Calgary, Alberta, Canadatropical vacaton
Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The unit was in excellent location. One of our favourite locations in Kona. The unit was only surface clean no corners. Closets too full of owners STUFF (old tv and microwave, old glass light fixtures. All this should be
removed to make room for guests clothing. More lanai furniture, like
lounge chairs. Office staff was very pleasant and helpful. -

This unit has one of the most magnificent views on the island and it can be hard to tear oneself away from the lanai and go see the sights.
The location is quiet and the unit is nicely appointed. It's our second stay there and it feels like home. -

Fox Point, WI, United StatesLava Rocks!
Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Unit 2-101 is a nice oceanfront unit with a spectacular view of waves crashing into the lava shore.
Negatives:
^Lanai furniture should be updated
^King size rattan bed squeaks and creaks so bad that it wakes you up
^The bedding on the king bed needs freshening/replaceement
^Throw out large frying pans and buy new ones
^Add a little art work......the walls are barren
^We need cleaning supplies-bucket, cleaner and rags to protect the owners investment
Positives:
^Tile floors were nice and easily swept
^Area rugs were new but couldn't be vacuumed because the vacuum needs repair
^ Living room furniture nice as well as comfortable
^TV nice and Huge!
^Washer and dryer new and user friendly
^Bathrooms and kitchen were nice and clean -

Portland, OR, United StatesNice condo's, but a few too many pool rules
Left on 07/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Overall the condo. experience was very nice with great views from the lanai and spacious accommodations. There are a few points that could use some work however.
We did have a refrigerator die early in our stay, and had some food spoil as the property manager didn't (or couldn't?) provide a fix very quickly (10 hours after it was initially reported). With several calls, they finally brought a cooler with a bit of ice which had to last over two days. They did not offer to replenish the ice, which was added work for us to undertake to keep a full fridge of items cool for over two days.
With respect to the pool, it would be more clear if the advertisements for the condo. indicated kids simply were not allowed. There were so many rules to follow regarding volume, no throwing of toys and the like, we simply didn't go back to the pool with our kids (ages 5 to 11). Vacation is supposed to be fun, who needs a pool manager yelling at their kids, eh?Also, the chlorine levels used at the pool were very high in comparison even to city swimming pools (get a test kit and use it!) and caused reactions for both of my kids, as well as my nephew.
Lastly, the condo. could do more to provide recycling for tenants, as they only collected HI deposit items. Everything else went in the trash unless you took it to the transfer facility (by the police station on your way to the airport) yourself. Better than nothing, but visiting Hawaii would feel better if visitors weren't creating mountains of trash to leave behind.
Overall a nice value, but some room for improvement. -

South Prairie, WA, United StatesA great vacation location
Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in May 2012
From the moment we walked in the door we knew we had made the right decision when we booked unit 2101. it was spacious, nicely furnished and the kitchen well stocked with cookware and dishes. The view was fantastic with the ocean only about 20 feet away. The peace and quiet provided by being a little remote form town was also well appreciated. The lack of a beach on the property was nicely offset by the tidal pools where it was fun to watch the fish and turtles only a few feet away from your toes. From the start of the booking process til the time we drove out the gate for the last time our experiences will bring us back to Kona and the surf & Racquet on a future visit.

Aptos, CA, United StatesGreat Condo, Perfect Location!
Left on 05/16/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We loved everything about this condo! If you are looking for granite counter tops and fancy bathrooms, it may not be your place - it has not been updated. But the ocean front location is totally beautiful, the lanai is wonderful, the furniture and beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, all high quality. Shower heads in the bathrooms were great. Internet worked perfectly. This is a gated condo complex, which helped us feel safe. We loved that we were a 2 minute drive to a great shopping center with some good restaurants, Longs, groceries, etc. and a 2 minute drive to a great snorkel beach. Anna Marie at Prince Properties was very helpful and responsive, replied quickly to my emails, and even recommended a great Dolphin Swim company (Kona Ocean Adventures) who we used. We were very sad to leave the condo, and would come back in a heartbeat.

