El Dorado HIlls, Ca.Another great stay at Kahana Village
Left on 05/21/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Let's see. I think that this was our 6th visit to Kahana Village in 5 years. We've stayed in 5 different two bedroom units. This trip it was #20 which has windows on two sides of the main living area and kitchen. The units with these additional windows make all the difference in the world. The views are worth a few extra dollars to increase what you'll see each and everyday. As always, the staff there is super helpful and friendly.

We again had a magnificent vacation at Kahana Village (unit #20). The view was spectacular, the grounds were beautiful and immaculate, it was quiet and the beach is right off our deck - sandy, shallow near shore and perfect for swimming. I would not stay anywhere else on Maui.

we would not recommend this place to our friends for the fact that we were not treated nicely. we had problems with one of the television sets. the TV was connected via satellite and we could get it to come on. when we asked for help we got a rude speech from a lady that thought all of us were stupid. Office manager Curtis was nice enough but we never felt welcomed.Nobody came around to ask if everything was OK. The lady that sets on the left side of the office as you enter is very rude.

Red Oak, TexasGreat Getaway! Peaceful and quiet, but close to many activities
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in August 2012
The condo we stayed in was clean, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. The mornings and late evenings were beautiful sitting out of the lanai.
The only time it was somewhat uncomfortable was mid to late afternoon when the west sun was beaming through the patio doors. We were there in late august, and it was pretty warm that time of day in the condo. Some air-conditioning would have made the stay nearly perfect.
The condo was close to several beaches, including Kaanapali Beach. It was pretty convenient to Lahaina, which has some great shopping, good restaurants, and two of the best luau's we have ever been to (Feast at Lele and Old Lahaina Luau).
The snorkeling just behind the condo is pretty good, but even better snorkeling is just a few minutes away at Black Rock on Kaanapali Beach and Kapalua Bay.
The staff at the condo were very nice and helpful. They made are stay very pleasant. -

We had an excellent stay and the unit was furnished very well. This was the 1st time that our daughter and her husband has been to Hawaii and she will be coming back here to stay again. When they travel they spent very little time in their unit but we had to be back for the great sunset almost every evening. We plan to come back again too.

Terrific property and beautiful setting. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and have already rebooked to stay again next year. Very friendly staff who is extermely helpful.
Property is very well cared for and the grounds are given consistent care. Incredible ocean views and great beach!
The location is great - close to shopping and restuarants but away from all of the noise and traffic of the large resort properties so it doesn't feel commercial at all.
We highly recommend this resort location -

Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We have been to Maui seven times over the years but this was our family's first time staying at Kahana Village. Found it through Maui Revealed. This was by far the best place we've stayed. The service was phenomenal - needed help with something and, Vicki, the manager, couldn't have been more accommodating. I wish customer service was like that everywhere! Our unit (32) was a comfortable home away from home - great having a washer and dryer! My morning coffee enjoying the ocean view couldn't have started my days better. Incredible. It was near enough to things to explore but also enjoy the peace and quiet we needed. Thank you Kahana Village - what a great time we had celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and my son's god-father's 55th. The one downside was daily maid service was extra and I felt that at what we were spending for the unit, it should have been included - at least more than once a week. Left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, we can't wait to come back. Note, I marked service as a 3 vs. 5 star because maid service cost extra.

Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our third stay in 4 years at this wonderful condo resort. I am so glad we discovered this complex...it has become our home away from home. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Maui. The grounds are beautiful; the location is just right - close to Lahaina & Kaanapali but removed from the traffic and noise; the condo is well-maintained! But the best part of Kahana Village is the staff---exceptional people with so much aloha!!!
We love the 2nd story beachfront location; the lanai overlooks the lawn and beach and the views are amazing. Our morning ritual is coffee and turtles off the lanai! The evening ritual is cocktails and sunsets from the lanai---how can you go wrong? We were too early for whales this year but they can also be spotted during the season out in the channels! -

