The condo is 7.5 miles away from Kona International Airport. Centrally located in the heart of down town Kona, the condo is one block away from the waterfront (Alii Drive). Walking distance to the pier, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Bubba Gumps, Farmer's Market, Kona Brewing Co.(Pub), Longs Drug, Safeway, and the library are also nearby. Costco is approx. 5 miles away. You can find swimming and surfing spots along Alii Drive, 5 minutes walking distance from the condo. Public tennis courts and 25 yards swimming pool just 10 minutes drive away. Bowling alley with a "kids zone" play area, and miniature golf just minutes or walking distance away.

This condo is in a great location - very close to the north end of alii Drive (an easy 5 minute walk). To get there, cut across the street at the gas station next door to the condo and head down the stairs into the parking lot. It's a handy shortcut. The condo's location enables you to have easy walking access to many restaurants, shops, convenience stores, the main pier, a few beaches, and a somewhat regular shuttle to some other shopping or other parts of alii. A little longer walk in the other direction brings you to a big grocery store, a couple banks, and Long's Drugstore. Saves having to rent a car for the entire time.
The condo itself is very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. There's a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and nice balcony. Marianne has the place stocked with everything and anything you may need. She's thought of little extras that make it homey and convenient. There's a nice pool area and the grounds are well taken care of.

This place was very nice and centrally located. Cozy and extremely well supplied. We stayed for 5 night. Mary was amazing and so helpful, she was able to let us have a late check out, and that worked great for us. Also, such a good price. Some hotels around Kona had similar prices, but they were not nice and with no kitchen or inside laundy. Will stay here again when coming back to Kona.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this condo during a recent trip to Hawaii, and we loved it! I have been to Hawaii many times, and this easily one of the best places I have stayed. It really feels like a home away from home. It has everything you need to head out to the beach or just relax indoors, plus it's within easy walking distance of the waterfront, shops, and restaurants. The owner is really nice and very easy to work with. We will definitely come back to this condo for our next visit!

My spouse and I stayed for 7 days on Big Island, all of which at the same condo. The condo is great, as all of the necessity and more, it is like walking into your own home, everything you might need for the beach, and so on. The condo is well located, walking distance to the downtown ocean area. Walking distance to good restaurants and close the many stores. I would recommend this condo to anyone and would come back anytime. Mary is an easy person to deal with, very helping and generous. I would suggest staying at least 7 days on Big Island to visit everything, we did 7 days on Big Island and 7 days in Maui, we did like best Big Island, because there are less tourist. The people on Big Island are friendly and stress just does not seem to exist.

As a triathlete training in Kona, I strongly recommend this condo as it is very affordable (we are just poor graduate students), and the location is incredibly convenient to ali'i Drive for open water swimming, running and food, and the outdoor pool (25yds and free!) is just a nice 20mins walk away. There are also grocery stores (e.g. Safeway, Walmart) just north of the condo which is also about 30mins walk. There were absolutely no problems with the condo; it is clean, and everything is pretty much provided for (e.g. towels, kitchen-wares, parking spot, etc.) and the only thing you need to worry about is getting Kona coffee and food! My friend and I had a great time and Mary was amazing and most accommodating. Every transaction was made smoothly and quick. I will definitely come back to this condo at least once every year!
