommend to anyone, and hope we get an opportunity to return soon!

Our family of four shared the villa with my sister's family. There was plenty of space for all 7 of us inside and out. Putu was more like a host and tour guide than driver. He's warm and knowledgeable and cared for us throughout our visit. We had 2 beach days, surfed, jetskiied, visited Turtle Island, zip lined, saw cultural dance and temples, shopped, had some great meals and time to relax as well. Thanks to Susan and her team for an exceptional holiday.

We stayed at 3 of Susan's villas for a total of 2 weeks. Our driver Putu stayed with us for the duration of our stay and was simply wonderful. A very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Our daughter fell in love with him! Nothing was too much trouble for Putu. He made reservations for us for dinner, suggested restaurants to visit, booked babysitters, suggested day trips and scenic drives, etc. As we were travelling with a toddler, Susan and her team provided pool fences at the 3 properties we stayed at, plus arranged car seat hire and provided a high chair. This made our stay incredibly relaxing. The housekeepers at each property were excellent.
Our first stay was at Villa Margarita. It was our favourite layout of the 3 villas we stayed in. The living area is huge and incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of spots to lounge during the day and night. All 3 bedrooms are on the same level (2 are interconnecting) so it was a good layout for a family. The house was well cared for and well equipped. The pool was gorgeous and had a lovely deck. It is about a 10 minute drive to the beach so do visit there for a sunset seafood BBQ.
I highly recommend this villa.

Perfect for a special birthday celebration with family and frien

The Villa is luxury plus and accommodated our family of 7 perfectly in 3 double bedrooms and an upstairs twin bed study room. From airport pick-up to our departure a week later our every need was attended to.
What we liked least:
1. The Villa is in a beautiful, remote area, however everywhere we wanted to go we had to drive. The traffic is very congested and it took us a long time to get anyway - even a drive to the beach or restaurant. For people who want a holiday just relaxing around the Villa, this would be perfect. We found if one person wanted to go somewhere, we all tended to tag along, because it took so long for Rama to come back and take the others somewhere else.
2. Although one of our party (who arrived first) was greeted by Padma from Management and given generous Villa instructions, we found contact with Sindu, the Villa manager, to be fairly non-existent and he was not always available when we needed to finalize our Surprise Banquet, or our final departure account. He was, however, very helpful when one of our party was ill.
What we liked best: Special mention has to go to two very special people...
1. Rama, our driver for the week. Nothing was too much trouble and he was the perfect tourist guide as well as driving us wherever we wanted to go, day and night. He was enthusiastic and always ready to have a laugh with us. He worked tirelessly. You're number one, Rama.
2. Oka, our Villa attendant, who was on hand to cook us delicious breakfasts when we required it, do the shopping, and keep the Villa in perfect order. Oka also assisted her chef in preparing a most delicious 10 course birthday banquet, and decorated the Villa with handmade artifacts. Beautiful and stunning, and absolutely amazed our birthday boy. Thank you again, Oka.
All in all we had a very enjoyable, but hectic week.

Our family of 7 adults and 2 children stayed 4D3N at Villa Margarita. We were warmly welcomed by Sindu, the Guest Relations Manager who spoke excellent English. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious and well laid out and thoughtfully furnished and kept very clean and tidy by Oka, the maid, who also cooked us delicious breakfasts. We also enjoyed our dinners cooked by the villa chef, Sugi. We had 3 therapists come to the villa for our massage session which was good and convenient.
The villa vehicle and driver provided was indeed a service much appreciated. Rama was not only our driver, he was also the guide and he gave us an insight on the Balinese people, the culture and religion. He was also a hit with our toddler who took a liking to him.
It was a delight to deal with the owner, Susan and she was very accommodating. The villa is ideal for families and group of friends in search of relaxation in a luxurious villa.
We hope to return soon to enjoy the hospitality provided by Susan and the Villa Team in her other Bali properties.
Wonderful family getaway

We've just returned from a wonderful 8 nights at Villa Margarita on a first trip to Bali.
Our group of two adults and three teenagers found a clean and spacious home away from home on arrival. Each bedroom has it's own en-suite and they are plenty of room to gather together or have some time out on your own.
As a location, Jimbaran was the spot we were hoping it would be. Not too far away from the action but with a sense of safety by being in a quieter area. It's possible to walk to the beach from the villa but it's not an easy process so you need to be prepared to drive. Sunset dinner on the beach in Jimbaran was a highlight. Water lapping up against your toes while you each grilled prawns!
Housekeeper Oka presented us a wonderful cooked breakfast each morning which was a lovely treat. Our security guard was always about quietly on the background had had a with a big smile when we crossed paths.
Our driver Yasa was so much more than just transport. He was also our tour guide and educator on many of the aspects of Bali. I think it would be safe to say he made the trip all the more special for us and we were sad to say goodbye to him!
Thanks Susan, Sindu and the Villa Team. We'll hope to be back sooner than later!