Mandeville, LA, United Statesa FEE to use my credit card??
Left on 04/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Property was comfortable and functional but was showing signs of wear and tear. Ceiling fans in bedrooms are covered with dust and operate poorly (wobble and squeak)-remember, no air conditioning. Carpet looks old and worn in spots. Some kitchen pans are warped and scratched. Property management company representative (Jamie) was excellent however the actual rental policies are ridiculous and would prevent me from ever renting from Prince Properties in the future. Charging a fee to make use of my VISA card simply serves two anger and inconvenience your customers. Requiring customers to pay a CSA vacation rental insurance fee ($49) instead of making use of the time-tested and worldwide accepted security deposit is a poor business policy as well. While both policies serve to fortify Prince's profit margin, this alone will prevent me from any future rental or possible referral. All that being said, the view of the Pacific ocean sunset from the lanai is simply "priceless". Mahalo

San Carlos, CA, United StatesNice location, average amenities
Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Location was great, very close to the ocean - super view, friendly staff. However, compared to another condo friends rented at the next building, the amenities were not that great. We traveled with an infant and had chosen a condo because of our need to do some cooking and preparing baby food. Super cheap kitchen utensils and pots, only salt & pepper, no trash bags but tons of old rusty kitchen machines like multiple can openers...Interesting collection. We ended up preparing dinner mostly at the condo our friends rented, which was exceptionally well kept, full kitchen, very tastefully decorated by the owners. Our curious baby found also the sticky, dirty hairdryer in the bathroom. This condo is suited better for people who do not want to use the kitchen that much. No beach toys, boards, definitely not prepared for kids. Also, there was no rack for drying of swimsuits or towels, we were recommended to put them on hangers and keep in the condo.

Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were very pleased with the grounds maintenance, very beautiful. Our first day we were approached by two separate individuals living in the complex quite rude and aggressive about the stray cats. A much different approach would have been appreciated. Our condo was less than clean. The carpet was filthy, the shower stall was dirty and mildewy. We are not sure the condo was vacuumed before our arrival as we found a prescription medication laying in the middle of the dining room floor area. Our lanai and view were stunning.

Kirkland, Wa, United States2-101 Surt and Racquet Condo
Left on 03/17/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were very satisfied with the location, outside property maintenance and general condition.
The actual condo 2-101 was well suited, corner bottom location. The inside carpet was stained. Many light bulbs were either missing or did not work. In the bedrooms, the wall switch did not activate a light in the room, making it difficult to enter the room initially. We plugged in a light to fix the problem.
The bathrooms could use a clothes hook on the door or wall.
There was no broiler pan to be found.
However, aside from these few suggestions, we were very happy with the accommodations.
We will return as soon as we can!! -
Algona, IA, United States2012 Big Island Paradise Condo
Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We enjoyed this condo unit very much mostly due to the fact that it is oceanfront with a great view of the ocean and wonderful sounds of the surf hitting the black lava rock all day and night long! Not many complaints about this unit at all and was very nice overall. We wished that the screen doors on all the patios were capable of being locked for security reasons, but kept all doors locked if we were out of the unit. We ended up buying a beach chair and umbrella and left them there for future visitors. Also surprised that staple grocery items were not in the kitchen! (not even salt, pepper, etc.) We had to purchase everything that we needed for cooking!
We've never had to do that in prior rentals. Also had to ask for beach towels, as there were none in the unit either.
We enjoyed sitting on the lanai very much with cool breezes always making it very comfortable.
Watching the sunset from the lanai was another plus to this unit. The furniture was very comfortable inside and the mastor king-size bed was very comfortable, too! Yes, we would stay here again! Enjoy!! -

The location was great and the condo was roomy. The main complaint would be that the Internet modem seemed to be dead, I reset it as well as the router with no success. It could have been cleaner, but all in all it was not too bad at all. We had a great time!

Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a very nice condo development on the rocky Kona shore. Convenient to the airport, beaches, shopping and the Kailua beachfront village. Day trips easy to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park, etc. Our unit was very nicely equipped and furnished and exactly as shown on the website. All arrangements worked like "clockwork"--directions, access procedures etc. A nice home away from home for visiting the Big Island.
When weather conditions at home threatened to delay our departure flight the Prince Properties staff was very helpful and even phoned us the next day to make sure we arrived home safely. Thank you! -

We loved the corner unit and the ocean front
property. The cleanliness could improve, the
carpet had stains on it and the mirrors didn't look like they had been cleaned. I believe we left the condo cleaner than when we arrived. I had called the management company to check on the availability of an early check in of which I never received a return call. I would recommend the property because of the location, it was furnished very nice and overall very pleasant. -

