      You willl not be disappointed.

Left on 12/18/2012 for a stay in November 2012

My wife and I stayed for 7 days over the Thanksgiving holiday. Had a great time. The home is very comfortable, you will feel "at home" from the moment you step inside. The patio deck is great, and it and an adjacent yard are fully fenced, convenient and safe if you bring your pet, as we did. The nearby town of Julian is a wonderful place to visit, many shops and restaurants. We even attended the local Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, had a great time. Don't forget to drive the few miles "down the hill" to Dudley's Bakery in Santa Ysabel. Hands down the best breads you will ever taste. All in all, an extremely pleasant experience, one which we hope to do again. Thanks, Mary, for your hospitality.

      Family Fun!!

Left on 06/19/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We had a wonderful time with our five grandchildren ages 7 to 12 at Lilac acres. The house is very comfortable and easy to live in...the big hit with the kids was the Foosball Table!!! The huge climbing tree and tire swing were also a favorite. The deck was a great place to bird watch and BBQ. I would recommend this lovely house to couples and families we are sure to go back!!!
While you are in Julian if you have children don't miss the Smith Ranch

A wonderful get-a-way in the mountains!

Left on 03/11/2012 for a stay in September 2011

Our family stayed at 2 Lilac acres Guest House for a long weekend. It was warm and inviting place to stay and we plan on returning for another visit. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful patio area in the evenings. As a bonus, this Guest House is close enough to the town of Julian to be able to make quick trips for "Mom's apply Pie!"

We had the time of our lives!

Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We absolutely loved this house. Everything was modern and super clean. The beds were super cozy. The master bedroom bathtub was huge! The grounds were fun for the kids to explore. The foosball table was great entertainment for the kids along with the all the movies, books and games. My sister-in-law, 2 nieces, my daughter and I had plenty of room in this house. Loved the pellet stove too. We just loved everything about it! Thank you so much Mary. We really did not want to leave:)

Cozy & Quiet at a Great Price

Left on 11/11/2011 for a stay in October 2011

I looove this place! Every year for the past 3 years or so, me and a group of gals from our church all get to away to this beautiful home for a cozy, quiet relaxing retreat! We love it. We have had retreats at other places but have been stuck on this one, cause it is just so wonderful and by far the best cost, for a the best quality. We love it and look forward to our stay every year.

Some of the favorite things about the Home, is the huge bath tub in the master bedroom, also there is always lots of great movies and books. So thankful and grateful for this sweet getaway!

I have stayed at this place 4 times now. I am not really one to write reviews as I never know what to say - but I think returning four times speaks for itself.

Felt Like Our Home away From Home In The Mountains

Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in July 2010

This was the second time we stayed at 2 Lilac acres. We loved it that much the first time we went. Julian is a beautiful town that makes you step back in time and this rental is just minutes away from everything Julian has to offer.

Not only is this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home conveniently located, the home itself is nestled in a picturesque, private mountain location. The owner takes great care and pride and spares nothing in making sure your stay there is a memorable one.

From the furniture, bathroom and kitchen utensils, to the decorations and beautiful "nick nacks" in the home, the owner has thought of just about everything.

We'd spend our days in the historic town of Julian, take leisurely hikes, or (for the more adventurous), take a more strenuous hike to Cedar Creek Falls, eat at the local restaurants...you name it. Then, when we were done for the day, we could relax in our home away from home, lounging on the huge wooden deck surrounded by trees, spend some quality "family time" playing board games (provided by the owner), or watch movies at night (also provided by the owner), while sipping on a cup of hot chocolate and snacks.

We'll be planning another weekend getaway soon, and 2 Lilac acres is where we'll be staying again without a doubt. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone thinking of spending a few days or a week in Julian.
