Birmingham, ALAt home in paradise
Left on 03/27/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I took my son to Maui as his high school graduation gift. He loved the loft and I had the master bedroom. It was wonderful. We felt like home away from home. I had previously stayed in resorts which felt very impersonal and I was at their mercy for food and other items. The location of Kahana Village is very convenient to grocery stores and markets. The walk to the pool and beach was so close. We loved having towels, chairs, cooler, etc. provided. The remote to the tv was missing and we contacted the office and it was handled immediately. I would recommend this wonderful complex to anyone plannign a trip to Maui.

This was an incredible condo and location. We were central to everything we wanted to do while on our Maui family vacation. Our condo was steps from the beach and the community was so welcoming! We had such a great time we've decided to make Kahana Village an annual trip! Can't wait to come back.

There were 2 couples and our single brother and we stayed 11 days. I selected unit #2, a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit and the loft bedroom had it's own bath and the downstairs bedroom was very large with a king bed. The condo looked exactly like the video tour on line, it was very well equipped from all the dishes to extra spices. We enjoyed our ocean view while having morning coffee on the lanai. We really enjoyed the beach chairs and the small cooler when we went off to the beaches. We used the washer and dryer quite a few times. There were beach towels provided and you could exchange for clean ones when needed. The only draw back was the hide-a-bed it was not comfortable so our brother just put the mattress on the floor, I don't think they make a sofa bed you can sleep on for 11 days! The staff was great! The grounds are kept nice and we used the Bbqs poolside. We would all return!

We were very pleased with our condo, the property, the staff and everything associated with our stay. The location was great, the sunsets breathtaking, and the whale watching was awesome. We have travelled many places in our country and around the world, and this trip ranks in the top 3.

This year we switched to unit 2 instead of unit 9. The upgrades were great however there is still room to improve. Examples are minor things such as replacing the curtains in the master bedroom downstairs. The present ones are sun rotted. Also we would have enjoyed having a replacement of the skillets - one was so used the teflon was peeling off. Small cereal bowls for adults would be nice. The view was just fine for whale watching and being on the corner and up gave us plenty of privacy. The tents for the owners meeting was a downer that we did not anticipate mostly because they were up for a couple days and hindered our view as well as the 'partying' the owners did, but we understand that the management of the complex really has little say in this. Next time we will ask when this is taking place so we are not there at the same time.

Located in very friendly Kahana condo complex. Staff wonderful, grounds well-maintained, nice shallow pool and hot tub. Unit well -equiped with lots of light and nice view of water. Weather did not allow us to enjoy lanai. Enjoyed bed configuration for our family of 5.
Only negatives were: door difficult to close, some daytime traffic noise and draperies awkward to open/close. -

Left on 06/18/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Liked the location because we could see the turtles in the morning and evening. It was a thrill every time. Check-in and entire staff are excellent. It's a welcoming experience.Because I've only stayed in one other unit that's what I compared this unit to. The patio is much too hot once the sun hits it, it needs a shade. The kitchen needed a good cleaning as well as a new ice maker. And lastly the construction that was going on while we were there was inconvenient as far as noise and parking But believe me when I say that your resort is the best place we have ever stayed on Maui. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Our stay in Kahana Village #2 was great. The condo is lovely. We liked the Kahana area. Close to everything and also a bit more low rise and neighborhood feeling than Kaanapali. The strongest points for Kahana Village are the staff and the Mai Tai parties. Vicky, Harmony and Curtis, in the office, are so outgoing and helpful that you immediately feel at home with them. They responded to anything we needed. The Mai Tai party on Wednesday night allowed us to meet other people staying there which was fun and also made it feel like home. It is a bit noisy in the morning. The master bedroom on the back means that road noise and garbage trucks happen pretty early. We are good sleepers and did fine but it is something to know.

I stayed at Kahana Village #2 with 3 other friends. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The unit was beautiful, very clean, well stocked, and had a great view. The complex was quiet and relaxing. The pool area was fun, and the Wednesday night Luau Party was a blast. We couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. We will be back soon!

When we arrived to find fingerprints all ove the fridge, the coffee maker , the dishwasher, the glass table tops,, the tv screen - I cleaned them off. The master bed's bottom sheet was inside out and put on sideways - I changed it around. There were crumbs on the kitchen floor and master bedroom floor - I swept them up!
We could not work the coffeepot or DVD player. Had to search for books to give directions. They were of no help. Too complicated! In the past when we stayed at Kahana Village, we did not have these kinds of dissatisfactions! Each appliance had simple instructions nearby!