South Lake Tahoe, CABeautiful Condo
Left on 10/04/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My husband and I stayed at this condo for 3 weeks and could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. The condo for the most part was pretty clean and very well layed was also well equipped with all the kitchen necessities. I was concerned about not having air condition, but we would open up the sliders and turn on the fans and the place would cool off in no time. The view was amazing! We would have our coffee on the lani and watch the dolphins spin out of the water almost every morning. There is a cute little beach we would walk to and at low tide and it would be full of sea turtles!
The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels and linens ( there are also 4 beach towels as well )
I do wish however that they would supply beach chairs, beach umbrella and a cooler. Other than that, the condo was perfect and we would definitely stay here again! -

Left on 06/12/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed for 3 weeks and would stay here again. The location was superb, right on the ocean, listening to the waves roll in and the palm trees sway in the ocean breeze was very relaxing and tropical. The unit is a bit dated, kitchen and bathrooms could benefit from updating. The patio doors are all rusted from the salt spray and did not open or close very easily, some were frozen shut.
The grounds are lovely and well kept, the pool is small but a perfect size for a quick cool off. Sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset each evening is wonderful. There was no communication with the property manager during our stay. Mahalo. -

Left on 02/21/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This condo was in a magnificent location- right on the ocean, in a gated community. We had some issues with the unit itself. One of the glass panes in one of the sliding glass doors was loose and in danger of falling out. It took about one and a half weeks to get it fixed. There was mold on the shower liner and the stall shower had mold around the bottom. Mold in this environment is understandable since the climate is humid and there is no central air. General cleanliness could have been improved upon. The window screens in the bathrooms were in desperate need of cleaning. There were some other minor items but nothing to make us walk out. All this being said, we got up in the morning happy to have "another day in paradise". I would, with some cleaning and maintenance upkeep, recommend this condo to others.

Auburn, CAAbsolutely the most restful vacation we have ever experienced.
Left on 11/16/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We found the condo to become "Home" immediately. No matter what the outing we looked forward to returning to sit out on the porch and read. ( I did experience patio furniture envy from other condo's) We walked the golf course in the early morning hours, watched spinner dolphins and enjoyed the sound of the surf. The ammenities were renter apporpriate yet did not embrace a "guest" mentality. Such as the cooler's zipper was broken and the only beach chair was torn. I suggest the owners focus on the small things to enhance the overall stay. Clean the light/ fan fixtures, have a mattress pad that is not plastic on the back side, it makes for a hot restless sleep. Provide more than a one load box of detergent when you state the beach towels must be washed and any extra white towels used in a seperate load. Provide a useable ice chest and two beach chairs or matts. Tennis racquets with a can of balls would have been great.
We toured the island by plane early in the trip and believe it was money well spent. We then went to different parts of the island every other day with relaxing at the condo inbetween. We returned home refreshed! -
Newton, MALoved our stay!
Left on 09/24/2010 for a stay in September 2010
My husband and I loved our stay, however there were a couple things we were hoping might be better.
The sliding screen doors hardly worked so it made it difficult to use them, and with no AC, it got hot and buggy. The doors wouldn't open easily, and once open, would not close all the way. We made it work though and still found the place pleasant.
We also tried using the washer/dryer, but they kept repeating their cycles for some reason and would be washing/drying our clothes for hours. So glad we had use of them though!
The last thing we didn't like was lack of cable. There were a couple DVDs but we didn't really like them. Luckily we were out and about most of the time.
Things we loved: the layout, the scenery (minus the passers by), the location, the fully applianced kitchen, the service, and the bed. Super comfy!! -
San Ramon, CASURF & RAQUET 2101
Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010
My husband, myself and my 4 yr. old stayed here for 5 days too long. This place looks promising and the ocean front is definitly what sold us.
Since the bathrooms were not pictured and PP told me if it isn't great we usually won't post the pictures up. With that said I booked a new townhome for the remainder of our 10 day stay
above S&R; which I was very thankful for.
Upon entering the ocean front was amazing very pleased with location.
But thats all. Unpleasant smell, carpets were sticky very dirty in some corners and sides, the closets had an awful smell which made linens and towls smell bad so I had rewash everything.
The bed sheets were full of human hair and did not smell fresh, the shower floor was unacceptable did not even use, the fixtures in bathroom were rusted a lot of the kitchen knifes were rusted, the iron was old and rusted and the closets were filled with junk. Just didn't feel completely like a vacation home and what topped it was 2 of largest cockroaches I have ever seen, one in the closet and one in the bedroom.
But if none of the above bothers you then its a great place!
