We would stay here if we had the opportunity again. Location is great! View of the ocean and main pool..you can hear the ocean falling asleep and then wake to it! One should know, b/c private rental - you don't get usage to all amenities, no schedule of resort events. Also we had to ask for our midstay cleaning to be done.(for 2 week stay)

We were extremely pleased with our rental of unit 259 at the Shores. Reasons include:
1. Great location on the island. Near Lahaina and on a beach, which is hard to find on this side of the island.
2. Beach front unit in the complex, overlooking pool was simply the best spot available. I cant's imagine a better spot within Kaanapali Shores
3. Unit was well appointed and clean. Had all the conveniences you would expect and more. Everything from beach floats to a cooler we could use for our daily excursions.
4. Access to the resort dining room and bar. We didn't use it often, but it was nice when we did.
On the down side, I did not like a daily parking fee or the quality of the internet connection. Neither of which were going to disrupt a fabulous family vacation! If we went back to Hawaii, we'd stay in this complex and unit again in a heartbeat!
