This gorgeous fifth floor suite has a large wrap around lanai and direct ocean views from the front bedroom, living room and dining table as well as direct ocean views from the kitchen and the lanai. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this suite has 1325 square feet of interior space along with a 315 square foot lanai that wraps around the entire living area. Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I booked this room for my family (husband, parents, grandparent) for our Maui vacation for 6 days. There were 5 of us staying in this 2-bedroom condo. Our party arrived at different times (different flights), but Brooke was so helpful and nice in meeting us, even though our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive to the condo until almost midnight.
I've booked many rooms (condos and hotels) online before, and I found that many times, the photos are much more attractive than the actual place. This is not the case for Honua Kai - Konea 513! The pictures show exactly how beautiful, spacious, and clean this suite is.
Summary of what I loved about this condo:
- The two beds and the sofabed were all very comfortable.
- The view is spectacular!!! Having the L-shaped balcony is, hands-down, the best part.
- All the appliances are new with a well-stocked kitchen.
- Very clean.
- Big clean bathrooms. Very luxurious!
- The resort itself is amazing (we made sure to make sure of its facilities).
- Free long distance across North america was an unexpected bonus for us.
- Free wifi with a strong connection.
Suggestions/heads-up:
- We tried to eat breakfast on the balcony everyday. Be careful not to leave your food unattended or the birds will come to eat it!
- By our 5th day, we noticed tiny ants in the kitchen. I had read that Hawaii has ant problems, but didn't expect it here since the place is so new and clean. Not a big deal, but we just watched our step while in the kitchen. If the manager could leave some Raid in the kitchen for such events, that would be a plus.
When I go back to Maui, I will definitely be visiting Honua Kai again!
