Additional Location Information
If you stay in and around the resort, you will find no shortage of things to do. Magic Sands Beach is at your doorstep and the swimming is divine. You may even find a turtle to accompany you! Go boogie boarding and test your strength against Hawaiian waves or simply lounge around and soak up some serious rays. If you're looking for a cool quiet place to eat lunch, head over to the Pahoehoe Beach Park, a shady park perfect for picnics.
Go beyond the resort grounds and explore all that Hawaii has to offer, from volcanoes and nature reserves to shopping and dancing. Take a 15 minute drive to the north and you'll find Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, a vast national park with tons to explore. Early temples, fishponds and petroglyphs will show you what life was like in Hawaii long ago. Or go see where Captain Cook landed on the southern Kona coast at Kealakekua Bay. You could also check out a coffee plantation, go scuba diving, take a helicopter tour... the possibilities are endless!
