My husband and I spent 10 days at the Valley Isle Resort in room 606, a Studio. We enjoyed the accommodations very much. The condo was nicely decorated, the Murphy bed was comfortable, and although we didn't choose to cook our meals (other than using the toaster for morning bagels), the kitchen was fully stocked. It even had a coffee grinder and French Press, which we did enjoy using. We found the pictures, advertisements and positive reviews on the condo, facilities and owners to be accurate. We were not disappointed in any way. The complex is still affected by a fire that happened last fall at the fitness center next door, (apparently the repairs are on Hawaii time!) which caused some openings/breezeways on the back side of the building to be boarded up, (you can read details/updates on the Valley Isle Resort website) which makes the hallways somewhat dark and causes a real "howling" in the hallways on windy days, but once you step into the condo itself, you quickly forget about it. We had no dealings other than getting our parking pass with the front office staff so can't comment on them, however staff we saw around doing yard work, taking out trash, etc we all very friendly and courteous. The grounds are well cared for and tidy. The grills were cleaned every morning and pool area spotless. Besides the lounge chairs at the pool area, there are lounge chairs on the beach in front of the resort. Room 606 has three portable beach chairs, sand-mats, a beach umbrella and a cooler which were all nice to have for our days on the various beaches we visited. There are lots of books available to read should you choose also. This was our second trip to Maui in less than two year. We loved the Kahana area last time, so knew we wanted to stay in this area again. We found this condo at VIR cost less and was nicer than where we stayed last time, so we definitely recommend it and will stay here again. The owners are organized, very accessible, and communicate well.

The rental experience was very easy. The condo was very adequately furnished and equipped. The location is wonderful because it is close to shops & restaurants. The beach access is terrific & used each day by us! Because of the "boarded up areas", the air circulation was not as good as usual. (but know this will be corrected soon). Look forward to another trip to the Valley Isle!

unit 606 has been remodeled and is very lovely with the granite counter tops, all new kitchen and great tiled shower. The view from the lanai is wonderful, spent many mornings and evenings on the lanai having coffee and drinks watching the sunsets, turtles and beach goers. The only thing that I would change is the bed, it was a little low to the ground, my husband has a bad back so it made it a little hard for him to get up. Other than that is was a wonderful stay. The ocean view is great and we saw so many beautiful rainbows from the lanai.

My husband and I are just back from a much needed vacation and were lucky enough to get this sweetly located condo on the west side of Maui, just north of Ka'anapali. Being on the 6th floor - ocean-side - we enjoyed panoramic views and spectacular, colorful sunsets right from the privacy of our lanai. Perfect size for a couple, the retractable Murphy bed transitions the room seamlessly from day to nighttime use. In addition to the new gas grills down by the pool area, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, so we saved a lot on food expenses. There are also many good restaurants and cafes (some walking distance) in both directions (north and south) when we felt like going out. (Best sushi ever at Sensei in Kapalua, a short drive north, BTW - but be sure to make reservations or you'll likely have to wait.)
Best vacation we've had in years. I miss the sound of the surf serenading me to sleep every night. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this condo as part of our first trip to the Hawaiian islands. We chose it because it seemed to provide everything we needed: an oceanfront room with a great view, a comfortable room with a small kitchen, and a reasonable price. We are not the types to spend our precious days in Maui sitting around a swimming pool, so the fact that VIR has only a small pool was fine -- we never used it. If you want a luxury resort, go south to the big Sheraton in Kaanapali.
This condo is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for your stay such as bath and beach towels, and start up toiletries. A big grocery store is only 2 miles south, so we stocked up on our breakfast and snack needs, but ate the rest of our meals out. The kitchen was equipped with what you need if you choose to eat in, though, and also has a nice bank of community gas grills by the pool. I'm sure we would have used them if we stayed longer.
There is a laundry room on the third floor with coin operated machines, and the condo provides a laundry basket to make things easier. Easy is the word for staying here: the owners sent the key in the mail before our trip, the resort had everything we needed to get out and enjoy Maui, and there were no hassles anywhere.
For snorkel equipment, just walk right across the street to Boss Frog's dive shop. The guys working there are awesome, and they practically give away their great quality equipment. There are plenty of fantastic snorkel sites within minutes of the condo. We could spend a lot of time here and never get bored!
We'll return soon, and definitely stay again at this condo! -

We stayed at Valley Isle Resort, Unit 606 between March 4-22, 2012 and felt like we were at home as soon as we opened the door. Kahana is a beautiful area and the beach was wonderful- not crowded - which was a bonus. We certainly recommend this greatly equipped condo and it is ideal for 2 people. Just remember to hold onto your hat as it is fairly windy in this area.

