Description from the manager
Let the gently rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean lull you to sleep at night during your Hawaiian vacation. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets and the panoramic unobstructed view of neighboring islands Molokai and Lanai. Sea turtles and dolphins are easily viewed from each of the two oceanfront balcony lanais. Fargo, NDFeels like home to me...

This was our fifth trip to Noelani. The last four trips were 20+ years ago. When I walked out on the lanai it was like I was there yesterday. There is not a better view in all of Maui. You are so close to the ocean that the front bedroom is loud. The ocean is so noisy it can keep you awake but only the first night then you get used to it and it is music to my ears. There isn't a beach in front of Noelani only rocks...but from the lanai you see all sorts of great sites, the surf, the big turtles (many every day), the humpbacks breaching and playing (Nov-April), surfers, wind surfers etc etc etc. There are great beaches within 10-15 min drive from Noelani (Kapalua and Kaanapali). I loved sitting by the pool (there are 2 of them, one heated and one not and a hot tub)...they are situated right next to the ocean...you can sit in the pool or on the lounge chair and watch the ocean all day long.
Bruce Catalano is the Concierge and is super knowledgeable. We booked two tours with him and they were both exceptional (see my reviews of Safari Boat Excursions and Paragon Sailing Charters). He has great knowledge of the weather and the offerings and will stear you in the right direction if you listen to him.
Regarding the 302 condo itself...it is tired. I own a condo in Florida, I know it is expensive but I also know if you are going to rent your unit to others you need to keep up with the times and invest some of your money back into the unit. It needs an upgrade. The beds are comfortable enough, the furniture is getting old especially in the living room. The bathrooms while are fine could use some updating as well. Two stairs need repair (we reported this) as well as the washer being tempermental (also reported). With all this being said...I love this place and would never stay anywhere else. I know there are units that have been updated, I would have loved to see them but did not go snooping :)
My only real complaint was Noelani indicates on the back of it's brochure as a bullet point "High Speed Cable Internet" which is a bold face lie. Some units have high speed internet but ours was password protected and after many inquiries at the office we finally gave up and resigned ourselves to no internet. This did make me unhappy. We feel the condominium as a whole should have high speed internet capability like our condo in Florida does.
The other downfall is you have to mail a check to them because they don't have the ability to take credit cards...this was a huge hassle. Hopefully they will move to the 21st century soon in that regard. All in all it is the absolute best find in all of Maui...Aloha!!! -

First time travelers may find the cincierge service great - Bruce really knows his trade and that is reflected in the presentation made the first morning of our visit at the cabana by the pool.

The accomodations alone were a big part of our vacation. It was a home like setting that me and my family felt extremely comfortable. The unit was equiped with everything and more. We can not wait to come back to Maui and when we do, we will stay in the same unit.

We loved the view, the rooms were well kept, and overall a satisfying experience.

We had two families that included teenagers. We found the property to be quite clean and comfortable. The views were amazing and we enjoyed watching the turtles from the balcony. The resort was very nice also.

The complex and staff was perfect for us. Just out of town we slept well and really were able to relax. Close enough to enjoy all the tourist destinations easily. Baby beach was our favorite beach for the kids and just a short drive away. The complex is older, but perfect for a family vacation - saw lots of whales and sea turtles every day right from our decks. Whatever you do make sure you go to the first breakfast and make arrangments with the concierge for whatever you want to do - why? because he knows the best times to go snorkeling with a particular vendor - how to get great appetizers and a view without having to get a huge meal... all the detail that you wouldn't know as an outsider. It made our trip so much easier to plan and allowed us to relax. The only thing that would have been nicer is if our room had more storage for food. There were so many glasses and miscellaneous stuff that we had to leave our food out on the counter.
