Everything is very great and the owners do a great job in setting you up (local favorites, things to see, ...). Unit is very well appointed, functional, and they provide a whole bunch of odds and ends that help make your stay fun (cooler, towels, crib, high chair, condiments, ...).
We overlooked that there was no aC however, with all of the ceiling fans we didn't really miss it.
On site pool and tennis courts are handy.
Grocery store, small fast food places, all really close.
Town not too far away but not much there anyway.
Highly recommended. -

My husband and I had a chance to get away to Hawaii without kids! With that said it was time for quiet and clean. That is exactly what we got. The condo was perfect for 2. I loved you could hear the ocean from our windows and yet the community was quiet. We were a hop skip and "run" away from the beaches and even town. There was every amenity that we needed within the condo. We were meeting our other family members that stayed in another community of condos and they came over to check out our area and they were so impressed with everything we had. We felt very taken care and of from before we even arrived to the day we left. Sandy was super helpful for us not knowing the island and sent ideas of things to do and even where to rent our car from!!! Overall a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back and this time with our kids!!!

This is an ideal place to stay. We walked to the tide pools on the beach next door and always saw turtles and fish. There are beach chairs left there and we were usually alone, the whole beach to ourselves! The condo itself is immaculate, comfortable beds, quiet and relaxing. Sandy is very responsive and has an excellent maintenance woman who came the very next day when I mentioned a small issue with the window louver! The shopping center is only a mile away but you feel like you are miles and miles away from the city and crowds. Sandy even had a box of reef shoes, a beach ball, boogie boards for us to use.

Kona is our favorite place to visit and Unit 59 at the Keauhou Surf and Racket Club is our favorite place to stay ( 3 times so far). The unit is clean, well stocked, and keep in excellent condition. It's close to the pool for swimming, it's close to the ocean for watching the sunset, and it's close to the grocery store for any item you may have forgotten. The complex is quiet and the grounds are kept in excellent shape. The owners are timely, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

We stayed 10 days in the vacation rental which was tastefully decorated in a hawaiian motif. The property is located in a great location, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The unit has most of the amenities you would have in your home, as well as, equipment for snorkeling and lounging on the beach. We particulary enjoyed the guides placed in the unit describing the various trees, flowers, birds and sites to visit. Unfortunately, we did experience a couple of maintenance issues but they were resolved quickly after contacting the owner who followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Sandy is a wonderful owner to work with, and is eager for folks to enjoy their stay at her condo. The condo is in quick walking distance to the pool, and the complex is near the snorkeling beach, tide pools, and the all important grocery store! I recommend staying at Townhouse #59. We stayed two years in a row and are anxious to get back to Kona again.

We are experienced travellers and highly recommend this unit in Kailua-Kona where our family of four vacationed over the Xmas period. Our family really enjoyed the tennis and pool facilities located adjacent to this unit. Another bonus was the great snorkelling located less than a 5-minute walk down the road. The unit was very clean and well maintained.
Kudos to Sandy who was particularly helpful in handling all of our queries and delivering everything, as advertised.

Everything here was wonderful. Even when we had a mishap no fault of the owners they contacted someone and had the problem solved quickly. We had 2 units in the area and needed additional space for family. It was clean and comfortable, an easy walk to the pool and the other units and made for a wonderful experience. I wish I could say when I will have the opportunity to visit the Island again but when I do I would not hesitate to stay here again.

My family and I stayed here in June of 2009 and it was the *perfect* getaway from our busy lives. Our little one even started crawling at this house! The location is ideal, the house and service are both outstanding and it even has a pool and grill right out back. Every morning we awoke with huge smiles and at night we slept to the sound of ocean waves. I highly recommend this to any potential travelers t the Big Island over all the overpriced resorts. Just hope I can get a spot when we have a chance to go back!

My wife Gail and I used the facility on our last trip together before Gail's death in July of 2008. We had a very nice time and the facility was very good in size, location and amenities.
It will always hold a special significance for me because Gail loved sunshine and water and it was a good trip in many ways. It was our last trip of many together over our 57 years of marriage. I plan on using the unit again in the near future, -

The Condo is well furnished and up to date. It is quiet, clean and convenient to the pool area. We loved the layout of the unit and 2 baths were a definite plus. We would come back again and again and again.

We have had several stays at this condo, and despite being a little further from town, it was a great place to stay, and worked out fantastic for us. It had a rreat pool, close to Magic Sands beach, and service was excellent. The kitchen was really well stocked, and there was even kids swim toys and water shoes !!!
It was also part of the winning formula for Craig to win the Ironman World Championships.
Watching the spinner dolphins swim by at dusk, and the turtles from your window are incredible experiences !!!

The most wonderful vacation I've ever had (and I've had many). Fantastic weather and a comfortable and beautiful site. It was convenient to amenities such as stores, restaurants etc. I would return tomorrow if it wasn't so far (11 hour flight from atlanta) The condo was clean and the availability of Wi/Fi made it great for making phone calls on Skype; I hope to return.

It is across the private road from the water so we could always hear the surf . Very close to tennis courts and pool, nice ocean-side path, good snorkeling in walking distance - what more could you want? Nicely maintained and reasonably priced for 2 bedroom. Second bedroom a bit small for two couples. Nicely stocked kitchen.

Keauhou Surf and Racket Club is our favorite complex and after our 12 day vacation last winter, Sandy's unit is tops on our list of units to call on for availability. The condo has a great layout, is in superior shape, and Sandy is pleasure to do business with.

This condo was the first we have ever reserved over the Internet, so at first we were a little nervous. Being able to deal directly with Sandy the condo owner was very reassuring, as she was friendly, very helpful and accommodating.
When we arrived we couldn't believe our luck. The condo was exactly like the photos we'd seen and there was litterally everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable: from a blender to make our smoothies in the morning, to the barbecue pit right out back and of course, the pool, which was a highlight for our 6 and 8 year old boys (even after a day in the ocean)!
We loved the fact that after a day of sight seeing, we could come home, put our feet up, send the kids to their own bedrooms and have an evening to ourselves.
I especially appreciated Sandy's binder with all sorts of handy information about things to do, where to do your groceries (Costco!), etc. She even recommended a travel book, which I bought, and it was like having our own personal tour guide.
These little touches made this condo a real treat. We all talk about the day we'll return to Hawaii. And we'd choose Sandy's on Big Island in a heartbeat.
