This was our first rental experience, and I must say, we will do it again! The last row on the west side before you reach Turtle Bay Resort, this condo is in a great location, with a less than 5 minute walk to the resort and beach. Aside from missing a daily cleaning service, I would definitely choose the condo option over staying at the resort!!! This condo offered us our privacy with an option to eat in or out. When we wanted to eat out, we simply took a stroll down the road, or hopped in our car and found a shrimp truck! This condo was completely stocked with all that we required – washer and dryer too! Right on the golf course and the lanai offered a wonderful place to relax in the early morning. Very quiet. Only complaint is that the complex did not have a Jacuzzi which would have been nice after a long day of sightseeing and beaching. This visit was a quick quiet get away with just hubby and me a couple of days in Wakkiki and then some more over on the North Shore, but we would definitely return with the family in tow! Although the directions for key access looked a bit confusing when I received them in my confirmation, the process was super easy. You must give yourself some time for the drop off process as it is not on-site, and if you are headed to the airport you will have to back track a bit, but not more than 30 minutes out all together. Definite recommend for a couples retreat or a stay on the north shore!

Temecula, CA, United StatesGreat North Shore Location
Left on 02/12/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Wow! Why would anyone stay in Wikiki? We LOVED the slow pace of the North Shore and this condo was in a perfect location (last row of condos before getting to the resort). We were a 5 minute walk to Turtle Bay Resort and this condo had all the amenitities needed for our stay (it does have a hair dryer!!). Only complaint I could have for the property is that it does not have a jacuzzi on site...only a pool. The jacuzzi would have been nice to relax after a hard day of vacationing! The property management location down at the sugar mill was a little inconvenient for returning the keys - but not a deterrent for staying again. We definitely recommend this location.

Wish we were allowed an office on the property, but it is residential and not possible. Our office is less than 5 minutes up the road.

Extremely uncomfortable couch and hide a bed
Other than that all was great and it was well equipped but could use extra blankets
The lanai is great and love that it is closed in and in the late afternoon sun
Love that there are washers and dryers
And love Turtle Bay

San Francisco, ca, United StatesNot as clean as I thought
Left on 03/21/2012 for a stay in March 2012
I have visited these properties for about 3 years now. I always enjoy my stay on the North Shore.
We found an apartment closer to the Turtle Bay Resort and thought it would be easier to get to the hotel and the beach.
When we arrived we found a nice place with nice furniture. I work when I stay here so I always look for high speed internet. Then I tried to log on the internet router did not work and could not be fixed for my whole stay. I had to sit in the rain and use the free wifi near the tennis courts. I was only given a 10% discount for the problem.
Since it was raining a majority of the time we spent a lot of time in the apratment. We felt our allegies and found that the rug and the couch was not as clean as we would have liked.
I would think about another apartment before you selected this one. -

If you want a nice place to base your North shore expeditions, Turtle bay is a great place. If you want to hob nob with the folks at the club, it available. This was a fun place, quite and very comfortable. Our Condo was 1/2 mile from the resort and beach.
This place is accessible via Honolulu Bus system. The bus will drop you off within 200 or so yards of the complex. So you can ride from Honolulu for a few dollars. -

The property was as described though not sure why a renovated unit had curtains with tears in them and spotted carpet! The bedroom furninshings could be tuned up with little effort. Everything else was wonderful with the location being the best-on the golf course and short walk to the beach!

Left on 09/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
I got married at Turtle Bay Resort and had over 60 guests at my wedding. Most of the guests stayed in this Estate but I will say of all the condos I visited, this had the best interior. This is a well maintained, contemporary furnished condo. I loved it so much. I recommend this condo to anyone trying to rent a place in this Estate. You have nothing to improve on as far as I'm concerned..this #13 condo is fantastic.

I would try the condos again, but a different one. Air conditioning was not very good. At check in I was given a slip of paper saying if the air conditioning was left on during the day a staff member would come in and turn it off. I was also give a note that said they were going to exterminate and we would need to be gone that day for 3-4 hrs after it had been done. I called the office and said I had not been made aware of it and we had planned on spending that day at the beach and the room, they did not know what time he would be coming, morning or afternoon. I was told it was for legal reasons they had to put that 3-4 hour time in but that everything was fine and we did not have to vacate the room. After expressing my concerns and that I was not comfortable withe the situation they agreed to not have the exterminator come. The check out instruction said we were to take our garbage to the dumpsters in the parking lot, this unit however did not have any garbage bags I could find.
It is a nice area and each condo is different, I would try again just a different condo unit. -

We traveled for 10 days to Hawaii with the first 6 days in Waikiki. Our last few days were at The Estates at Turtle Bay, and we were very happy with our decision. It was my wife, our 1 y.o. son and myself. The location was easy for in and outs to the beaches, pools, and golf. The unit was extremely clean, and very functional! The kitchen was perfect for cooking light meals for our son, and ourselves. The Lani furniture was so comfortable that we spent most of our time out there. The indoor couch was not so comfortable, but we didnt spent much time inside except for watching cartoons with our son. The TV and CD player are very nice along with the large fans in the main room. The only complaint we have is the bed smeeled like sweat from the individual before us. We cleaned the mattress cover which helped. Anyway, we would definately stay here again!
Here are a few recommendations: Golf the Plamer course, eat at Kahuku Grill for great burgers, and enjoy the Acai bowl at the smoothie shop across from Foodland. -

Spring Hill, KSA Stay in Paradise
Left on 10/24/2009 for a stay in October 2009
This is the second time we have stayed in this condo. It has been recently remodeled and is very comfortable. It backs to the area of the golf office and restaurant, on weekends can be a little noisy. That is balanced with this condo being an easy walking distance to Turtle Bay Resort and the public beach. Our only real issue would be that the drapes in the bedroom and living area do not block out the light and allow persons to see what is going on in those areas. Some other form of window drapery needs to be put in place We have been pleased enough with this condo to comeback. The area (North shore) is unbelievably lovely and at times on some beaches you are all alone. We have seen the large turtles several times, we would recommend this condo and the Estates of Turtle Bay's 3 star properties.

Clean, nice looking unit. Kitchen Counter outlet wasn't working even after maintenance came in to repair it. Also in the hot weather it would have been nice to have AC in living room although opening up all the doors and windows gave a pretty good breeze when a breeze was available. The sofa/bed was very comfortable.

Milwaukie, WIExcellent condo on O'ahu's north coast
Left on 04/13/2008 for a stay in December 2007
The unit had apparently been recently remodeled and was in pristine condition. The golf course view was not quite as dramatic as an ocean view, but quite pleasant nonetheless. The property is close to many very nice beaches, as well as the excellent Audubon Center, good restaurants and shopping. Parking is a few feet from the unit for easy packing/unpacking. Reasonably priced by Hawai'i standards.
