My wife and I were lucky enough to receive a gift of a one week stay, at Sea Village, as an anniversary present. Sea Village, if you’re not aware of it, is a Vacation International time share property. The rooms are neat and clean, the grounds are well maintained and the views are to die for. As was stated in previous reviewer’s notes, the rooms are not air conditioned. There are large ceiling fans in each room, but with temps in the high 80’s and the humidity at 80%, it takes a little getting used to. Wild mongoose, Java Sparrow and geckos roam the grounds among the various native plants. The four large Barbeques, Weber, are on a first come first serve basis. Everyone on the staff was very helpful and courteous. A short drive up ali’i Drive and you’re in downtown Kailua-Kona. The property is also centrally located to all major shopping centers, as well as Costco, Safeway and Walmart. If I had to stay on The Big Island again, I’d stay here. The old fashion charm and non-touristy style gave me a taste of the “real” local Hawaii.

Dallas, OregonA wonderful escape to the tropics!
Left on 05/05/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Everything was very good with how the unit was cleaned, decorated, furnished, remodeled, etc., and our serivce from Sunquest was excellent. We did have noisy neighbors above us for a couple of days but they moved on. Also, this particular unit sits back further than the one we previously rented---still had a beautiful view, just not quite as panoramic as the unit we had prevously. We love Sea Village---it's "just right" for us.
Thanks, see you again next year.

This was our second stay at Sea Village through SunQuest. This unit was just advertised and the check in and check out process was easy. SunQuest is quite accomadating and easy to work with. We will use them again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sea Village with an ocean view and the lovely sound of the waves hitting the rocks. It was located in an easy to access activities and shopping.

This review is for Unit #4202; however, we also stayed in Unit #4114 for the first 10 days of our hi vacation. Unit #4114 was by far the most comfortable for 4 people and a beautiful unit.
For the size of Unit #4202, it appears that the owners left far too many plastic tubs of personal items in the closets, which made it hard to utilize the closets for hanging clothes and storing suitcases - since the rooms were too small to leave the empty suitcases outside of the closets. Fortunately, we only were at #4202 for 4 days (since the first unit #4114 was booked during the last 4 days of our stay in hi); but we made the best of it.
Unit #4114 was very roomy, comfortable, clean, and very relaxing. We are very happy to have been able to rent this unit for the first 10 days of our stay. It was unfortunate that it wasn't available for the last 4 days.
However, overall, the Sea Village property is a beautiful and a very enjoyable one; and, we would highly recommend it to our friends, as well as, stay here again on a future trip to the Big Island. As a matter of fact, we stayed at this property in 1999 for 10 days, and enjoyed it so much that we returned to it on our trip this year. The staff at Sun Quest is wonderful to work with, accommodating, and made us feel right at home. Thank you again. Mahalo!
