Mission, BC, CanadaGreat stay at Turtle Bay!
Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Loved being on the North Shore. Way more relaxed and laid back than being in the city. Shore break was too big at many of the beaches for the kids to play safely, except the beach at turtle bay. Nice area to snorkel, sun tan, eat, etc.
The condo is nice. Not brand new, but good condition for its age. The pool was nice and clean. Not crowded and had a big grill to BBQ on.
We made plenty of day trips to other parts of Oahu. Coming home to the NS each night was easy. If you drive about 30 mins south east on the Kam Hwy, eat at the Crouching Lion. Good home cooked food and nice staff.
Will recommend to others for sure. Aloha! -

My family came for our wedding so we had our parents and family stay at this unit while my new wife and i stay at another unit.Overall it was a very modern, clean and comfortable unit especially with the kitchen where we cooked alot and had ono meals for the family. Location was great as its one of the very first units as you enter thru the gate. However we encountered a problem when the mirror on the ground floor bathroom when it came off which caused it to crack, however the management was very professional and helpful when we advised them about it and came to find out that the product it self was poor and they thanked us for advising them so that they can take the necessary steps to correct and fix issues.

Great location and very nice rental. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only thing I would suggested is adding more couches in the sitting area. There was only one couch and it wasn't comfortable. And they need to fix the upstairs bedroom DVD player on the tv. Other than that it was perfect!

We came to Turtle Bay for a family wedding. Our group had several condo's rented out. Our only complaint were the kitchen chairs. They were very uncomfortable, you kept sliding off of the them. A full size ironing board would have made things easier too. Other than that, we absolutley enjoyed are stay. We had a party of 6 and were very comfortable. Great kitchen with all the utensils needed to prepare meals. Grounds, activities, location were spot on. Great beaches nearby.

Eatonville, wa, United StatesTurt;le Bay 158 West condo
Left on 06/29/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Excellent location if you want to stay on the North Shore. Renters of this unit have access to a very nice small private beach next to the Turtle Bay resort. Pools on site are older and deep (8 feet) and wrap around a small portico and if standing on one end, you cannot see the other. Pools are not real conducive to young children, but with so many beaches, not a necessity. There is no hot tub which was a negative for me. Grocery prices at nearby store run 50% to 100% higher than the mainland, so shop at the Costco in Downtown Honolulu where the prices match those at home. Condo was roomy, updated, and clean. Large refrigerator, glass top stove, micro, and dw made for easy meals which saved us lots of money. Tile floors thru out the lower kit/dr/lr which made clean up easy. Hot water tanks in these units are small so no long hot showers. Within 5 or 6 minutes to BYU-H, LDS Temple, and Polynesian Culture Center. Lots of different beaches within minutes. For those looking to save money, purchase a cooler in Honolulu to pack lunches and drinks. A bottle of water runs over $2.00. I would highly recommend this unit to all.

The condo was very clean, and had plenty of room for 5 adults, and could of easily fit a sixth on the second twin bed. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pot & pans. The washer and dryer were very nice, allowed us to pack less cloths. Seen one cockroach and a few ants, which was better than what i expected from reading reviews about hawaii. Would recommend this unit to anyone. Only complaints would be, we thought we would be closer to the beach and the hot water didnt last long at all. Also plan on driving alot if you plan on going anywhere, we liked the out of the way location. Try Matsumoto shaved ice, its not far down the road, also the Polynesian Cultural is about 10 minutes away, plan to spend all day there though.

Left on 04/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
All went well from the Sunday late entry to the checkout on the last day. Only a couple of issues came up. We needed to buy a can opener and some paper towels and toilet paper for the unit. Also, we noticed some flaking paint inside the unit and a couple of missing pieces and broken wood trim that were somewhat unsightly.
Otherwise a very nice unit. -

Left on 10/22/2011 for a stay in October 2011
After reading the reeviews online, we were looking forward to spending the last five days of our Hawaii vacation at Turtle Bay unit 158. Upon our arrival, the keys were located quickly and the unit was easy to find. We had noticed how some of the bottom of the doors were damaged, chipping or just in need of replacing. The unit was decorated nicely but in need of a good cleaning. Heavy dust on many of the lamps, silk plants, fans throughout, almost grimy.the kitchen table was lovely yet has streaks that make it look dirty and could be be removed with a nylon scrubber. We were very mindful of keeping all food in the refrigerator however, the presence of many tiny ants was evident even with a couple of geckos hanging around. We realize being in a tropical environment the challenges must be great and hope management is diligent in spraying prior to each tenants stay. The use of the washer/dryer was valuable. Management might consider having a hairdryer available as well. We found that we were conveniently located near several restaurants, the best one being Lei Leis on the golf course! Great service, great food! The beach was lovely and one
morning we were fortunate to find ourselves swimming and snorkeling with a few seals!
If not for the upkeep/cleanliness, I would have raved about this place and booked our next stay here. -

