We recently stayed at the Sands of Kahana, managed by Sullivan Properties. The condo was a 2 room, 2 bath unit, with a complete kitchen, living/dinning room, and large deck over looking the beach.
The facilities, where not as fancy as some, were clean, and the size/layout of the unit accomodated our extended family very well.
Decent pool and hot tub. The bar/resturant were convenient and good. We also really liked the Kahana location in West Maui. Not as busy as Kannapoli. We would stay again. -

We stayed at Sands of Kahana 3 times now. We like the area and location of the hotel. The rooms are very large and well equiped. The beach is very nice, with tremendous views if you have the right condo. We came in 2 days early from our timeshare to kick in because u loose the entire 1st day traveling. The unit we got for the 2 days had an awesome view. Then we moved into our timeshare unit. The view wasn't as good. The grounds are kept up very nicely with grill area cleaned daily. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times with very good food, service and cost. I wish they would have had cocktail service out by the pool though. There is a reason they don't though. My only issue was that they push the timeshare meeting to much. And when you go the company that does the sales pitch is very high pressure to buy. Don't trust what the salesman says 100%. We do own timeshare and it works great for us. If you don't own timeshare this would be a great location and property to own. My only complaint about the rooms were the beds, the mattresses weren't the best.
