Chez Pomme (Apple House) is a charming French Victorian style home on two level, fully-gated acres. This three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home has been newly renovated for your next vacation.

Enjoy an espresso or glass of wine while relaxing in a rocking chair or glider on the spacious covered porch. Relax in front of the wood-burning stone fireplace in the living room, or settle in by the lovely Mahogany fireplace in the master bedroom retreat.

Your well-behaved dogs will love exploring the two fenced acres, while the kids can play Foosball, basketball or... climb the rock-wall in the oversized barn.

The large cook's kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience. Enjoy dining under the stars at the outdoor Pavilion or a romantic meal in the formal dining room. After dinner, jump in the spa then enjoy Smore's in front of a crackling fire in the Chiminea.

There are three bedrooms, all featuring premium mattresses and ceiling fans.

The Garden Room is decorated with bright florals and features chic vintage painted furniture, a vanity, beautiful treetop views, and a comfy double bed.

The Sled Room is decorated Americana style and has an antique, hand-carved Pineapple poster double pillow-top bed, a hand-painted Americana chair, a beautiful mahogany dresser, a hand-painted side table and a vintage sled. It has a walk-in closet.

These two rooms are adjacent to a large, sunny bathroom with a clawfoot tub that is perfect for bubble baths.

The romantic Master bedroom has a queen-size canopy bed, large bay windows, chair rails, a seating area with a mahogany fireplace, a gorgeous walnut armoire, hand-painted side tables, custom balloon valances with blackout shades and a dressing area and bathroom. There is a large 32' HD flat-screen TV that can be viewed from the bed or the sitting area.

Downstairs, the dining room has large bay windows with French lace curtains, an LED fireplace, a French chandelier, a large Cherry hutch, original artwork and a hand-painted red dining room table and chairs. A bench provides for additional seating, up to six people.

The great room has a large wood-burning stone fireplace, a Bose CD player, an iPhone/iPod stand with speakers, a large 47' flatscreen HD TV, and a DVD player.

There is a large DVD library, books and games, stuffed toys for your dog, and a Bocce ball set to play with in the meadow.

There is high-speed internet and a premium HBO package for your viewing enjoyment. There is also an antique rolltop desk for reading or emails.

A sunny breakfast table with seating for four is also in this room. There is a bistro table for two on the veranda outside the kitchen for additional seating.

Outside, enjoy the beauty and privacy of the tree-filled grounds. The large private grounds are shaded by over 300 oak and almost 100 manzanita trees. Winter can bring deep snow, Spring ushers in the daffodils, Summer has fragrant climbing roses twining around the veranda, and Fall with its beautiful colors is a special delight.

Scrub jays are constant visitors, especially when the feeder is filled with their favorite treat, peanuts in the shell. A two-person glider and white rocking chairs on the large wrap-around front porch are comfy spots to rest and read.

In the back of the house, Adirondack chairs on a ledge-rock raised patio are a comfortable place to stargaze by the Chiminea. A gas grill outside is ready for your next cookout. An 8-person Jacuzzi spa is also on this patio. Heaven!

The large barn can accommodate a 32-foot RV, and also has a bunk room for the younger visitors to hang out. The barn has a basketball hoop, a rock-climbing wall and a Foosball table.

Julian is an historic gold mining town located approximately one hour from San Diego, California. Enjoy some of our famous apple pie, tour a winery or a goldmine, visit a casino or a wolf conservation center. There is also fine dining, boating, fishing, hiking and horseback riding in the immediate vicinity.

  I have had the pleasure of staying at Chez Pomme twice. Once in the winter, and again in the spring. Winter was postcard perfect, we had a fire in the massive fireplace, with snow falling outside. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi with snow all around, it was just heaven.
  Spring has it's own beauty, the trees are all blooming. Daffodils are blooming on the property and blanket all of Julian. Great place to take long walks. It is also a great place to share with family and friends, including your pet's. The property is fully fenced and very secure.
  I was amazed when I first saw the property. It is so beautifully decorated, it could be in a magazine. It has every amemity you could ever desire.
  It is located about a two minute drive to the charming town of Julian. There are several great restaurants, cute shops, and wineries with good wine and tasting rooms. You can take a tour of the town in a horse drawn carriage. A lot to do if you can make yourself leave this wonderful place. It is so peaceful to just sit on the porch or the patio and enjoy just being there.
  We can't recommend this place enough. The owner's are so easy to work with and make the whole experience a delight. We are already trying to plan another trip to Julian and the beautiful Chez Pomme.

  This home was as cozy as a cabin while being big enough to comfortably fit our family of five, plus two dogs. The property is large and the kids/dogs enjoyed playing outside and in the barn. There is enough space and activities on the property for everyone to do their own thing but we ended up spending a lot of time just relaxing in front of the fireplace. Overall we loved the house, and Julian (especially the wolf sanctuary). I would definitely stay here again.

  Great House in Julian

  We had a great weekend visit to this house in Julian. The property is large, beautiful and completely fenced in. Our dog enjoyed exploring the grounds while we relaxed outside. The. House is clean, well cared for and is well equipped. The house is close enough to town but also very private. I would definitely stay here again.

  This house is exactly like the pictures. It is charming and cute. Huge fenced in yard was great. Hot tub was super clean and awesome. The owners were very friendly and communicative. If this place looks good, go for it, you will not be disappointed.
