Kona HawaiiBreathtaking View.
Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in February 2013
From the moment we walked through the front door we were Wowed! The view was breathtaking, the condo was well appointed, and spit-spot clean. We loved the sound of the ocean waves. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable and a perfect temperature. We had it all to ourselves in the evening. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made us feel welcomed from the moment were arrived and check out was a breeze. Thank you Kahana Village, we'll be back.

I would highly recommend this unit and condo complex in general. We had young kids and the proximity to the beach and the pool was great. The management staff was very accomodating in all respects and made our stay that much better.

This ocean front unit (#4) was more than we could ever expect. The view from the lanai was to die for. Great sunsets and rainbows. It was so nice to have dinner while watching the sun set over the Pacific. Our unit was very quiet as it was not on the road. Amenities within the unit were fabulous, very comfortable living room TV area, and granite countertops in kitchen. Selection of kitchen utensils, cookware, plates were great that allowed us to make some nice dinners at night. They even have gas grills outside for cooking. Local to grocery stores and shopping and dining in Kaanapali and Kahaina, about 15 minutes away. Mahalo to Vicky, the resort manager and her staff as they were very accomodating. I would definitely recommend Kahana Village and in particular unit #4!

The ammenities of this unit were up-graded and lovely. The pool area and views were stellar. The first unit we were located in was a shameful disaster, however it had wonderful views.

We found Kahana Village online and decided to book our stay with them after reading all the wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed. Our condo was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for our one week stay. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. Our kids loved the pool and spent quite a bit of time playing on the beach. We will definitely stay here on future visits.

The office staff was always helpful in giving us directions to restaurants, event activities, what ever we needed, they where very knowledgeable and so pleasant. Our unit was clean and totally prepared for or stay. This is the second time we've stayed at Kahana Village and it won't be our last. We are looking into our next trip to Maui and of course will stay there. We traveled with our family and they where also very impressed with or condo and have stated their next vacation in Maui they will also stay there with us.

Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Finding Kahana village online, I was a little nervous. However, we had an amazing experience!! Our condo #4 was wonderful and it truly felt like our home away from home. The check-in and check-out was easy and the staff was so friendly. The "stocked" items, such as laundry detergent, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, beach towels, and TP were unexpected. We had an amazing time and would definitely return. Thank you for an wonderful experience, especially since it was our first time in Maui!

We were woken up quite a bit during the night with locals fishing right out front and was surprised that security didn't ask them to leave. We expected a bit more privacy. I wouldn't rent that condo again.
The trip was nice though. -

Stayed 4 nights (thanks for accomodating our schedule) with our two adult children. We liked the location and the beautiful view. We had great weather while we were there and enjoyed the pool and patio area a couple of afternoons. Especially great for spending time in Lahaina, which we did. By the way Old Lahaina Luau is the best we've ever attended, especially the food choices and servings.

We had a wonderful time while in Maui and staying with you. We did lots of things and enjoyed the time. Tsunami was a very definite challenge for 6 in the van overnight. But truly thankful and feel blessed for all that it was not worse. Certainly a learning experience.
The condo itself had a great view, was quiet, out of the way of the bigger scene, but close enough that it could all be enjoyed . -

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We loved both the condos we stayed in. They were so close to both the beach and the pool. The furniture and ammenities were perfect. We all loved the Maitai party as well.
Our only complaint/question was about the rules surrounding the hottub. There was an enormous "no kids under 10" sign beside it, but there was no explanation as to why this rule was in place. Subsequently, during our stay, noone, including us, respected it. Our kids were in the hottub all the time - they love the hottub. It made me feel uncomfortable to see the sign but not understand.
Either we needed some reason for the strange rule (our kids go into hottubs all the time - and your pool was cold.) Or perhaps there should haev been 'kid friendly times' and 'adult only times'. That would ahve made sense to us.
I think the whole hottub business lead to some bad blood between renters and owners.
Other than that, we'd love to come back.

The unit was over-sold on the webpage; it was not nearly as nice as it appeared in the photos. But the location was wonderful. I think you should advertise your potential renters that you are geared toward family vacations. Because we were traveling without children and desirous of an adult-friendly vacation, , we were not too enamored with the hot tub filled with children, the crying baby next door, etc.

Left on 03/04/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We have stayed at KV one other time. Love the idea of being in a condo so we can cook and spacious enough for a family of 4-6. Unfortunately, our refrig did not work and even after it supposedly got fixed, it had to eventually be replaced which was over half of our vacation with "warm" food. Still, they did get a replacement pretty fast once the decision was made to replace it. The staff is really really nice and we like cleanliness of the units, the ease of getting out of our unit and into our car, and the nice grounds. We will definitely go there again.

Could not ask for a better view off the lanai of Kahana Village Unit #4. Beautiful sunsets, and really enjoyed turtle & whale watching. What a nice surprise. The unit itself had everything you needed, very well provided. Nicely updated. Perhaps the only thing left to do would be to tile the lanai. Flushing the toilet upstairs made a fairly loud noise (like air in the pipes) but no big deal, we got used to it. Grounds were well kept. Harmony at the front desk was very helpful and a treat to deal with (a good example of true Hawaii aloha). Yes we will be returning to Maui, and yes we would stay in this unit again, if a 2 bedroom was needed.

My wife and I and our two boys (5) and (9) stayed here for 10 days and it was great. The loft with the twin beds and full bath was great for my boys as well as our master bedroom with the king. We saw turtles each morning while having breakfast on the lanai. The place is clean and almost on top of the beach. We will stay there again when we go back to Maui.

