Los Angeles, CaliforniaOff the matrix. Ahhh!!!

We stayed at Villa Rocosa - a wonderful home with a hot tub, hammock and plenty of privacy. Frederik was beyond accommodating during the reservation process and checking in and out of the property was a breeze. This is a great place to go to get away from it all and to just be. Reading in the hammock by day ... star gazing from the hot tub at night. Super peaceful, private and relaxing. I'll be coming back!!!

A fabulous architectural house, incorporating a rock formation into one of the walls. Lots of privacy, a great hot tub, amazing views and did I mention the privacy. A full kitchen so there's no reason to leave your escape.

We really liked the setting, the jacuzzi, and the ease of renting this lovely place overlooking Joshua Tree, the town and it is close to the Park so we went a few times.
The cabin is very clean and well appointed, i.e. comfortable. The kitchen is well equiped except for the knives. Bring your own if you plan to cut anything harder than a hard boiled egg.
Our one year old granddaughter was very entertained by the flock of birds at the feeders. However, too many spikey plants are hazardous for little people walking about.Response from Frederick Fulmer - 03/13/2012

luna mesa was perfect for a week-long stay at joshua tree. it's very close to the park -- great for getting into the park early for a hike or rock climbing. the accommodations were great -- funky post-modern furniture, great outdoor space (2 decks and a hot tub) and a bbq for grilling. overall it's very inviting and you definitely feel motivated to relax. it also had a spectacular view of the joshua tree highlands.
I loved that luna mesa was dog-friendly -- our dachshund was able to tag along for the trip too.
we will definitely return on future trips! -

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The place is stylish, yet not stuffy and the jacuzzi is the BEST! We will definitely be back. This place is well managed too.

From the moment that we drove up the dirt track and arrived, checking out the
spotlessly clean house and the more than relaxing garden/hot tub, to when we
bid a sad farewell 2 days later, we knew that this was somewhere that we
would be coming back to.
The accommodation was simple yet gorgeous leaving you wanting nothing
more. With the Joshua Tree National Park on your doorstep one could not fail
to be impressed.
Truly a great place to escape to.
