      Beautiful condo, beautiful beach

      The condo 2-37, Tower 5 in MarbellaTowers, Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath with all amenities, including free internet. Everything was clean and just like the pictures. My husband, adult daughter, and I stayed 5 days there and give it only 4 stars due to all the confusion. When we arrived, no one knew anything. The manager we were supposed to meet wasn't there due to some personal issues, but eventually his representative arrived. At first, we were given a key that did not open the condo by someone in the "real reception" in tower 4. Once the representative arrived, we were given a code, which was more secure and could actually open the door. This was convenient since you didn't have to carry a key. When trying to obtain the internet code, we were given an incorrect number but eventually that was solved. I think the most annoying aspect was the restaurant on site because one never knew when it would be open. You could call and someone would say it's open, you'd go down and it was closed. I understand that the condos are owned individually but no one in reception really knew anything about anything.
      On the plus side, Bernie Sierra, the manager, tried very hard to correct any problems and was very kind and helpful. One issue we did not have with SeaLane in Cabarete, is that they did not accept payment by credit card but only by bank transfer and then we had to give $500 cash at arrival (security deposit). There were some reasons as to why they couldn't work with credit cards, but Cabarete could, so I'm not sure, but it was certainly inconvenient for us.
      Security was good and the beach and grounds were clean and absolutely beautiful with lots of seating. Behind the complex there were many little shops and restaurants and everyone delivered. My daughter tried to go snorkeling but no one there could help and she went to the Barcelo Capella (very close) but didn't have what she wanted.
      This is a very quiet place, geared for families with children. My daughter was a little bored but it was alright for me (I'm 62). Nearby was the town of Boca Chica and we went to Boca Marina restaurant (awesome, right on the water and everything delicious) and to the Club Nautico with friends(private place).
