Response from the manager Aloha Ruth; Sorry you felt our service was not up to par on your visit. We pride ourselves in our customer service and take all criticism seriously. We fully stock all of our condos with all necessary amenities for the length of the guests stay. Since you arrived early at the resort and we checked you in early, the condo was not completely ready for your arrival. We brought the missing items as quickly as we could to be sure your rental home was completely ready for your stay. As for the missing hair dryer, I don't know who would have told you we only supply one as each bathroom has its own. Again, with the early check in we did not realize one was missing and we brought a brand new hair dryer as soon as we were informed. We apologize for the mixup with the extended stay. It was one of those things that "slipped through the cracks." When Barb called to see how your stay went, she had not checked the updated calendar (totally my fault) and didn't realize you had extended for two days. As for the low light in the bathroom, perhaps you did not realize the bathroom lights are on a dimmer switch. I wish you would have let me know during your stay and I could have helped you "lighten the mood!" Honua kai has recently replaced all room locks with RFD locks that are programmed for each individual stay. The Honua kai staff are still in the learning curve as to programming and from time to time a key is coded incorrectly and expires early or does not work at all. Sorry this happened to you. We are glad your overall stay was a good one in our condo and hope to see you back again soon. Mahalo for your review and your critique.