Hi, We stayed for 5 nights in June and had an amazing time.
The house is lovely, the pool was great, the cooking was amazing.
The only thing is that you really need the driver (which is provided) as the house is a little hard to access by foot.
Jimbaran is such a lovely relaxing area. We had amazing meals at Balique and Pepenero - just down the road. I would go back to the house any day!

Staying in Villa Margarita was a dream. The villa itself was amazing with big bedrooms and bathrooms, a big hall, a dining hall,a kitchen and our own private pool. With the driver to fetch us wherever we wanted to go, the maid and butler helping us and a chef who makes the most delicious meals, it made our stay in Bali absolutely enjoyable. A big thank you to everyone there! :)

As our booking was pretty last minute, I was very anxious to nail down all the details as soon as possible. Susan was very patient and responded to all my emails promptly. She was also willing to accommodate to my request to make payment in a currency not stated on the rental agreement, which made the booking so much easier.
The villa was very spacious with ensuite bathrooms in all bedrooms. The fully air-conditioned villa meant that we could always hide away from the sweltering heat and the mosquitoes that Bali is famous for. The well-sized pool was a great place for us to chill after a day out sightseeing.
Our housekeeper, Trishna, was extremely helpful and acceded to all our requests. Although there were some minor incidents such as the curtain rod falling and the aircon leaking, all issues were always solved by the time we returned to the villa at night. Sindu, the Guest Relations Manager, was just a call away and was always helpful (e.g. arrange massage therapists for us within the hour).
As the villa is hidden away in a quiet corner, we were really dependent on our driver, Deden, who brought us everywhere, advised on the itinerary, helped us take photographs and even buy soaps (in bulk as souvenirs). Even though we always had a very long decision process as to where we would like to go and made him wait for us for hours while we dine, he never once grumbled and was always happy to answer our queries.
One slight gripe I had was that the villa had too many roosters as neighbours (not that Susan and the Villa Team can control that)! The roosters were constantly crowing (even at night! -_-) and could be really annoying in the morning when we were trying to have a sleep-in.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay at the villa and all of us wished that we had arranged for a longer holiday at Bali. I will definitely recommend the villa to my friends who are heading to Bali for a trip!

Our stay at the Margarita was amazing, we only stayed for 5 days which was too short for my liking! The villa has got 4 massive size bedrooms all with adjoining bathrooms and is fitted with quality features throughout. We had a party of 10 people and a toddler and it was very spatious and comfortable for us all. The upstairs bedroom was almost like a sepearate villa in itself with an adjoining study area and balcony that looked out over to the pool. The location was away from the main town but only a short drive away, and having a driver on hand was very handy. Gede our driver was very friendly and happy to take us wherever and whenever we wanted to go. Oka the housekeeper was lovely and cooked us a traditional Balinese style breakfast. We also had the chef make us a traditional style Balinese dinner which was delicious also. We were welcomed by Sindu the property manager who was very polite. We especially loved the spa services that were offered to us - massages, manicures and pedicures at bargain prices, 3 therapists came to the villa and spent a few hours with us. All in all I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

We all had a wonderful Xmas in Bali! Such a enjoyable trip! Susan's team and herself, Sindu, Oka, Sugi, Yasa were great. Specially thanks to Yasa and Oka, Yasa is not only a driver but a travel consultant! He did his best throughout our stay. Get up early and stay up late. Oka did very well on the house keeping and so attentive. As villa got quite a few mosquitoes, so we bought mosquito-repellent incense. The next day, we found a new pack of incense on table. We knew that must be prepared by Oka. We deeply appreciated their efforts!
The villa is spacious and well maintained with a nice pool. Every rooms are en-suites. The upper deck can convert into living room or bedroom. What it described by Susan, will be what you see and feel. Nothing much to say, Susan will manage all your needs!
7 of us had a such memorable time in Bali. With Susan and her team involved, we thank you once again. Definitely will return and try Susan's other villas in the future. Cheers! :)