Top notch renovation. Quiet and serene unit that's perfect for two. Free WiFi, comfortable bed, and listened to the waves as we went to sleep. The trade winds kept the condo cool without the need for a/C. We watched the whales from the balcony and even saw sea turtles in the surf. The condo complex is very nicely maintained and is a short drive to action in Lahaina, Kaanapali, or Kapalua. Definitely would rent again from Partners in Paradise!

Valley Isle Resort Studio Condo 606 had everything we needed to help make our vacation to Maui perfect. The first thing we saw when we walked in the door was the view. We were absolutely beach front and I ask you this, why go to Maui and stay anywhere that isn't on the beach? The resort is located just minutes from Kaanapali and Lahaina which made it very convenient to shopping, dining and water activities. The studio condo is spacious and very well equipped. The Murphy bed was so comfortable and easy to put out of the way in the morning and bring back out at night. We slept with the lanai door open to catch the breeze and enjoy the soothing sounds of the surf. And boy, did we enjoy that lanai. Other than the shower and the Murphy bed, the lanai was the part of the condo we used the most. We would often find each other out there at times during the night watching the moon set over the ocean or star gazing or simply enjoying being in Maui. The perfect spot for morning coffee or wine in the evening.
The resort itself is extremely clean and well maintained. The ladies at the front desk are welcoming, friendly and always ready to answer your questions. The pool is sparkling and the gas grills convenient and clean.
I could go on and on but the bottom line is...we will go back...hopefully again and again. Why stay anywhere else? -

You have a beautiful condo. We have stayed at VIR many times but your condo was by far the best. You have paid attention to so many details like cushions on the lanai furniture, great pots and pans, and the most quiet dishwasher in the world! Loved that shower also. There were no beach chairs but we were able to borrow some from the front desk. Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your part of paradise. We will certainly come back again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the decor of the condo. The view was amazing and we spent every morning and evening out on the lanai. The location is not too far from Old Lahaina and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Weather was beautiful, everyone was friendly and helpful and we definitely want to return to the Valley Isle to stay!

Nine years ago, my husband and I stay in this beautiful condo. We would go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean and the whispering palm trees. The patio is perfect for a romantic candle lit dinner for two. Actually, my husband could not get me to dine out in a restaurant, "our" views were better than those of any restaurant. We are planning a return trip, and we will not wait another 9 years. The updates in the kitchen (with granite counters) and bathroom are beautiful. This place is perfect, not to mention the courtesy of the owners. This is "our" place for a few days in Paradise.

My wife and I came to Maui to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Friends of ours who stayed here in 2009 highly recommended both the property and Gary and Geri. We had a delightful time. The view from the lanai was outstanding. We ate out there all week and enjoyed watching the whales and especially the beautiful sunsets! The property was perfect for the two of us. We would definitely consider coming back in the future!

If you are wondering whether to choose this condo, the answer is yes! A beautiful, convenient spot, close to all the activities, but still private and quiet. A gorgeous beach for morning and evening strolls. Excellent whale watching from the balcony, and just pop down to the beach to see plenty of sea turtles. The condo is lovely, clean, and has everything you could possibly need. A beautiful, well-stocked kitchen, and a nice, firm mattress on the bed. Fabulous shower! Good parking, and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, including a wonderful farmer's market with lots of organic produce. We can't wait to go back to Maui and this condo will definitely be our first choice of places to stay! We can't say enough about it - highly recommended!

Our entire month at VI #606 was absolutely great. The condo is lovely and well furnished. We had all the comforts of home. Needless to say the weather furnished us with 26 days of sunshine. We have stayed at Valley Isle several times and this ranks right near the top.
We saw much whale activity right from the Lanai, and the Giant Sea Turtles played near the shoreline every day. The proximity to grocery stores and other shopping (if needed) is ideal. The local farmers market is within walking distance.
All in all I would say our vacation was terrific. What's not to love about Maui? Gathering on the beach for sunset was a perfect was to end each day. Since we have been to Maui many times we did not
do much sightseeing this year. This was our time to relax and soak up the sun. There are many activities near by. We ate at the Gazebo, and the Plantation Golf course. The snorkeling at Napilii Bay is outstanding and watching the wind surfers at Paia is a geat pastime.
I would say you can't go wrong. -

We needed a place in Kahana at the last minute. Luckily, my parents had stayed at Valley Isle on a couple of occasions over the last several years and they mentioned it to me. When I checked the website, I found Gary & Geri's unit #606 was available and the price was terrific. Frankly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the condo was way beyond my expectations. The balcony is unbelievable, the kitchen and bathroom are very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the unit is perfect all around for two people.
We did some cooking and the Weber grills by the pool were brand new and incredible. The pool is a little on the small side and there is no hot tub, but the location is close to several nice beaches and the Sands of Kahana right next door has a decent restaurant and a nice pool/beach area.
All in all a very memorable place to stay. I'm just sorry it's so far from Boston! -

Comfy convinient studio unit. The view is up front and beautiful. A great place to watch the giant turtles swim below in the water and enjoy the breeze.

