We have enjoyed staying at Kuilima for a few years. I especially love the beautiful gardens that surround this complex of well keeped townhomes. The scent of all the different plumerias, the numerous gardenias and the sound of the birds and hawaiian breezes in the palms are magical.

Marilyn the reservationist for turtle bay rentals was such a great help. I told her why we were wanting to stay. What she recommended gave such a great view and easy access to the golf course within minutes from the unit by walking. (unit 28) i"d recommend this unit to other friends and family, and look froward to renting this unit again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality and beautiful unit.

We have stayed at the Estates at Turtle Bay several times--it has become our favorite place to stay on Oahu. We have family on North Shore, and it is convenient to Laie, where we do most of our gatherings. Recently, we were scheduled to stay there while attending the funeral of a dear cousin who had passed away. The morning we were to leave Oregon, we received the awful news that our 20 day old grandson had died of apparent SIDS in Salt Lake City. Instead of flying to Hawaii, we immediately drove to Utah to attend that funeral and grieve with our family. In the chaos, I forgot to call the Estates to tell them we weren't coming that day. I remembered the next day, and they were very compassionate and kind, and informed me we would receive a full refund. I was very surprised and very grateful. We highly recommend them for this reason, and others including reasonable price, quality of lodgings, and many amenities. Thanks to them, we saw someone doing something good and kind at a very difficult time for us. It is a beautiful place.

We loved our stay at Turtle Bay 28 west. I don't know how the other condos looked but this one was so beautifully decorated, so clean, kitchened wonderfully stocked (spices, tons of tools to cook with, blender, mixing bowls, etc.) Our children loved having their own beds in the loft above. AC units were great to have when it became a little hot. The pool in the unit was just feet from us. The walking distance to the beach wasn't too far, definitely less than a mile. Beautiful view of the golf course while you eat breakfast/dinner. You can use the turtle beach, so great for kids and for snorkeling. So nice to be away from the busy city and yet not too isolated. We'd love to stay here again. We left our beach toys (bucket, shovel, etc) hopefully that will help others. Thanks for a great Oahu stay!

The location was convenient for North Shore activities. I've read several reviews regarding ant infestations at other Turtle Bay condos, but this unit was scrupulously clean. Our stay was very pleasant. The space comfortably accommodated my wife and two college-age girls. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend it to friends.

This was a great property close to the pool without having to hear the pool. Also the golf course was pretty to look at while on the balcony. Also the beach was close enough to walk to for a nice walk or easy to drive to also! Overall it was a great stay that was super fun!

United StatesSpacious Golf Course Condo
Left on 04/21/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My husband I recently stayed in Kuilima 28 West at the Turtle Bay Condos. While we really didn't need the two bedrooms and three bathrooms for us, it would be a super value for larger parties.
Having a loft prevents hearing overhead "footsteps" and gives an airy feel to the unit. There are two flatscreen TVs, each with a DVR recorder.....a big plus. The lanai is smaller than we are used to. However, it is furnished with a nice small table and a great chaisse lounge. The lanai is screened in so bugs don't invade the space. But,we prefer an open lanai so as not to feel so closed in. The bed was super comfortable and the flow through breezes divine! No need for A/C on this visit.
One of the 3 pools is just outside the unit. Each week one of the pools is designated "adults only", which is great!! However, during our stay this one wasn't "adults only" so we heard some squealing of children enjoying the pool. If that doesn't bother you, the pool is very convenient. However, if you don't want to hear children, you may consider this. The master bedroom is closest to the pool.
Overall the unit was furished well, very clean, and had a nice view of the golf course.Only negative was that it is supplied with "bare bones" supplies. We even had to buy our own salt and pepper. No plastic wrap, nice soaps, etc. Since this is rented by a property management service we new it wouldn't be supplied as a unit rented by an owner. our opinion there should have been basic kitchen condiments. -

We love the condo decoration very nice and practice, only the TV sets are kind of old, a small oven for sandwichs would be helpfull.
There is no one from the manegement at the property, some people that work there love to be rude, and simple say they dont work for you. Who they work for? If you rent a property I believe you earn some of the rights of the owner also.
But it is OK don't worry be happy -

