Description from the owner

The lanai view is 180 degrees Sandy Beachfront. The accomodations for two are fresh and updated with cherrywood and granite. Plush Murphy bed hides away during the day. The pool offers lazy days of soft breezes and sunshine. You'll love the Old Hawaii look of the lush gardens around the resort. From the private lanai you can see the islands of Molokai and Lanai, whales in season, cruise ships, and Sunset. A dreamy place for cocktails or morning coffee. A flat screen TV has been added in 2010. Owners have 23 years of happy guests.

This place is utterly, out of this world gorgeous! My wife and I honeymooned here for a short five days after staying in Waikiki, & we both wish we had spent the whole time here. A close drive to all the coolest beaches and Lahaina. Linda was a delight and very accomodating. Thaks so much! From James & Kelly

      Best kept secret!

Left on 06/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We had a wonderful stay and Mike and Linda's condo.! Valley Isle Resort is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Kaanapali but close enough to the action if you want it. We enjoyed candlelight dinners on the lanai, a beautiful sunset every evening and rainbows galore. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we would need, the Farmer's Market just south of the resort has great bulk foods and prices. We booked our excursion with the Concierge at the Royal Kahana next door to avoid the time share presentation of the concierge at the Valley Isle. They can get you really good deals if you want to sit through the presentation which we did not. Boss Frog's across the street is great for renting snorkel gear, we saw sea turtles, beautiful fish and scenery. #306 truly was our home away from home, the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. Mike and Linda think of everything to make the stay comfortable. We will be back!!

      Excellent location and lovely accommodations

Left on 04/27/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Found this condo on Tripadvisor and am pleased to be able to recommend it most highly. The price was reasonable. Linda and Mike have created a perfect getaway and have left nothing out. Every possible kitchen utensil and spice made it easy for us to cook for ourselves. The view from the comfortable lanai was breathtaking. At the height of the 3rd floor, we could hear the waves crashing, see Sea Turtles and still have the privacy we needed. The bed was pretty comfy for a murphy bed. There were Hawaiian music Cd's including IZ and classic Hawaiian. Would be honored to be a guest here again. Thanks!

      very good studio

Left on 08/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We booked this studio for our second visit to Maui (the first time we went to a bed and breackfast) and we were very satisfaied about the accomodation and the facilities of the condo. The studio is clean, well mantained and has got everythig you need (so much cooking tools!!). The view from the lanai is very beautiful and if you dine on the lanai it's like dining on a restaurant terrace. In the studio there are burner, microwave and traditional oven so you can cook whatever you want but if you like bbq as us you can cook on the pool premises at the professional bbqs. If we'll come back to Maui we surely book again this accomodation.

      Great neighborhood feel

Left on 07/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Enjoyed the Kahana location. Nice walks through neighborhoods. Close to everything you need to "live" like a local. We particularly liked the hike on the Kapalua Coastal Trail and the near by snorkeling. The Condo was very nicely updated and clean. We felt like we were in a home not a vacation rental.

      Paradise at a great value!!

Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in May 2011

My husband and I spent the first six nights of our honeymoon at Unit 306 in the Valley Isle Resort. The view from our balcony was absolutely beautiful, and we never tired of seeing it. To be able to go to sleep and to hear the sounds of the waves crashing was awesome. We had everything that we needed at the condo. I have to admit, though, that was I shocked when I realized that there was no air conditioning, but realized then that it's quite common (hello, you're in Hawaii), and we quickly acclimated. Oh, and the bed!! I know that I was a little anxious about sleeping in a queen bed and still getting a good night's sleep, but that mattress is to die for!! I need to ask Linda where they got that mattress topper. We had a fantastic time and would stay there again!

      Amazing Vacation :)

Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Me and my new husband had our honeymoon at Valley Isle in #306, Linda and Mike Strapp's condo. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation!

The condo itself was amazing, we spent a lot of our time just sitting on the lanai, drinking pina colada's and watching the ocean :)

We fell in love with snorkeling while we were here also. The fish outside the condo and in beautiful bay's nearby were amazing!

And we loved the Old Lahaina Luau! Amazing food, great entertainment, and the perfect contribution to our Hawaiian Honeymoon.

All in all everything was perfect :) We would definitely stay at the Strapp's condo again and we thank them for sharing their little piece of paradise with us :)

Everything you need right there with a great view!

