Description from the owner
This FAMILY FRIENDLY CONDO is the perfect spot for a memorable Maui vacation. Spread out on the extra-large lanai, enjoying expansive ocean views and catch a rainbow over the West Maui Mountains too. (Our past guests say they enjoyed meals daily on the large lanai.) The condo is also larger than most at Honua Kai with two bedrooms and two master baths, making it is great for two couples traveling together too.

The place was like new, everything as advertised, this is the best deal in Maui, I looked!
Monty, the onsite mgr, was great, met us at the front door, took care of everything, great recommendations for the local area, the resort was terrific, great pool and beach and restaurants, use Tellys grocery for everything, across the street. 5 minutes to Kapalua or 5 minutes to downtown Lahaina.
Stacey with mauiblueprpoerties.com was fabulous, great deal and ease of reservations. We will be back! -

It was a pleasure doing business with this company from the first contact, to booking the unit, being provided with the necessary information, arriving, having questions answered while there, etc. The condo was beautifully decorated, in excellent condition, spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. The lanai was huge and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to open it to feel like we were outdoors even while inside. The only minor inconvenience was that the clothes dryer did not function properly. There were ocean and mountain views from the lanai but the most direct view was not as special. The resort itself was wonderful with numerous beautiful pools and hottubs, the ocean only steps away, and a nice bar and restaurant. This was an ideal place to stay with our family of 6, including young adult and teenage children.

We absolutely loved our stay at Huna Kai Unit 320. It was perfect for us - two couples with two babies (2 year old and 2 month). The hotel property was perfect for the kids - from feeding the fish every morning to the multiple kid-friendly pools. The condo had everything we needed to entertain the kids as well as cook. Highly recommend this resort and this room in particular!

I have to say, that when I first saw this listing and the pics, I was a little suspicious. It just seemed too good to be true. The place is practically brand new, all modern and super comfortable. I was so pleased when we check in and saw that the pictures didn't even do it justice. It was even nicer, more spacious and comfortably furnished then expected.
It comes with everything you need, and whatever you are missing can be purchased at the local market less then a half a mile away, or at the amazing Farmers market store about a mile down the road.
The resort itself is truly a gem. Its beautifully landscaped, on a great stretch of beach. The Dukes restaurant has amazing healthy meals, that won't break the bank. And if you want a quick Latte or gourmet cheese and wine, there's the aina market right in the lobby (the guy that owns it used to run Whole Foods markets, so you can be sure you'll find incredible treats.
The proximity to other places was great... a bit of a walk to Whaler's village, and a 5 minute drive to Lahaina.
Both nice to have near, but trust me, way better to actually stay away from all the flocks of people.
We walked by some of the other resorts around, and the pools were packed with people sitting on top of each other, and children running around (love children, but its always nice to have a little peace and quiet and some personal space). That is what we got at Honua Kai. Ample pool side seating, with umbrellas... available all through the day.
No loud music, just the sound of the ocean nearby. There's a second pool with a waterfall and slide where the kids liked to play.
Once there, I highly recommend trying stand up paddleboarding (they rent them at the Westin just down the road), and dinner at Merriman's in Napili Bay - you won't be sorry! -

Wonderful 3rd floor property. Well furnished and maintained. Gorgeous lanai to view the outdoors. View is partial mountain and partial ocean view in the distance. Owners and property manager very helpful through entire booking and stay process. Aina Market at entry level of resort is stocked with many healthy options. The workers are friendly and accommodating. Duke's Restaurant on the property is incredible. Dine in or out...menus vary slightly. If you are a seafood fan try the risotto and the lobster coconut soup. The mango ribs and the chicken with pork stuffing are great too. Check in with the concierge team. They helped us book a luau, boat ride and gave us island tips about where to snorkel and hike. The pools are varied in what they offer. They are well maintained. Take your own beach towels from the condo room. The resort only loans towels to guests that book through the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Vancouver, CanadaWe had a great first family vacation!
Left on 08/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Our first daughter was just over 6 months when we took our first family vacation - our first time to Maui and our first time staying at HK via Maui Blue Properties. MauiBlue ensured that we had all of our needs met, including a space for our daughter to sleep. The property was just as they described it - absolutely beautiful. The local contact was really helpful and told us the things that needed to know - the stuff that isn't necessarily written down in a binder. As well, when we discovered that the BBQ utensils were missing, we called in the morning, then went to the pool. When we came back, a brand-new set of utensils was sitting at our door - you can't ask for anything better than that. We had an amazing first family vacation, and we have the hundreds of pictures to prove it! We recommend HK and MauiBlue to all of our friends!

HoustonWhen can I come again?
Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011
All of our expectations were met at this Honua Kai property. The very clean and well stocked unit was plenty large for our family (with three college aged children) to spread out, be together, or have privacy. The large lanai was a lovely place for our family meals, morning reading, etc. Working out trip details with Stacey went smoothly, and being greeted by Monty made our arrival both fun and easy. The Honua Kai is the only place we've ever stayed that combines the convenience of a large condominum with the luxury of resort facilities. The pools, hot tubs, market, restaurant and overall location made for a convenient, relaxing, fun week. We reccommend daily walks or runs on the boardwalk followed by an ocean swim to start your day. We also made frequent walks to the farmer's market, health food store and coffee shops; rented mopeds across the street; hiked and golfed at Kapalua; snorkeled Honolua Bay and Black Rock; and swam with the huge turtles in the cove just south of Napili Bay. Ready to go back!

Brookline, MA, USAGreat condo and resort
Left on 04/28/2011 for a stay in April 2011
This is a very nice, clean, upscale-style condo in a fairly new resort. It has a modern kitchen with everything we needed for appliances and accessories, including a blender, cocktail shaker, and martini and wine glasses for your entertaining pleasure :-) It has a nice open layout, and the lanai was great. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable, and the master bedroom has a separate thermostat zone. The washer and dryer were convenient and allowed us to pack more lightly.
Besides the usual stuff to be expected, some nice extras provided with the condo were 2 boogie boards, a cooler for the beach or day trips, 2 nice quality beach chairs, and beach towels.
The resort has several pools to choose from, a kids club, a small breakfast/lunch gourmet-style cafe, and an outside restaurant near the beach (always busy, took us a few days to get a reservation at a convenient time). -

Seattle, WALovely condo in beautiful location
Left on 04/25/2011 for a stay in March 2011
My husband and I stayed here with my 70-something parents for 7 nights in March. The condo was comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The listing was accurate about the view and location - we saw whales a couple of times from the lanai. No ocean view from inside the condo, but it was a great excuse to get outside, especially when your travel companions have the big and hypnotizing television on.. Photos of the condo were also accurate, and all amenities were present, except for hand soap - a quick call to Monty, the pleasant and helpful manager remedied that quickly. Stacey and Bob from Maui Blue Properties were also very helpful, as well as prompt with responses and return of the damage deposit cheque. The grounds of the resort were very pleasant and the beach beautiful. The trade winds were a bit stronger than we'd have liked, but nobody can do anything about that. :)

Left on 04/15/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Our family had a great time. The accommodations were clean, updated and comfortable...big screen tv's, large bathtubs, beach toys and all the amenities of the resort. Our kids loved the 3 pools. We saw whales jumping from our patio view. We would definitely stay here again.

Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Beautiful, very clean, extremely comfortable condo, the resort is great with the 3 pools, everything you need. Snorkeling outside your door. Only disappointment is that there is no where to Boogie Board and with teenage boys, we did end up driving to DT Fleming beach daily, but not a big deal. Definitely would recommend this resort and condo.