Left on 09/18/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We have stayed at Turtle Bay in various condos many times over the past two years while we have been working on the Laie LDS Temple. Every time the properties have been great. This particular time were staying in Laie at another contractor's apartment but had to find another place at the last minute because some more of their workers showed up and they needed the space. I immediately drove to Kahuku and got this unit at 4 pm that day. Maralyn was very kind to stay a little late to wait for me. Since we rented at the last possible minute of the day, the unit was not spotless (it was very clean, though) but we understood and it suited our needs fine. The AC worked well enough to cool the loft down and everything was in good working condition. I would highly recommend staying here and really appreciate all the help that Susan and Maralyn have given us over the past two years as we've rented various units.

Comments for further action by the Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc.
1. I requested early check in as I am travelling w/ elderly parents and a small child. One parent is a stroke patient who tires easily and needed to rest. I was told to come back at 3 p.m. I would have liked to have been accomodated with this request.
2. The front screen door's deadbolt wouldn't open. Jammed. As a result, we were locked inside the condo. Friendly staff freed us eventually.
3. A working deadbolt on the front door is essential. The current deadbolt doesn't work at all.
The only locking mechanism on the front door is a simple one. I didn't feel safe.
4. My elderly father slipped and fell in the bathtub as no bath mats were in the condo unit. A bath mat would have prevented him from slipping and falling. We were provided with bath mats the following day. Bath mats should be kept in the unit to prevent slipping and falling.
5. An electric kettle would be preferable. The stove kettle is dangerous. Easy to burn oneself using this type of kettle as the hot water splashes out.
Positive comments:
1. Good location.
Be sure to try fruit from nearby fruit stands, and fresh shrimp from the shrimp trucks. I recommend the coconut shrimp from Tony's.
Close to beautiful beaches.
Two Foodland stores nearby.
2. Friendly staff available if you need maintenance work done. He fixed the bathroom shower head in the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom on the first floor, as well as the jammed deadbolt so we could leave the condo unit.
3. Quiet.
(except for the lawnmowers that started at 5:30am, it was very quiet).
4. Lovely golf course view.
5. Very handy to have washer and dryer in the condo unit.
6. Nice to have free internet connection.
7. Beach toys, body boards, beach towels and umbrella for use. Thanks! -

The condo was in great condition and the kitchen was fully equiped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the upgraded kitchen. Since we have stayed in these condos before, we were surprised and annoyed that the garbage trucks arrived every morning at 5am and woke everyone up. They normally came twice a week, so I'm not sure why all of a sudden they were there daily. We plan to arrive on a different month next time.

Kailua, HIGreat property but hard beds!
Left on 12/17/2008 for a stay in November 2008
Overall our entire stay at this property was great! However my only complaint would have to be how uncomfortable the beds were. Both beds were king size which was one of the reasons for renting this particular property but they were so hard. All in all we couldn't ask for more from the property (i.e. anything we needed was provided) and would rent this same property again however next time we will know to bring some extra padding for the bedding in order to get a good night sleep!

sparked when I tried to plug it in. When I checked out on a Sunday the office was closed and no one to help you. We had a family reunion and many of the other units a/c failed and were not fixed, couple of reservations were cancelled and had to stay at other units farther away than had originally planned. My unit was nice, but the other units were not well maintained, electrical, a/c units failed, all the a/c units were too small. For the money, it was not worth the saving. I will spend the money for a better maintained place to stay.

Great location the pool is out back, the beach is a short walk up the street, a major grocery store is a short drive and there is a restaurant to the side of you at the golf coarse. The condo was very spacious, clean, and well kept. Any item you may not of been able the pack for the beach or pool you can find in the closet. Large washer/dryer, internet, tv. We were only there for a few days and had more then we needed!

The only thing we didn't really like was the fact that we battle ants during our whole stay. They were on the counters, on the floor, on the wall, under the sink--everywhere! This little problem really needs to get fixed.