The complex is very clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and very willing to help. It is low key, and not a large resort at all, so best suited for a relaxing stay. The location is excellent given the great beaches and parks in the area.

Service was excellent from the time we booked to the time our stay ended. The home was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. It was clean and we felt like we were at home. The view from the balcony was breath taking. The location of the home was great. There were a lot of amenities and it was a short drive to Lahaina for shopping, great beaches and great restaurants. I loved everything about the condo. The staff were wonderful and the cleaning staff, especially, Tina. Everyone was friendly and was always smiling.

Left on 05/14/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Unit 2 was a good unit. It's located very close to the water, which is very nice.
It is also located far enough away from the pool/patio area that it is normally
quiet at night. Unfortunately, we had some very noisy and inconsiderate
guests in the unit beneath ours. However, despite that, the unit was nice,
quiet and comfortable. The upstairs queen bed was very soft and I found it to
be uncomfortable (if you do not like very soft beds that sink towards the
middle), however, the staff at Kahana Village provided us with a foam mattress
which worked great on the floor. The Unit does not have much comfortable
seating in the living room (one couch and two wood-backed chairs) but we
spent most of our time outside and therefore did not require anything else.
The staff at Kahana Village was terrific and helped us with all our noise and
comfort concerns and we were very grateful for their help. -

The service at Kahana Village was wonderful and friendly. We stayed in Unit#2, a beautiful 2 bedroom loft that had breathtaking ocean views. The unit was steps from the beach & pool for the best of both worlds. With a family of 5 there was plenty of room. Close to Kaanapali & Lahaina and a good walk to Kapalua if you are up for it!
We will definitely be staying at Kahana Village the next time we travel to Maui! -

The condo was lovely, well furnished, extremely well equipped. The bathrooms were large and well laid out. The kitchen had everything we needed. The locstion is perfect, with a nice beach, a great pool and hot tub. It was very nice to have outdoor grills, we used them several time.
The service was perfect, everything was as explained, we had some baby furniture delivered, and the management team was very cooperative in giving access to the condo for the people delivering the furniture. This is the nicest place we have ever rented and we would recommend it highly.
We have no negative comments, the place was just perfect for our family vacation. -

Left on 05/29/2009 for a stay in March 2009
This is our second stay at Kahana Village and we were not disappointed. Our goal when we come here is to have a self-sufficient place with plenty of room for our two girls - ages 5 and 7. To them it's like a house with a pool and beach, to us it is paradise! Great views, great service if needed from the staff, relaxing and quiet - we often don't leave the condo, pool and adjacent beach many days - just hang out as a family without being cramped in a hotel room without fresh air.
We will definitely be back! The whales were awesome this year too! -

We spent 10 days in Kahana Village last year and it was an awesome experience! The condo was as seen on the web, just beautiful. The gorgeous view from the balcony gave us the opportunity to watch the sunset every night. Kahana Village provides a wonderful privacy which we attach importance to. It's close to beautiful beaches and close to Lahaina for a night out and shopping. The staff is absolutely friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We definitely will go back, most likely next year. We will skip this year for only one reason: we had twin girls in January.

We returned to Kahana village for the second time because our previous stay was simply wonderful. We travel with 2 little children and the accommodations (pool, beach and condo) were simply perfect for our wahinis. The condo was very clean, nice, had all the amenities that one could desire while on vacation (we cooked most of the time). We have no complaints and will return again soon. The Wednesday social put on by Vicky and staff were very enjoyable and a great opportunity to make new friends. Especially our children enjoyed some of the other children visiting. The whale viewing from our balcony was simply exquisite. I have never seen that many whales breech the water on such a continual basis.

The ocean literally steps from the condo was amazing and the location
relative to Lahaina was very convenient.

Left on 05/05/2009 for a stay in March 2008
We arrived to the wonderful view, with whales spouting and feeding nearby. Our apartment was well furnished, very clean and comfortable, but due to our sons recent foot surgery we asked to relocate to a first floor unit. The Village Manager was most understanding, so after the first week we finished our stay in an available first floor unit with no stairs allowing for wheelchair navigation. We will return someday, but it is a long way from our home on Cape Cod. Kahana Village would be our choice again.
