Bach Suite 22, established in 2012 by Hester Handt and her husband Hans, is a sleek and spacious self-catering unit nestled in a quiet slice at the heart of Jo’burg’s bustling East, welcoming guests with a taste of modern South African living.

Be it for pleasure or purpose, Bach Suite 22 offers its patrons all of the tools needed to create the perfect little “travel abode“. The open plan living area... has all the amenities of a modern apartment, with a fully equipped and spacious kitchen and dining area, perfect for creating that home away from home-like atmosphere. For those moments when you want to sit back and relax, we have our lounge area with LCD satellite-enabled television, sleeper couch and doors which open out onto the private garden and pool, which boasts barbequing/braai facilities and an outdoor shower. The spacious and luxurious double bedroom boasts two ¾ beds, which can be combined to create a king size area of slumber, ample closet space and dressing area and the bathroom is equipped with a shower and bath to fit your every requirement.

Got an itching for a little extra entertainment? Why not spend some time soaking up some of the local culture at one of South Africa’s many legendary heritage sites located nearby or tempt your palette at one of the city’s many culinary establishments? Visit the Sterkfontein Caves at the Cradle of Humankind where you will also find the Maropeng Visitor Centre which offers a unique interactive view at the birth of humankind. Experience South Africa’s breathtaking scenery and view game by taking a Safari Flight in a Hot Air Balloon. Understand South Africa’s present by revisiting the past at Jo’burg’s Apartheid Museum or take a tour to Soweto, a true South African Heritage site. Bach Suite 22 is a modern, very spacious self-catering cottage located in Buurendal, Edenvale with its own private garden and pool. The neighborhood is very quiet and a boom enclosed area. Utilising a vehicle throughout the duration of your stay? Well, don’t stress about secure parking, because we have you covered with our electric remote operated gate and indoor driveway to keep you and it safe. We are only 7km away from O R Tambo International airport and the Gautrain station. If you are in need of transport, there are many airport shuttle services, taxi services and car rental agencies available. We have easy access to main routes, major shopping centres and restaurants. Bach Suite 22 offers you cost effective and comfortable corporate accommodation as well as excellent accommodation for tourists.

  We spent a very pleasant and comfortable week at this well-appointed
  and beautifully-furnished self-catering cottage in august and again in October 2012. Our hosts, Hester and Hans Handt, were very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Whenever we visit Johannesburg we will return to our new home away from home.
