Situated on the ground floor among a lovely tropical garden this 1 bedroom 1 bath unit is a perfect place for a quiet getaway. Decorated in a nice tropical decor guests can enjoy such amenities as, a fully stocked kitchen, tiled flooring, washer and dryer, window A/C, queen sized bed in the master room and a nice sofa sleeper in the living area, TV and entertainment center.

Kona Makai is a very comfortable, affordable, and beautiful condo complex. It is set back from alii Drive, so you avoid the traffic noise, and all units overlook a beautiful, central garden area, open to the ocean on one side (perfect for watching sunsets). The complex has a pool and hottub and a barbecue area. Our unit (#5106) was clean and well-furnished.

We had stayed at the Kona Makai before and the condo was very dirty. Of course we didn't rent through Sunquest at that time. This time was much better. The complex is very well kept. The only thing we didn't like was our lanai was in full sun most of the day and since the temperature was in the 80's us Canadians couldn't take the heat. The other side of the complex would be great

Nice place to stay. Very well equipped and convenient. The amenities in the location were good--great bbqs, ping pong table, pool etc. Nicely maintained. Our unit had some problems with plumbing--slow draining of the sink and bath. The front door handle fell off on our first night there but was fixed (in two visits) by an efficient repairman.