This condo is without a doubt the very best waterfront condo in all the islands especially for the money. We were amazed at the view of the ocean and the wonderful beach. Everything in this condo is n\ice and newer and we could not have been more excited about our accomodations. You always dream about places like this but this one is all it is advertised to be. You simply will not beat the view nor the price. We will return frequently and recommend this condo to all our friends and family.

Loved the condo. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the view from the balcony is beautiful. Enjoyed sleeping to the sound of the breaking waves all night and having breakfast every morning overlooking the beach and ocean. Got some great dining suggestions from the activities coordinator on the ground floor - the RB Black angus Steadkhouse walking distance away was great, and the Seahouse restaurant a short drive away was delicious and a great value at Happy Hour (2-5). Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay on the west coast of Maui.

My wife and I stayed at Valley Isle Resort #606 for our 5th anniversary. This studio condo is very nice, and the owners have made sure that you have everything you need, from extra pillows to spices to cook with. The kitchen is perfect for staying in and cooking dinner and the bed is very comfortable for a Murphy bed. The location cannot be beat and it is a 10 minute drive from Lahaina. The pool area is very nice and there are high end grills to cook fresh seafood, etc. We snorkeled straight off of the beach everyday and saw lots of coral reef, turtles, and fish. The best part about the condo is the beautiful view and the amazing beach access. I would highly recommend this studio condo #606 and we will stay here again when we return to Maui. Thanks Gary and Geri for exceeding our expectations with this great studio condo!

We thoroughly enjoyed the condo in every way. The amenities were absolutely ideal. New kitchen with everything you need just like home and then some. My wife loves to cook. We spent many romantic evenings on our lanai enjoying a sumptuous dinner, while hearing the crashing of the waves, seeing spectacular sunsets, and enjoying the stars and Venus who was prominent in the sky. Wow - this was just fantastic.
Gary always responded quickly to our needs and that made us feel very comfortable. We heartily recommend this condo to anyone who is visiting Maui. The 6th floor oceanfront location is perfect to see the beach, the palm trees, and then look across the ocean and see Molokai.
Be sure that we will be back to 606 on our next trip to Maui! -

I'm hesitant to say how good this place is because if word gets out, it may be booked all the time and I won't get back to it. I've vacationed in Maui 14 times in the past 20 years and the last 10 have been to Valley Isle Resort because it's by far the best place I've found at a price that's affordable. The westward view toward the island of Molokai (and the setting sun) is fantastic. And the sound of the waves lapping on the beach is heavenly as you drift off to sleep. Condo #606 is our favorite because it's newly renovated and has a beautiful kitchen and bathroom. The location in Kahana is perfect because it's mid-way between Lahaina and Kapalua. There is also a nice retail area only a block away with McDonalds, Roys, Maui Brew & Grill, Maui Dive Shop, a bank and a Shell station with a full convenience store. Once you stay here, you'll never want to stay anywhere else on Maui.

This was our first time to Hawaii and wanted to stay where
we would have full view of the ocean but its to expense,
so we thought until we found this gem.
We loved our stay in Maui and will remember this
trip for a long time .
We enjoyed condo # 606 studio for many reasons.
Nicely renovated.
Murphy bed was very comfortable.(surprised)
The sound of the ocean helped us to sleep.
Sunsets on the lanai were outstanding.
Every night was very quiet and peaceful.
Good beach steps away and only minutes to many more.
Gary and Gerri are very quick to respond and most helpful.
We will come back again !

Our experience in Condo #606 was great. We had a beautiful kitchen that was fully stocked with everything we could need and the bed was suprisingly really comfy. We could see whales almost every time we looked off the patio and even saw several turtles. We were close to kanapali and lahaina which was great. The only thing i can say that was a little unfortunate was that we had some overcast and rainy weather on our visit and the cloud seemed to sit on top of the resort, but thats mother nature! the pool is really nice but kind of gets a bit of wind blowing past it, but again i think it was time of year...Overall it was a great condo and when we had a bit of trouble with our shower, they had someone fix right away, it was great.

