Homy place in sunny Hawai'i
The week we spent in Judy's place was excellent. Judy is a wonderful host. She had many wise advices and gave us updates on what was going on in the area. She told us about many aspect of the island we wanted to discover, and we found on the table an extremely useful guidebook to enjoy during our stay. Her place offers many very useful features, from a well equipped kitchen to laundry to beach gear, a nice deck with view over the pacific (wonderful sunsets), and a garden to enjoy (walking in, discovering many plants and trees, and tasting marvelous fruits, all the family loved it!). The place is on the sunny side of the island, which we appreciated (during our stay, the rest of the island was quite wet, while our kids were enjoying the discovery of nearby hidden beach treasures...). It is not too far from most of Hawai'i wonders and we were able to explore easily from the northern most point to the volcano park, and also to Hilo.
Come and meet Judy !

Our Favorite Vacation Rental
We frequently travel to Kona to visit relatives and this is our new favorite vacation rental. When we arrived, Judy invited us in for tea and we were greeted by the aroma of her delicious homemade bread. She is such a warm and friendly host and we really enjoyed getting to know her. The studio is the perfect spot to take in the sunsets and unobstructed ocean view. You will definitely want to spend some time just relaxing here in this beautiful and quiet spot. Its an easy drive to many of the popular shopping areas, beaches and other local sites. There is a small grocery store just a few minutes away where you can pick up supplies or local favorites like fried rice and beef stew (they have a small take out window inside the store that opens early). We are planning to stay here during future trips to Kona and look forward to visiting Judy again.
Perfect location with wunderfull host
We loved the location a little uphill, so it was not too hot in the mornings and evenings. Actually 15minutes to anywhere you need to go, Walmart, Target or Kua bay beach, our favorite during our stay. Judy is an amazing host, we ate her homemade bread (delicious) she is making for the farmers market and her self made smoothie with fruits from her garden. She helped us out with trips, with her local background more helpful then anything else read in the internet. We loved driving downhill in generell, oceanview at all time.
Cool,Quiet, with beautiful sunsets
The place is located on the Kona hillside and set next to a dry land forest. We got glorious sunsets every evening and cool nights. The studio is well equipped with appliances. There are beach chairs ,coolers, umbrella available for use. We also saw almost daily wild turkeys.
Best of all is the quiet.
Alex & Ana
We have been here for our honeymoon. The first impression was "wow”, the second was "wooow”, the third was "wooowww”. It's an incredible place and Judy was a perfect host. Beside that we found here everything we needed for almost anything: from full equipped kitchenette to many equipment for the beach (snorkeling, boogyboard, umbrellas, etc) and some hiking gear (flashlights), Judy was very kind to offer us some warm clothes for going up to Mauna Kea - it's really cold up there. The fresh fruits from the garden were excellent.
The Island is really big, no wander they call it "Big Island” ?. Judy knows many good places for eating, beaches and places to visit - she's like an encyclopedia. I recommend renting a car and especially a Jeep Wrangler, for off-roads sites (Waimea Valley with its black sand beach, Green Sand Beach in the South Point, the road to Mauna Kea, wild beaches and others). We spend 9 days here but it was too short to visit the whole island - a 2 week vacation is more suited.
This place has a good location for who wants to have a quiet vacation (I hate big cities) and a good starting point for visiting the island. You will definitely need a car.
For my next trip in Hawai'i, this is where I'll stay and I'll recommend it to all my friends. This place will exceed your expectations.
Wonderful Vacation in Paradise
We just booked for our third time to visit Kona Pacific View - Your Private Oasis. The views are beautiful. It is a roomy studio and very private, above the garage. It is like having your own little house. Judy, the owner is a real sweetheart gem. She makes you feel very welcomed and at home. She is very generous with not only area information, but with her fresh garden juices and fruits. She has a big garden and grows many different fruits and vegetables. There is your own private Lanai and makes the evening sunsets views spectacular. We stayed here in 2010, 2011 and now just booked for 2012. For my husband and I, it is like a home away from home, but in paradise. The studio would also be okay for a couple with a small child, as the studio has a couch that opens into a bed.
