The views were amazing from condo #29! We saw whales everyday!! The staff was great and the grounds were beautiful! No air conditioning though- it was very hot upstairs which is where we slept. Though everything was beautiful the air conditioner is a deal breaker for us.

If you are going to stay in a nice place on the beaches of Maui, then this is the place to stay. The views are amazing! Easy access to the beach and the condo was roomy, clean and had all the amenities that you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and home like. We would definitely come back here again.

My husband and I have been using Kahana Village as our Maui go-to since 1993. Last year we stayed in Unit 29 for whale season and loved it so we booked it again for this year and it did not disappoint. We saw turtles from the balcony and lots of whales!

Having visited Maui before we decided to try a different part of the Island. No regrets. Found service, location and amenities superb. Had a really good time (even being evacuated for a Tsunami warning couldnt dampen spirits)
Beach location obviously one of best points to mention, and least liked was having to leave.

We found this place to be a nice home away from home. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull. It is in a nice location with the sound of the surf putting you to sleep at night. Awesome beaches are minutes away for swimming and snorkling. We will be back in the future. It was nice to have the beach equipment all right in the unit.

Thank you our stay at Kahana Village this past april was awesome! The corner upper unit is definitely worth the extra cost. The extra windows make a big difference. The place is really bright and airy and the view is unbeatable. The difference is that unit #29 doesn't have the reno upgrade like some of the other units do but it's not bad at all. This place totally has a beach house feel to it. The beach is quaint and the water was murky here but we enjoyed checking out many of the other area beaches. We would stay again in #29 and I would recommend it to anyone.

Vicki and Curtis -
thanks for the hospitality at K/V in mid-April for our week visit. The condo was great size (2bd / 2ba) and the kitchen / laundry came in handy and helped a lot during the stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony, it has terrific views of the other islands and location is great too. Beach / reef are right out the door and easy access to all the amenities on property, as well as the entire West side of Maui.
We would have 2 things to bring to your (owner Ginger's) attention on the stay that may be a concern and rectified easily:
A) Get a pest control co. : We had a 1.5 inch live roach the first night on the visit in the condo in / on the kitchen counter, and battled black ants in the place the entire time we were there, both floors. We did notice the 4 cans of bug spray under the kitchen sink, and we would think they were there not by accident. (Having lived in Fla. for 35+ years we are well aware of heat, humidity and bugs, but they can be mitigated with pest control services.)
B) Have the condo cleaned better between guests. Carpet upstairs needed vacuuming badly, floors down stairs had long hairs all over, and the microwave could for sure have used a scrub inside. The patio area needed to be swept & wiped down, glass top tables cleaned on the underneath side both dining and patio... small items but when taken on a whole, need attention.
Over all the visit went well - we would recommend to friends / family here in California to go there and this unit in particular. -

This was the most amazing vacation we have ever went on. Maui is truly like being in paradise. We loved our stay at Kahana Village, I have not stayed in any of the other units/condo's, but I would have to say I believe #29 would be by far the best one to stay in. It needs a little updating, but is in the perfect location, ocean views all the way around, no matter where you look out in the living room & kitchen you can see the ocean. If I ever get the opportunity to go again I would stay at Kahana Village, preferrably in #29. :)

Unit 29 has an exceptional view with a feeling of privacy since it was an end and corner unit. The kitchen was well equipped. We made several meals or brought food in so we could enjoy whale watching while eating. Every thing mechanical worked well. The large mirrors on the walls provided a feeling of more spaciousness.
Kahana Village staff were guest oriented and very friendly. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. -

Last year we stayed in Kahana Village and had a marvelous time. The units were located away from the tall crowded hotels in a quiet area. My wife loved the unit, it had it's own little 'private' beach. She loved to beach comb at dawn with a cup of coffee.
Since Maui is such a small island, everything was within easy driving distance.
We decided to return to Kahana Village this year for a Thanksgiving reunion with my family. They stayed in hotels so we were the only ones able to host an all out Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the trimmings prepared in our fully stocked kitchen.
My relatives were jealous of our condo even though they were staying in high end hotels in Whaler's Village. They said, next time, they're going to stay at Kahana Village instead. -

Left on 10/25/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Kahana Village has become like a second home to my family, so much so we decided to have our wedding there. Both of our families rented other units in the complex, and my husband and I stayed in condo 29. With panoramic views and nearly complete privacy, condo 29 makes the perfect getaway, or hideaway for a couple or small family. Some of my family stayed downstairs in condo 30 which made for the perfect stay both upstairs and downstairs.
We will continue to go back to Maui and stay at Kahana Village as often as possible, as will my family. I can't give high enough accolades to the staff, and I'd recommend this as your destination for an enjoyable stay on Maui. We intentionally planned our flight to arrive for the Wednesday night Mai Tai party at the pool where we had the blessing of being serenaded in celebration of our wedding this year. We spent a few nights using the Bbqs to prepare our family style dinners back at our condos, and enjoyed moonlit swims in the pool. With so many restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the best snorkeling on Maui just a short drive a few minutes up Honoapiilani Hwy, Kahana Village is hands down the best place to stay in West Maui. We can't wait to see you again! -

Condo 29 was the most beautiful place! Our kids enjoyed the upper floor all to themselves with view on the ocean. Well, the 270° view of the pacific ocean that this condo offers is really the most fantastic view we ever experienced! (and we have travelled to many places). You even enjoy to stand in a kitchen during your vacation because of this incredible view. The mirrored walls further increase this all over ocean and sky feeling of this condo! Poeple in the office are very friendly, answer any question you might have. Kahana Village is just a few minutes drive from great bays for swimming, snorkelling, etc. and also 15 min drive to Lahaina too.
Condo 29 was our heavenly home for a perfect vacation on Maui!! We definitely home to be back some day. -

We enjoyed the setting of this property immensely. The 2 walls of windows in the living room/kitchen area facing the ocean and the view from the lanai where just spectacular, There were also great extras like beach chairs, coolers, beach umbrella and snorkel gear which came in handy. They property could use some better upkeep though - there was a bent screen on the front door that let in the bugs and the bathroom cabinets had chipped and peeling paint. The mattress in the master bedroom is also quite hard. One last item on the wich list are some ice cube trays. Those things aside, we would recommend and return to this unit.