From the moment of arrival when we saw Yasa, we felt welcome. All the staff were wonderful and it was really special to interact with them everyday. All our issues were resolved quickly and always with a smile.
The villa is beautiful and well kept and has a view of Jimbaran Bay from the upstairs deck, great for breakfast or dinner! We spent a lot of our nighttime in the pool and regularly forgot about dinner till 9:30 - 10:00pm.
The Villa Manager Sindu was always helpful when needed. The cook Oka was a sweet lady who cleaned and made wonderful breakfasts until she unfortunately badly cut her finger preparing her own families breakfast. Fortunately Sugi the chef stepped up and made us some wonderfully tasty breakfasts and dinner. It wasn't until the last night we realised the gardener/maintenance man was also live in security, very comforting. Yasa, our driver, became our friend, guide, food & shopping personal consultant and really made our trip a wonderful experience. We miss him most of all!
Thanks again to Susan and her team! Do yourself a favour and enjoy a stay in this relaxing quite place which is still close enough to the action and noise if you want to get envolved :)

In October 2012 my wife and I spent one week of our honeymoon at Villa Margarita. What a great choice this was! Susan was able to accommodate us on short notice and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Villa Margarita is a beautiful property and is very well maintained both inside and out. We cannot say enough about Susan's wonderful staff. Sindu was a very kind man, extremely helpful in accommodating our needs during our stay. Yuni did an wonderful job keeping the villa clean and was always there to make us feel spoiled. Putu our driver was the best! Putu defines customer service and we absolutely cherished our time with him. We really miss Putu and our daily adventures with him! Getting back to the Villa we have no negative comments. We loved getting morning massages by the pool and really enjoyed the dinners that we did poolside! Next time we come back we plan on eating more dinners at the Villa! Sugi is an excellent chef and his dinners are well worth the money! I have nothing but praise for this Villa and the wonderful staff that awaits!

Susan's staff was as usual absolutely fantastic! Kind and helpful, always smiling! The villa manager Sindu welcomed us to this magnificent villa! All rooms are very spacious and so beautifully presented, it was just a dream come true to stay there for 8 days. Peaceful and connected very well to the most southern tip of the island with the best beaches: Karma Kandara and Finn's Beach club. I loved that the master bedroom was on the ground floor connected to the incredible lounge and dinning room and huge kitchen and the gorgeous pool is just the highlight of this very magical villa hidden amongst the Frangipani trees. A special thanks to Putu the Villa driver who always knew the best places to take us and gave us the best tips when we wanted to discover new places last minute.

We had a great stay here in Jimbaran, I would highly recommend the villa. The staff were great (discrete but very good), and loved the relaxing villa. The pool is the main feature, but all the bedrooms are lovely too.
The only negative is the wildlife around that woke us up early most mornings, and the villa is high up a hill so you really need a car to get anywhere.
However it's a good villa and I would recommend it.

Villa Marguerita is a a beautiful villa in Jimbaran. We stayed there with our kids and my brother-in-law. The staff there were great - very accommodating. One memory of my stay that will remain with me is my being half way through dressing my two year old and my six month old waking up. I left my 2 year old to get my six month old and when I returned he was fully dressed. The staff often did considerate and helpful acts for us. Our driver, Koman, was available 24/7 for us and was very helpful also. The villa was very child friendly (we have a 2 year old and 6 month old)

Myself, my husband and our 14 month old son stayed at Villa Margarita for a week in May 2012. It was a truly relaxing time as Susan had arranged for a pool fence to be installed (for a small fee), and as such we had peace of mind for the visit. It is a great place to stay if you have young children. The staff were amazing - and incredibly helpful - in particular Putu Oka was wonderful helping out at meal times with our son, and Rama was incredibly accommodating as the driver. The meals we had at the villa were amongst the best we had during our entire Bali trip. The villa itself is very well appointed and of a high standard. It's located in a very peaceful area, so perfect if you want to get away from it all. We would very highly recommend staying there.

Komang is a great man who would do anything for you and his knowledge was very helpful. Yuliani was just a delight to have around the children. We stayed there for a week and the villa is really fantastic. The situation is great to reach the beaches in Jimbaran and the south, the best ones in Bali, and it has lots of restaurants nearby. The area is more quiet than the overcrouded Kuta and Seminyak, a very good place for hollidays.
The villa is fantastic. Very spatious, nice views, and all the materials and furniture are of the best quality. The swimminpool is bigger compared to other villas, the garden with trees and flowers, the beds are very confortable, each room with it's own spatious bathroom. Downstairs it's got a huge livingroom and another one upstairs that can be used also as a fourth room. In the terrace upstairs you can enjoy the breeze and the seeviews, which makes it the perfect place for an relaxed evening. It even has a fishpond!
The management was also very good. Susan's teem was very helpful and they contributed a good deal to a wonderful vacation. It was really worth the experience and we will probably come back.