We split our vacation trip to Hawaii between Oahu, where we stayed at a luxury hotel on Waikiki Beach, and Maui, where we stayed at Kahana Village. Our visit to Waikiki was great, but our week at Kahana Village was unsurpassed.
Because we traveled off-season, we paid a special reduced rate, but Kahana Village would have been well worth the full price of admission. What you see on their website and on the Flipkey website is what you get, and you get a lot. Staying in a two-bedroom, ocean front condo compared to a one room ocean view hotel in Kaanapali speaks for itself, especially when the condo is hundreds of dollars less expensive (we are experienced travelers who prefer the choice of a condo whenever possible). And having two bathrooms is a terrific perk.
Five minutes after we walked into the office we were unpacking suitcases in our condo. The layout of the condo was perfect, the furnishings ample, and the bedding comfortable. Nothing beats morning coffee or afternoon lunch on the lanai, watching the monk seals play in the waves 100 feet away.
A bit off the beaten path (this is a good thing), Kahana Village is still convenient to Lahaina, being only about 10 miles or so and 15-20 minutes up the road. In fact, it is convenient to the remainder of the island, with drives of less than an hour to Paia or Wailea and less than 20 minutes to Napili and Kapalua.
While we didn't have need to interact too much with the staff while we were visiting, those times that we did were pleasant experiences. Because we had an extended stay, housekeeping services were provided after our third day. And while Kahana doesn't advertise it, boarding passes for the trip home can be printed at the office.
Finally, we spent a lot of time by the pool. It was always clean and the lounges and chairs were hosed down every morning.
We had a great time on our vacation and look forward to the opportunity to return to Kahana Village in the future.

Have stayed at kahana village 4 times and am always satisfied. Great location id you don't want to be directly in the path of traffic and tourism and still close enough to downtown lahina. I would highly recommend this location. One bit of advice is if you are looking for quiet do not stay in one of the condos overlooking the pool. The windows are tropical style slated and don't actually block any noise. But i have stayed I the ones off the pool and they are quite enjoyable.

I have been going to Kahana Village for years. Vicky and the staff are always wonderfully warm and welcoming. The complex is low rise, intimate, oceanfront, and the grounds are beautifully kept. They are consistently upgrading the property. Unit 20 is one of my favorites. The unit has comfortable furnishings, beautiful decor and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything a cook could want. I will continue to spend my Hawaii vaction dollar here. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at Kahana Village for our honeymoon. Kahana Village was recommended by a colleague and it met my expectations and much more. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. Not being on a main beach provides additional tranquility with its very peaceful setting. The location is perfect: within 3 miles of the main beaches and bays south and north of the Condos. Our unit (20) was a stone's throw from the beach with breathtaking views. The unit itself was amazing and it felt like home. My wife and I really enjoyed the full / stocked kitchen and the Bbqs near the pool. The staff are outstanding! The Mai Tai party hosted by the staff was the perfect way to start our honeymoon and Kahana village is the perfect place to stay. I plan to return to Kahana village soon and have recommended it to others. Thank you!

Of all the places we could have gone for our 25th anniversary, in the end, we decided to go to Maui and stay at Kahana Village.
From this unit we got a great unobstructed ocean view with a beautiful sunset and the sound of the ocean. We loved eating breakfast and having our morning coffee on the lanai where a cute little bird would come and visit us or having a glass of wine as we watch the sun set. The unit was well equipped and had everything we needed just like we were at home. We really liked the location of Kahana Village. Everything we wanted was close.
The staff was great and Curtis was very helpful. When we get back to Maui, we would really love to stay at the same place again. -

This is my fourth trip to Maui and Kahana Village. I could not be more satisfied and happy by Kahana Village as evidenced by the fact I keep returning to the same rental property. I feel very comfortable at this property - a lot like family. It is smaller and more intimate. Not the crazy rat race of the larger hotel properties. The staff goes out of their way to be sure you are happy and that your visit is a memorable pleasurable experience. They make you feel like family. The property is very well maintained and very beautiful. The condos are very nicely furnished and very clean and comfortable with each one being different from the other. I have been in 2 different ones and both are wonderful. I was told about this property from someone else that had stayed there long ago and I thank that couple many times over for turning me on to Kahana Village. It is indeed my corner of paradise and I look forward to each of my visits and seeing my Maui family each year. I tell everyone that Kahana Village is the place to stay when they visit Maui.