We stayed in #158 for two nights. upon arrival it was clear that this unit had not been rented in quite a while. It smelled musky we figured that opening a few windows things would freshen up, not the case. It was very dirty! I mean sticky counter top dirty base board dirty. and ants not a few an entire colony. We also had the misfortune to encounter the local roach experience. Our Friend was greeted the first morning to a roach we named "Charlie" We all agreed that we were on a tropical island and critters do happen. Unfortunately that evening my husband awoke with a jolt to find a friend of "Charlies" crawling on his head. Needless to say we didn't sleep a wink the rest of that evening and called the property management company 1st thing in the morning they quickly moved us to a roach free clean room,#161. Marilyn at the property mgmt co was great and apologetic! Although sleeping was a challenge for the remainder of the trip we were very pleased with the new unit and the overall property was nice.

Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Loved the condo. Very clean. However, there was not enough hot water for even one shower. Also, the downstairs bathroom flooded while we were out due to fitting under the sink for the hot water. Had to turn it off until it was fixed. As this was a Sat., we knew it couldn't be fixed until Mon. Plumber came out & did so on Monday. By the looks of the wall under the sink, they have had problems before. Main concern: condos 159 & 160 were occupied from Fri. p.m till Sun. by a youth band camp. At least 30 altogether. They kept us up until 12:30 Fri.& Sat. Called the manager Sat. a.m.-she had me call security-they told me to call Sat. pm if there were more problems. On both nights, we asked the chaparones twice to quiet them down. Sat. we called Security twice-never did see them respond. I thought all the condos would have the same rules. Evidently not.

Condos 159 and 160 are not managed by us, and had they been, the residents would have been persuaded to follow the property rules.

Our condo was very clean and had all the essentials we needed and didn't have to go out and buy, such as laundry soap, cooking spices, dish soap, BBQ, plastic baggies, etc. It was very comfortable living space for a family of five. The pool was clean and close by and a great spot for an evening swim after a day at the beach.

Had a wonderful stay at Turtle Bay Estates. Took the whole family and had adjoining units which made it just great, especially with young ones. Could have used more bath towels especially with swimming, etc. Did give some comments to the rental company so I think I'm repeating myself here. Enjoyed our stay.

what one condo didn't have the other one did..Did our best to keep things straight but if anything is missing check condo # 162 west. Loved the open floor plan and tile in 158 that's where we did most of the cooking, easy cleanup. Most important we had a 9 member first time mixed parent/grandparent vacation and we are all still alive & talking!!! Condos were great and would recomend you to anyone I know going to Hawaii and not wanting the city

Why is there a $130 cleaning charge added to the rental fee? When I stay in a hotel the room rate includes the maid service. Is this just another way to hide a rip off?

The place was great especially for a group of people. We walked to Turtle Bay resort if we didn't need to drive and have quick access to a mellow beach resort with a bar on the beach and other amenities. I was with friends from Europe and they were impressed with our accommodation (because we were able to cook if we want to or eat out if needed) including the secluded feeling of the condo. A perfect getaway from city life of the mainland. I've stayed at Turtle Bay condos since 2000. Worth the price, location, and ambiance.

The property was beautiful. The only problem I had that we found 2-3 roaches. It was the flying roaches, and I hate roaches. Some of the sheets were stained. But the overall stay was great, very relaxing. We had a bridal shower at the West Pavilion and it was so much fun. It was clean and it was a very serene and quiet place. Thanks!

this unit was one we moved into after the first one was a terrible disappointment and really a dump in comparison to website info. So, I was hit w/ extra fees and feel that i was taken advantage of in that false advertising caused me to pick 18 west which was really not up to par. then, i was hit w/ 2 cleaning fees. i have a timeshare which we used for part of the stay. Then, we traveled to Turtle Bay, i was disappointed in the fees i was charged to get a unit of comparable quality to the timeshare. it just feels like i was taken advantage of and charged more than should've been.

My only dislike was the dryer vent. It vented right into the living area. This made the condo very hot especially at night. The loft area was almost unbearable. We ended up using the A/C more than we normally would have.

Left on 04/29/2008 for a stay in August 2007
I had my wedding at the Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii. With many guests traveling from the East Coast we decided to rent a couple condos to make it more convenient for everyone. The condos were absolutely great. Several friends and family members got to share the condos which allowed for a cheaper option but more importantly it made the vacation a lot more fun. I would definitely recommend these condos to anyone traveling to Oahu. The location was perfect, the condos were clean and this made for an unforgettable vacation.