When my family and I checked into 606, it instantaneously blew us away. We absolutely loved everything about it. The view was phenomenal, the amenities were great and we found the Murphy bed to be a very nice addition. Throughout our entire trip we felt at home staying in 606…to the point where I started referring to her as home :( In addition to all of these wonderful things about the room, the condo is conveniently located right around the corner from many different shops and restaurants- the Maui Brewing Company is literally a 5 min walk away, so needless to say, we spent a couple nights there!
I highly recommend this place to anyone who desires a wonderful stay in Maui. Thanks again Gary and Geri!

We stayed here for only 3 nights BUT what an amazing place to stay. We were her for 3 nights before we went to our time share for the next 7 nights. Beautiful condo, great kitchen & perfect for the short stay.
The view is amazing, watched ALOT of whales from the lanai. Great to fall asleep to the waves. We'll have to include photos later. We just got back last night. I'm sure we will be back with one of your condos. Thanks ..... -

We had a Wonderful Experience staying in Unit #606.
The Bed was Comfy, the Kitchen , Bath, & Living room were well furnished & loved the Decorating of all including the Lanai. And did I mention the View. Well it is a Wonderful View. We enjoyed the Whales & Turtles & Even Dolphins that Frolic in the Ocean in View from the Lanai. The Outdoor Furniture was Comfy, too. The Sunsets & RainBows were amazing.
The lack of Laundry in Unit was Not a Inconvience at all, as it was so simple to hop on Elevator & go to 3rd floor & through a couple Loads in machines. The Only thing was I got Side tracked by the Views back in Condo from Lanai & lost track of time, so the 30 minutes it takes per load Flew by, so good thing my Husband reminded me of the Clothes in Machine.
It is a Perfect Unit for 2 people. I would Probally want Privacy of one Bedroom if I brought the Grandkids, etc though.But it was Great for the 2 of Us.
We have stayed at Valley Isle Twice before in 1 & 2 Bedroom Units. We love the Complex as it is so Relaxing & Quiet. The Pool is great, too.

I have been renting Condo 606 for several years now and have found it to be a little bit of paradise. The condo is well presented with all the amenities you would have in your own home.The renovations that have been done over the past couple of years are professionally done and very beautiful. Gary did a great job! Anytime that I have rented 606 it has been spotlessly clean. From the Lanai (balcony or porch) you get a breathtaking view of Lanai and Molokai and the sunsets in the evening are spectacular. In the winter months you can see, at any time during the day, lots Whales spouting and breaching. They have a great swimming pool at the rear of the building and there is a sandy beach which is almost private with a reef a little distance out. On windy days there are lots of sail boarding and wind surfing and it makes for a colorful scene. The condo is close to shops and restaurants just across the street. I rent from the Skardinas a month every year and have the best rest
ever. I would highly recommend Condo 606 if you are thinking about visiting Maui. Maui no ka'oi. Mahalo Gary & Geri for letting me have a little piece of your paradise! -

This studio condo was perfect for my husband and I. The view was AMAZING. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves and the wind through the palm trees. In the morning we would just put away the bed into the wall and enjoy the space.
We made breakfast every morning and twice bought some fish from the fish market and grilled it for dinner that we ate from our patio with the best view in Maui.
The only downside is that we had to drive everywhere, though it wasn't very far to Ka'anaplai and Lahaina. It was pretty windy the whole time we were there too.
The best part was having what seemed like a semi-private beach just outside our door.

From the time we decided to rent unit 606 after lots of searching, we had nothing but prompt service, great instruction and Gary the owner was always just an email away. He would answer any question we had within a very short time. When we arrived at the unit we were very happy with everything. It was stocked with everything we needed and very clean! We ended up eating more in the condo than we had thought we would. The view and the sounds of the ocean were so incredible it was hard to leave. They have it decorated very cute.The new HD TV was very nice. I was a little worried about the Murphy bed as my husband has a cranky back but it was very comfortable and he had no problems. We were lucky enough to meet Gary and Geri while we were there and I must say they are a delight. We will definitely return to 606 or even there one bedroom 605 which Gary and Geri showed us and it was just as nice, just had a little more room. Thanks for such a wonderful place to go. It was hard to leave.

Everything we could want! Spectacular views with easy access to the adjoining beach--which is great for sunbathing as well as snorkeling. Superbly located on the western shores of Maui, there are wonderful restaurants of a variety of cuisines and pricing, all within walking distance or a very short drive. The condo was immaculately clean, nicely decorated with a well-stocked kitchen and obviously newly remodeled bathroom. Our favorite moments were sipping wine on the Lanai watching the sunsets. There was nothing we didn't love.