Our stay at Kahana Village was outstanding! The unit and complex was perfect. The location was more than we could ask for. Sunsets that are incredible! Everything that we expected and needed was there. A pool, grill and a beach front out the sliding glass doors! Wow!
I would highly recommend staying at Kahana Village. An outstanding place that has an outstanding location! Thanks for a special time and life long memories. -

The condo has the most amazing views from every window !!! Very roomy and supplied everything we needed including beach chairs and umbrellas. It got very warm in the afternoon- but with the use of fans and the constant breeze from the open windows - it did cool down in the evening. The furnishings are old and the beds not very comfortable. The beach is small and not good for swimming- but gorgeous beaches are just minutes away! Our biggest complaint was that we had several geckos inside our condo that liked to come out at night and scamper along the walls! We had some in the master bedroom that made a loud noise in the middle of the night that kept us awake! The staff was unable to help us with this situation.

What we really liked most is the fact that this home looked just like the pictures!!! So often that is not the case. It was extremely clean, the view breathtaking, little touches like games, videos, coolers, etc., and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Lucky for us it was whale season and we saw whales everyday; what a treat!! The only thing that would have made us happier was being able to stay longer!!! The grounds were beautiful, well-maintained and serene. We would definitely return.
Also, the mirrored walls were great as you always saw the ocean. Very near restaurants, shopping, etc. -

My husband won a vacation in Maui for one week and it was our choice where we wanted to stay. After perusing the internet numerous times I found Kahana
Village. It appeared to be exactly what we were looking for. Another couple decided to vacation with us and we booked Unit 29 immediately after we all viewed the pictures of the unit. The minute we arrived, I was told I had found a gem in paradise. We spent a wonderful relaxing week and discovered it was a great location, not far from Front Street(a very nice area with many shops and restaurants),
grocery stores and so forth. The grounds are very nicely maintained and so lovely. The pool and hot tub are such a nice place to spend an afternnoon.
The unit was very clean and well stocked with the things you may need in the kitchen and bath. The washer & dryer in unit made the vacation alittle easier. The 2nd bedroom is a loft and very open, so if anyone is an earlier riser it would be a good idea to not turn on the lights in the living room as it lights upstairs a bit too much. I would suggest to the owners some kind of privacy shade or folding screen. Overall, this is a vacation spot we plan to visit again in the future. Must also mention the staff was delightful. I would give Kahana Village a A+ overall. Definitely a piece of paradise and what a view. -

We had an amazing time on Maui, the ocean front condo was wonderful. we didn't feel we were missing out on anything if we were just spending time in the condo since the ocean was right in front of us. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware and dishes, easy to use laundry, comfortable beds and lots of fans in the unit. We really enjoyed the decor of the condo, it had a very island feel, not overdone, but very livable and comfortable. The staff was helpful with questions, Mai Tia night was fun. Location of Kahana Village is perfect, quite, but close to restaurants and other activities. Vacation of a lifetime, which we hope to repeat. Thanks again.

This was our third visit to Kahana Village in the last five years. We came to see the whales were not disappointed. We saw whales every hour of every day for the 12 days we were there, just standing on our lanai. In our opinion there is no better place to stay on the entire island. The grounds are immaculate and the staff is more than willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is a fantastic experience. The Mai Tai party on Wednesday nights just adds the perfect touch to what the islands are all about. I tell all my friends to stay at Kahana Village if they are visiting Maui and want to truly experience the essence of Maui.

My husband and I have stayed there a few times and just love it!
The location is wonderful for viewing the whales yet private when we just feel like relaxing. The staff is always great and have found it is conveniently located with shopping and restaurants nearby but, not too close. We found the grill they have on site very convenient and as Costco members, stopped there on our way in and shopped for the week, this was awesome for us! We had a late arrival and the staff was very nice and let us know where the key would be so we would not be disrupting anyone that might be resting. Very quite and beautifully kept grounds they have there as well.
We can not say enough kind words about the property, we just absolutely love it. Mahalo for opening your home to us, we appreciate it and will return soon we hope. -

If you want to be "in the thick" of the Maui beach scene, do not stay here. Kahana Village is tucked away, extremely quiet, private and peaceful....but not within walking distance of any nightlife, great restaurants or shopping areas. And there is no beach directly outside of the complex. My husband and I loved the peace and quiet, and the views. Our two teenagers were not as thrilled and felt somewhat "isolated".
The views from all windows are "to die for"! The unit is well appointed, although some larger wine glasses would be appreciated. Although the unit has no A/C, it wasn't a problem, as the trade winds provide a constant breeze.
The grounds at Kahana Village are beautifully landscaped. The pool was pleasant. Towels were plentiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We purchased fish at a local market and grilled by the pool a couple of times - yum!
