Stittsville, Ontario, CanadaPleasant stay at 46 East
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Overall, this was a very good experience with excellent proximity to beaches, pools and other points of interest. The condo was well furnished with only a couple of minor shortfalls. The screened lanai was perfect for eating meals, drinks, etc and the WiFi was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and responded immediately to repair running toilets and a missing doorstop. Here are a few suggestions to make this condo even better:
replace the rusty fridge immediately;
repair the dishwasher;
provide a kettle;
provide a chest of drawers in the loft; and
repaint the bathroom.
Thanks for a great stay! -

The property management company was great. Four of us were planning to travel together but flights were delayed so 2 of the group arrived before me. When the company heard what had happened they were wonderful with letting the other two into the condo. The condo itself was very clean, plenty of towels and the beds were not the most comfortable but they were ok. The furnishings were all very outdated. The refrigerator had rust all over it and the dishwasher was broken. The area was beautiful so I would stay in the estates again but not that condo and I would want to know much more about the condo I chose.

Perfect place for a family of 4-6. Roomy space with enough of everything to live there for a week. Perhaps the only setback was when the small propane tank ran out on the grill but that was no biggy. We just bought one down the road. Thanks for the stay!

Honolulu, HI, United StatesSpacious but with lots of drawbacks
Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Pros:
Large unit listed as 1 BR w/ loft. Essentially, 2BR so if you're a family, it allows for ample space and for everyone to have their own private space. We were a fam of 5, 2 adults, 3 elementary school kids so the loft was a nice space for them.
Covered lanai which was screened provided a nice outdoor space allowing for good cross breeze and no bugs.Of course, having a full kitchen and washer/dryer are huge pluses for a family going to the beach/pool and hiking.
Cons:
OLD. Exterior of refrigerator was rusting badly Paint is peeling in hallway bathroom. Loft was musty and strong acrid smell. Loft beds were very musty smelling. Liner on under part of the bed was coming off so it was difficult to see what was under there...Not sure if the acrid odor was from poor ventilation or urine. We found a used diaper under the bed in the master bedroom (discovered this only after we were doing our final run through when checking out).
Half of the glasses and dishes in the cupboard were dirty... not sure if this was due to dishwasher or what. A few of the cooking utensils had melted cheese and gunk on it.
Coffee filters NOT provided!!! Geez, $2 for a package 100+ at the superette 10 mins away... they can't provide you with some for your stay?
We arrived on a weekend so we had to deal w/ the emergency dispatch who was rather inept. The gate entry code did not work and we were given a gate fob for the wrong gate. Since it was the weekend, this could not b rectified until Monday. Dispatch said she reset the code to allow entry but it never worked.
We paid $145/night. At $100-110, it would have been a better value. This condo was economy at best (reminded me of a motel, actually) so, you have to weigh the space it provided w/ all of the negatives. -

We had a great time and would recommend Turtle Bay 046 East to our friends and family. The interior of the unit needed a coat of paint, but other than that it was a great place to stay. Excellent location, very nice grounds, and an outstanding staff. Although the unit did not have a view of the ocean, we certainly couldn't complain considering it is right on the golf course! We had a great time and would definitely stay at Turtle Bay 046 again.

My family and I were staying on Oahu to visit relatives in Kaneohe, and wanted to take a side trip to the North Shore. We two parents, two grandparents and three kids. This property served just fine, despite the low ranking (one star) by management. The paint was peeling in places and the refrigerator was very old, but otherwise the place was in acceptable condition. It might not be the right place for your dream vacation in Hawaii, but it was fine for us for a couple of days.

Left on 12/06/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Our stay at Turtle Bay was pleasant overall. Although the room had older furniture/appliances, it was all clean and there was plenty of pots/pans. There were a few beach toys in the room for us to use, which was nice especially because there were 2 kids in our group. An AC in the room or an extra table fan would've been nice - it felt a little too warm in the upstairs loft, with just a ceiling fan.

GOOD- Great location. Mostly quiet. Good view. Easy check in. Spacious. All the necessities. Clean bathrooms and kitchen. Relaxing stay. Good value. Had a great time. Clean pool.
Not so good- Musty smell in the loft. There was black residue/mold in the coffee maker. (I cleaned most of it.) There was a puff of lint when I took my clothes out of the dryer. Dirty lint catcher? Dim lighting. -

Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Torn, shredded and burnt draperies, paint peeling from walls in every room, refer rusted, window frames rusted, filthy and gross furniture. Stayed one night only because we were forced to because of timing, moved to another condo the next day. General cleanliness was satisfactory but as the title states, WORST condo EVER!

Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We had a great time staying up at Turtle Bay. A very reasonable rate for the location. A great condo with everything that we needed. The only suggestion for improvement is that the water heater must be very small because we could not get 2 warm showers before the hot water ran out. I would stay here again as it is a great condo in a great location!

cupertino, ca, United StatesDisappointed
Left on 08/15/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Driving around Turtle Bay, they surroundings were so beautiful. However, when we got to the condo, it was so hot. There was only one AC which was placed in the masters bedroom. Upstairs had very poor lighting and no AC or windows. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and geckos and lizards in the bedrooms. The fan on the second floor which was attached to the ceiling (pullcord) did not even work as a fan. There was no wind or any type of breeze. It was impossible to stay upstairs. The kitchen was also infested with ants. My family was so disappointed. However, Turtle Bay is a really beautiful place, and I do recommend it for vacation.

We stay at turtle bay condos once a year and it seems like it is getting worse. The rooms was so dirty the bathroom was filthy. Also was told had a upstairs bathroom so I booked the room. I am 5 months pregnant and it was an inconvienence for me.
Overall it was a very poor stay. Best thing was the pool the only thing my kids enjoyed. -

Front landing full of lizard poop.

Ewa Beach, HIGet Ripped Off At Turtle Bay Estates!
Left on 07/30/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We were not informed that the property would be under construction during our stay. We found out when we got there by a notice posted on the front door. It was very, very noisy with loud hammering on the walls waking us up! Very, very unprofessional of the office staff! We know the economy is bad and they want to fill vacancies, but this is just too much! Also, the loft had no ventilation. No one could be up there due to the heat. One little ceiling fan that did nothing to circulate the air.

Left on 07/24/2009 for a stay in July 2009
1) First, four of my adult companions did not stay on the second floor due to huge cockroaches swarm between sheets. As a result, they immediately left the condo and went to Honolulu to stay for the rest of our vacation. I ended shouldering all the rental expenses.
2) The refrigerator is so full of mold especially the door seals.
3) The place is so dusty with dried mud spots on the floor.
4) I was charged $125 for keys that Maralyn claims she did not received. I replied back to her and attached a picture where I dropped the 3 sets of keys. She said that it was the right building to drop the keys and yet denied that the keys were received. Maralyn stated that they are too busy in the office to look for the missing keys. I was totally shocked with the customer service I received. Is it because I am a former customer and have already paid my rent? If she were too busy, it seems she is only busy with incoming customers and doesn't have 5 minutes of her time to check for the keys. On my first call, I was given the phone number of the next door office condo to ask if they got the keys, instead I was given the phone number of the property manager to contact, but still to no success after several frustrating follow ups. This is like a nightmare to me, begging for assistance but with no response. My wife and I visits Oahu twice a year for vacation and may return there again next time, unfortunately my bad experience tells me not to return anymore. And does she realize that "word of mouth" is the best way to advertise or can be the contrary? -
Waianae, HIBeautiful unit but flawed ventilation in loft area.
Left on 05/27/2009 for a stay in May 2009
The condo was comfortably furnished and the kitchen was fully loaded with everything we needed. The unit itself was very, very hot and the loft was rendered unuseable due to the heat. The loft ceiling fan was in poor shape (falling apart with annoying sounds) and did nothing to cool off the loft. No ventilation in the loft area with the exception of one tiny window. First floor bedroom was lovely and had a/c but windows and door not sealed properly so a/c was unable to cool room off completely. Aside from the oppressive heat in the loft area the unit was beautiful and the setting lovely. Would recommend a/c or better fans in loft area.

The location of the condo was great. We enjoyed the North Shores and had fun on the beaches. The condo itself was all right but not great. Bugs in the unit were a problem. If you are coming as a group, I would not recommend the Turtle Bay Estates, especially the east side. They enforced a quiet rule at all times and did not allow groups of more than 15 to gather regardless of time of day. They locked the pool areas so that we could not use them as a group, which was frustrating. If you are looking for a quiet, restful break then these units might be the place for you.

The condo's air conditioner did not work properly and the first night was absolutely miserable. The emergency contact that was on the key chain was for some person who could not do anything to accomodate our unfortunate situation. My husband had to go to the main office after speaking to an associate who was able to accomodate us into a new unit

The air conditioner in the bedroom was broken. There is no ceiling fan and the condo is very hot. There were two table top fans and one did not work. The bathroom door downstairs is difficult to open and close. There were too many conditions that made the stay less than perfect.