From the easy check in to or departure, it was a great experience. Vicki, the manager was so good to us even mailing home a large package we mistakenly left behind. The condo was great for our family, my (2) boys 5 and 9 years old loved their loft with twin beds and their own bathroom and my wife and I enjoyed the lanai overlooking the ocean after we would put the kids to bed. At breakfast on the lanai, we saw turtles swimming by every day. When we go back we will stay there again!

We had an excellent time. The views are beautiful loved being right on the beach. The only noise that was bothersome was the public beach access, occasionally. The room was a little dusty for my wife and I with allergies but I think it was the time of year and the volcano gas.We really enjoyed staying here and will be returning in the future, the people we have met here were great had a wonderful time meeting people from all over the country, staff was excellent enjoyed dealing with them.

Fremont, CAFamily 50th wedding anniversary trip
Left on 04/22/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We rented three units at Kahana Village to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. All three units were well maintained and contained all of the required amenities that you would expect. Kahana Village is a well maintained complex with on-site staff that is available to assist as required. The Mai Tai party was an added bonus and the whale that was sighted during it added excitement. I would recommend this unit and others within the complex. The location on the beach is ideal and the grounds lend themselves that a relaxing stay.

We loved Kahana Village, our condo was great. We loved the fact that we did not need to buy or rent body boards for the kids to use every day. The fact that you provided the beach towles and chairs to take to the beach. The easter bags that my girls received, it was all fabulous and we would recommend you to everyone.

We stayed for one week in unit #4. Check-in was very easy. Even though we arrived after the office was closed, it was very easy to pick up our keys, and get into our condo. There is lots of parking, near the condos.
Unit #4 was spectacular. The condo is HUGE. Kitchen was remodelled, and included everything you could think of. Living room has a large, comfortable sectional couch, plus two additional chairs. There are TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. Bathroom on the main floor has been remodelled and is quite nice.
The condo has everything you need for a day at the beach. Including comfy chairs, two huge umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. The pool is lovely. It was quite cool while we were there, but the settting is so beautiful.
The view is the best part. We awoke to crashing waves, with whales spouting and breaching off-shore. I even saw dolphins one day. What more could you ask for? Sunsets from the condo grounds were awesome. The sun was setting over Lanai. We also had a great view of Molokai.
I would definitely recommend this condo, and will definitely return again. -

Received a warm welcome from Vicki and were very impressed with the condo. It was very well appointed and the views were magnificent. Eating breakfast on the balcony watching the turtles in the water was something we will never forget.

Left on 07/25/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We were very happy with Kahana Village and the unit we stayed in (#4). The condo was in great shape and all of the furniture and appliances were either brand new or showed no signs of wear and tear.
The loft was perfect for the kids as it had two single beds and a separate bathroom.
The view from the lanai was beautiful and unobstucted. The only downfall was that the condos right next to the Kahana Village kept extremely bright lights on at night that ruined part of the view of the night sky.
Outside of that we couldn't have been happier with the place.
Oh yes, one more thing. It wasn't a big deal to us after we figured it out, but there is only one water heater for both bathrooms, washer, and dishwasher. The first day we ran out of hot water before we all got our showers in. However, after that we just made sure not to run the washing machine or dishwasher while we were showing.
We would definitely go back!!! -

There are so many good things to say about Kahana Village that I don't know where to start. From the accomodations, to the staff, to the grounds, to the views, to the lovely condos...it's all perfect. We felt like it was our own piece of Maui paradise. We will be back to Maui and we will stay at the Kahana Village. The staff went out of their way to fufill any request that we had. The grounds are perfectly maintained, the views are amazing, the grills and outdoor kitchen are just what we needed, and the pool was just right. We never felt crowded or like there was something that we didn't have. It was all there. I am so glad that we stayed at KV vs. a large resort/hotel. It just gave us the personal and paradise feel we were looking for on our honeymoon. There were several others that came with us for our wedding in Maui that stayed at the Kahana village as well and their reviews were just as good.
We stayed in condo #4 and was very pleased. Some of the great features are the updated kitchen, updated master bath, tile floors on the first level, a new comfy couch, a great view, and you could hear the waves when the lani doors were open. Everything that we needed was provided by the condo owners.
We had a dream wedding at Makena Cove in Maui and Kahana Village provided the perfect place to have our dream honeymoon. -

Left on 05/28/2009 for a stay in May 2009
My husband spotted the review for this property in the Lonely Planet Maui book. He thought it looked perfect for a chick trip to Hawaii. He was oh so right.
It was perfect for two 50 yr old gals and their daughters. It was safe, secure, and convenient for everything we were interested in; excursions, beautiful beaches, great shopping, awesome restaurants.
The management was very helpful and understanding. The unit was super clean with all the amenities from home plus some. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were modern with plenty of room. There were beach chairs and umbrellas left from previous guests that were much appreciated and well-used.
I was really impressed with the pool area. It was large, handy, and well-kept with a hot tub/bar area AND it's so close to the beach that you almost feel you are on the beach. Doesn't get better than that. The actual beachfront area is small but handy and well-kept. With so many beautiful beaches nearby, this was not an issue for us.
I have already recommended this property to friends and am planning to take my husband there next year.

This was our third time at the property, first time in this unit. The unit was great, newly remodeled kitchen and master bath and oceanfront for whale watching. The lanai has a sun shade for those afternoon viewings and just relaxing.
We love Kahana Village, the grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and the units we have stayed in are well maintained. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here for your next get away to beautiful Maui. -
