We took our grown children and spouses to Hawaii for a family vacation. We have a time share but it was not big enough to accomodate 7 adults comfortably so we looked around the last time we were there. We found the Honua Kai and condo 201. It is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath with a fold out sofa in the living area, large balcony patio with kitchen. In other words lots of space. We booked it through Ka'anapali Beach rentals. We had a few minor problems but nothing that would stop us from booking again. We had a leaky toilet and a bedroom door handle that fell off. We called and they sent someone to repair things, but they never quite got repaired. Only problems we had.
Kitchen was large and well stocked with cookware, dishes and utensiles. Beach towels, mats, noodles and beach chairs, laundry detergent, internet were all supplied. We had a wonderful trip and would definately recommend this condo to anyone wanting to be on the beach. -

total bliss
it's our last day here at honua kai hokulani unit 201, and we are in a state of total bliss, encouraged and enabled by the wonderful air, surroundings, and truly great accommodations of this unit.
201 is worth every penny we spent on it - and then some! all information provided in the description is correct, and the folks from the management firm are right on top of everything as needed. but the real thing to know is that words cannot convey the feeling of space, peace and comfort one experiences while here.
the beach is one of the best on the planet. the water temp and sand temp is perfect for walking and jumping in as desired. there's a beautiful grove of trees along parts of the beach providing shade if desired. the drop-off into the water is just right - not too deep, not too shallow.
we particularly enjoyed the large outdoor lanai, grilling fish, maui onions, and combining it with great salads. live music from duke's gently accompanies every dinner, and the big doors on two sides of the unit opening on to the lanai make for a grand indoor-outdoor feeling. don't worry about the aC - just keep it off and let the island breeze permeate your indoor space!
a special thanks to the riley's for letting us rent their unit. it was a privilege we truly enjoyed. the only real problem you'll encounter here is having to pack up again and leave :-)
