1) Additional amenities available free-of-charge include wireless high speed internet and local and long distance calls to the US Mainland and Canada.
2) There is a one-time cleaning fee of $190.00 including taxes, and if you need a mid-stay cleaning then that is billed at $40.00/hour with a 1 hour minimum.
3) There is a parking fee of $10.00 per day, per vehicle that is paid to the Honua Kai Resort front desk upon check-in.
4) There are Hawaii state taxes of 13.42% (4.1666% GET & 9.25% TAT) on the nightly rate.

  This condo is exactly as described and pictured, no surprises here. It had everything we needed for a week on Maui, and the resort amenities and location in Ka'anapali couldn't have been better. The only things I wished for was a little more couch space for 2 to get comfortable, and a blanket for the living area. It gets a little chilly at night in November! But frankly we weren't watching TV much, as there is so much to see and do in Maui.
  Unit 816 is on the quiet side of the condo tower, and overlooks a vacant construction site. I would make sure before booking that construction hasn't started again, but it sounded like that wouldn't be happening for a while. Great if you don't want to overlook the pool area, which gets loud, or the parking lot. Nice ocean and mountain views from the large lanai.

  Breezes and Beauty Inside and Out

  It was very important to us that the place we stayed was comfortable, safe and beautiful. This was our family's first trip to Hawaii, and we were hoping to make it a dream come true to celebrate with our teen daughters. Our time in suite #816 at Honua Kai Hokulani surpassed our expectations. The suite was tastefully furnished and decorated, which is always a big hit with my daughters and I. Staying in a suite that has all the amenities, and provides a lovely surroundings puts you in the mood to vacation and shed the worries of everyday life.
  
  The "lanai" or balcony off the suite had a beautiful view in either direction. We spotted magical rainbows over mountains and beautiful vignettes of sailboats on the jewel blue ocean. We enjoyed many meals and martinis in blissful breezes on the balcony.
  The overall grounds of the resort were extremely well maintained, and equally beautiful. Gorgeous floral arrangements adorned the small seating settings throughout the grand lobby. To catch the beautiful tropical breezes, we also used the common picturesque patio( beside a pond full of coy fish). The patio led to paths(truly tropical) that surrounded the collection of pools and hot tubs. Whether soaking up the sun during the day, or saying good bye to the sun at early evening, there was always a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the sights right from the resort grounds.
  We also made use of the beach, which is literally just a small pathway from the pool area. Snorkeling from this beach was a family favorite. Our daughters spent a lot of time honing their photography skills on this beach trying to capture the beauty of the ocean, and sunsets.( boogie board, snorkeling stuff, & beach chairs available in suite!)
  Our time in Maui was magical, and we feel our choice to stay at Honua Kai( suite # 816) provided us with the type of vacation surroundings that made the most of every moment in paradise.