Left on 05/16/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Our first visit to maui was fabulous! This was due in large part to Condo # 306 at the Valley Isle Resort. Super clean, comfy and quiet! The surf is fifty feet from the roomy balcony, lulling you into bonelessness from the moment you arrive. Kitchen has everything you need, even a great papaya peeler. Shopping at Costco and cooking in most nights, we saved loads of money. We rented all our beach stuff at Boss Frog's, great experience there, too, and just accross the street from the condo.

This condo is very low key in a queit part of Maui, just what we needed!

Thanks for sharing your home with us, we are already setting the date to come and stay at #306 again.

      Absolutely Incredible

Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2010

When searching for condos to stay in while we planned for our Maui vacation, I just happen to stumble across condo 306 at the Valley Isle Resorts. We figured it was going to be a "so so" experience, but we weren't going to be in there much so it didnt matter. When we got there and walked in we were absolutely floored by the amazing setup and view of the condo. Linda had prepared us very well ahead of time by giving us tips and suggestions to all the hot spots in the area, and when we arrived there was also a suggestion book they had prepared for more ideas to keep us busy. Everything from the big amenities like ovens and refridgerators were there for us, along with extra pillows and blankets, a cooler to take down to the beach, beach chairs, candles, blenders, toasters, dishes, pots and pans, spices...everything. They really thought of all the little things that would turn an okay trip into a personalized and fantastic vacation in paradise. Not only that, but the condo was decorated with style and hawaiian flavor. We went on this vacation with a couple friends who rented out a condo upstairs from us, and we found ourselves always hanging out at our condo instead because of all its personal touches and amenities. I will always from now on refer everyone i know specifically to this condo to stay in, and we will be returning everytime we make our way into tropical bliss.

Valley Isle #306 was Relaxation at it's best!!

Left on 07/20/2010 for a stay in May 2010

Staying in a condo is the best way to go when staying in Maui! Having the amenities of a refrigerator and stove were wonderful. We were able to save money by not having to eat out at restaurants for every meal. We packed picnic lunches in the cooler that is provided and headed out for the day!
The beach is much more private than some of the other beaches. There are condos surrounding the area so not too many people were around. The condo complex was very clean as well as the condo itself. Staff were friendly and helpful. One thing I thought would have been nice was some type of midweek mixer, where guests could mingle out by the pool together or on the lawn.
The bed was very comfortable. They have a foam type mattress topper which I loved and plan on purchasing for my own bed! The pillows were also comfortable and there were plenty of them. Which is a huge deal to me as my pillows can really determine how well I sleep!!! They have everything available in the condo that you may need, tape, scissors, all kitchen tools, candles, books, games. Really a home away from home.
I highly recommend #306 and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!!
      Enjoy!

A mini home away from home

Left on 05/20/2010 for a stay in May 2010

The condo unit was great!!! The rent was extremely reasonable!! And the owners are wonderful to work with!!

My husband and I went to sleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean. We had dinner on our ocean front lanai during sunset! The unit was stocked with everything from spices to a lunch cooler. We cooked most meals at the condo and was never without a cooking utensil, pot or pan. The place was very clean and upgraded with a pretty good entertainment system. Kahana is a beautiful part of the island and fairly close to grocery stores and a small mall. We would definitely stay at this condo unit again!

      GREAT!

Left on 05/13/2010 for a stay in November 2008

We stayed 3 weeks (Nov-Dec). We plan to stay again soon. Doesn't that say it all? The condo is newly remodeled and done very beautifully. You'll want for nothing....You'll have internet, telephone, many TV channels, books, a few steps to the elevator door, a few steps to the laundry, a condo care number, pool, grills, and on and on.
We love the lanai for eating, reading, relaxing, whale watching, ocean beauty, etc. We love the the few steps to walk on the ocean beach. We love the location. A few miles and we're at the Bada Bing surfing championship. And the board walk on the ocean. And the cove. And more walking trails along the golf course. We got up at 3am and went to see the sunrise at the volcano. The condo is great for enjoying the peace and beauty of Maui, Hawaii...We're planning our next stay at 306 Valley Isle. We hope it will be available.

      The pure simple facts are:

The location on the third floor overlooking the ocean and the neighbor islands was fantastic.

The Studio was very well kept and ample room for two.

The price ($125 plus taxes) was very fair.

Information left by the Strapps regarding things to do and where to find things was very good.

      The weather.............perfect.

The bottom line is found in our quote we placed in the Strapps memory book........."to tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves...we have just lost a third of our assets in the market and we don't give a s_ _ _!!!!" That says it all.

Oh, and by the way, we will go back and use the Strapps Studio again in the near future if it's still available.
