Very nice ground floor condo. Walk out off the lanai, and you are on the grass, looking at the ocean. Makes for easy access to the 3 propane grills. No beach here, but great views. Pool is small, and doesn't open until 10 am. 2 miles to downtown Kailua, a little too far to walk. The complex is very quiet. Assigned parking is close by. The owners have a lot of beach stuff for your use, and kitchen is usable for cooking. We ate most meals here.

We only stayed at this condo for 5 days, but wished it could have been 5 weeks! The unit is on the bottom floor, front and center, facing the ocean which is about 150 feet away. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It was spotless and beautifully furnished (new furniture) to reflect the Islands. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The ceiling fans kept it at a comfortable temperature without the need for air-conditioning. The photos in the ad are very accurate - in fact, it is even better!! Kona Isle is managed very well - the grounds are well-groomed, the pool warm and inviting, and the buildings are very well maintained. Because the parking lot is behind the complex next to ali'i Drive, the only sound you hear is the ocean. Fabulous! We loved every minute we stayed in this condo and hope to go back when we can stay longer. Can't say enough good stuff about the whole experience.

We rented Jennifer's and Peter's condo for the second time and spent once again a wonderful week in Kona. We enjoyed the quietness of the resort and the evening at the beachfront sipping a glass of wine watching the sun go down.
Don't miss the Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Huggo's on the Rocks down alii Road - the best Mai Tais you can get for 4 bucks!!
And try the poke at the Poke Shack, 76-6246 alii Drive. They serve delicious original Hawaiian cuisine.
What else to say? It was worth to come the long, long way from Germany to Kona Isle again.

My husband and I spent a relaxing month at Jennifer and Peter's Kona Isle condo. Everything about the living space gave a feeling of tropical comfort. Tile floors, a wonderful full tile shower, and a fully equipped new kitchen were all beautiful touches that made us feel "at home." The tasteful Hawaiian decor, from the pictures to the furniture to the bedspread, gave the message "relax." Kona Isle has immaculately maintained grounds. The sandy area fronting the beach is great for sunbathing, reading, Bbqing, and meals. The pool area is fabulous--with great loungers and tables with umbrellas. We enjoyed the ritual of watching the sunset most every evening. Kona Isle is close to all the Kona attractions from snorkeling beaches, farmer's markets, and a wide variety of restaurants. For us, however, nothing was better than cooking a great meal and enjoying the sunset after a super day at the beach. We plan to return next summer and hope that we can rent again from Jennifer and Peter. They were so easy to work with. Thanks!

This is a late review, but out family stayed here on our first visit to Hawaii in 2007. We have not found a better unit to date. The owners provide a clean, caring and comfortable unit in a well maintained condo unit. It is a place we always hope to return to at some point when we return to the Big Island. Now that we have seen a majority of other islands since then, it certainly is time to return - and this unit would be the one we would hope to book.

This condo is tastefully furnished and is in a ground floor location facing the ocean. The grounds are great and a barberque area is within short walking distance. There is a medium size pool. This past visit was our third time to stay in the unit over the past five years. My wife and I have enjoyed this clean and well maintained condo. We have seen several upgrades. One feels, at home here. We love the barberque dining area and enjoyed having a sunset dinner so close to the ocean. The owner has provided us with good customer service. It is obvious that they care about clients having a good time. We were given infomation on shopping and location of major resorts and places worth visitting. I highly recommend a stay here and I look forward to visiting again

I was looking for a place where I could relax and rejuvenate and my stay at Kona Isle gave me exactly this! The setting was beautiful, the home was very clean and nicely updated and the owners were extremely helpful and knowledgable.

Great oceanfront unit with a great view. The condo is well equipped with everything you need even chairs, boogie board and umbrella for the beach. The washer/dryer is nice a perk. The pool is perfect especially for kids since there is a shallow part. The grounds are very well maintain and the manager does a great job at keeping the place clean. I would definitely go back.

One of the best units at Kona Isle. You can walk right out of the unit to the pool and the beach/BBQ area. The sound of the waves hitting the big rocks on the beach was very soothing. There are big lights shining at night out to the surf. If there are large waves, it is quite an experience to sit right on the edge an watch the show. All the pool and beach furniture is top of the line and confortable. The resident manager keeps the grounds clean and makes sure everything is where it should be. We used this as a base to explore other areas on the island. Parking is easy and the area appears to be very safe. The unit has everything you need if you are doing your own cooking. The resident owners of nearby suites were very helpful and gave us lots of good advice and tips. We loved the pool and made good use of it the late afternoon. The owners were very accommodating and we felt like we were renting from friends. We would definitely consider staying here again, should we return the big island.

We had the feeling that the condo was really well taken care of. Everything we needed was there and the location right at the sea was great. It is a quiet place you are not bothered by the noisy traffic of alii Road. We got all the necessary information and would have liked to extend our stay.

We have rented this unit for the last 8 years. Probably don't need to say more. Location, Location, Location also says it. Having spent 20+ years in Kona, we feel this is one of the best condo areas on the island. This ocean front unit is clean, well furnished and comfortable.*** from us.

Our destination of choice for the last number of years. Excellent quiet one bedroom accommodation on the ocean. This unit is well appointed and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen.
The ground floor access gives us the option to enjoy the dolphins, whales and waves from the lanai or from the private beach.
Meticulously maintained grounds complete with swimming pool and private sandy beach on the lava coastline.