Awesome, better than ever imagined. We spent over a year researching and don't regret anything. The whole complex is even better in person....the pictures (inside unit and out) don't do it justice. Harmony and Curtis (Vicki was on holidays) were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The grounds are very well kept and the pool was enjoyed by ourselves and our 6 year old. Kahana Village is located in a great part of Maui, not too busy and yet close to everything. Great food and gift stores close by (check out the Farmers Market).
The unit itself has the most amazing view!! It is the first thing you see when you walk in. The kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked with anything that you might need. It felt like home right away. One thing to note,if you are looking for quite solitude you may not want to be located so close to the pool area. The beach is lovely(not perfect, rather rocky), and there were people swimming, snorkeling (not the best) and surfing off the break. Very cool snorkeling located close by - Kapalua Bay. Turtles playing in the water, right out your window! Amazing!
Mai Tai Party!!!! Awesome fun, great to meet your fellow vacationers. Again, Harmony and Curtis go above and beyond!
Would we go back? In a heartbeat. -

Loved this condo! I felt immediately at home as it had very warm and inviting decor. The view and beach front setting was breath taking. We had breakfast on the balcony every day.
No problem with finding a spot amongst the parking lot, free wireless and international calls a fantastic bonus (most hotels in Maui seem to charge through the roof for those essentials).
Friendly, welcoming and informative staff. A really enjoyable stay.
The only thing I will say about staying in Kahana as an area is it's a drive to get anywhere else in the Island. We spent a few days in Kihei earlier in the week, the condo there wasnt remotely as nice, but it was easier to hit the highway and get to the other side of the island. In Kahana, its 40 mins just to get down to the junction to go east (e.g. for Road to Hana, Haleakula etc). -

Kahana Village is the perfect condo-resort for low-key travelers. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Complex is quiet and right on the beach, so we enjoyed many nights and early mornings listening to the waves, watching turtles, sting rays, a seal, and tons of shooting stars! We found the grounds and the pool area to be very well-maintained. Unit 20 is nice--great views and right by the pool/bbq areas. We had a few maintenance problems (non-working coffeemaker & toaster),constantly running toilet, loose screens, etc. but all were handled promptly. Unit needs to be repainted and cupboards are so full of old appliances, etc. that there was no storage room for groceries but we still managed to have a great time! Would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a relaxing beach front vacation without the "touristy" or party vibe that you get in other areas of Maui.

Unit #20 was very clean, bright and has a magnificent view. We had just a couple very minor issues arise that was addressed immediately to our satisfaction by the staff. We were greeted with champagne, souvenir glasses, and chocolates in our refrigerator and a card (we were celebrating a 20 anniversary and a birthday while there). My only (minor) complaint is at night while on the lanai enjoying the stars the two security lights near the BBQ's shined in our eyes. The Wednesday Mai Tai party is a nice touch. We definitely plan to return in the future. Roger, Cec, Mike & Debi

We were only able to stay for 5 days but wished it could have been longer! The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The check-in at the office went smoothly and very accommodating. We used the pool and also saw turtles on the beach. We could sit and have coffee on the balcony in the mornings and hear and see the ocean. Couldn't have asked for anything more! The least thing we liked was the afternoon sun coming through the sliding glass door, really warmed up the condo a bit too much. The sun screen helped a little.

Maui and Kahana Village are my paradise on earth. We have now made 3 trips to Maui and Kahana Village and have no plans on changing. Kahana Village is everything that I expected and more. We were treated and attended to like family. I feel like family. The facilities are wonderful. It is quiet and well maintained and the view is awe inspiring. It is away from the bustling crowd but close enough that you are still in the mix. Unit #20 has one of the best views by far. You can sit on the lanai and watch the beautiful ocean roll in and/or watch the pool area and picnic area, or just close your eyes and get the most serene, relaxed feeling that overcomes you. There are many rental choices on Maui, however, being on the island for three years in a row I really feel that this property is the most ideal. Unit #20 is not the most private unit and need a few updates but you can basically see the entire property. We have stayed in different units and there is not one that was not really nice and made me wish that I could be fortunate enough to own one of them. You should be able to tell by now that I am entirely hooked on Hawaii and Kahana Village and the bright spot of my life is looking forward to our return trips each year. I have no desire to go anywhere else anymore. The serene feeling I achieve while there is worth it's weight in gold. MAUI is for me...........

We've stayed at Kahana Village 7 times in the last 8 years.
