Our vacation condominium is located at Kanaloa at Kona, a 4-star resort right on the ocean and adjacent to the Kona golf course, overlooking the Keauhou Bay. Set in 18 acres of lush tropical foliage and manicured lawns, our condo provides a beautiful setting for a relaxing, memorable vacation.
Our top-floor condo is elegantly-furnished, spacious, open and airy, with vaulted ceilings. We have two lanais -- one off the master bedroom and the other off the living room. The lanai off the living room features a wet bar and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy meals and drinks overlooking the magnificent Kona Golf course.

The owners sent us the keys home to Germany by mail in sufficient time to our journey. We sent them back after we had returned home - pretty uncomplicated. We felt at home, the apartment and the kitchen were fully equipped with everything you need for a family of four. I liked the thick carpet, the puzzles and the view to the golf course best. My kids loved the swimming pools with barbecue facilities and table tennis. The marina from where you start snorkel cruises is within walking distance. We felt comfortable and safe.

The location of this condo is perfect and very private. We stayed for two weeks and we could not have been any happier with our accommodations.

The condo was exactly what we needed. Lots of space, well equipped, great location and an easy to deal with owner! We stayed for 6 days in august and it was a great home base to explore the island. There is a pool and hot tub right across the parking lot and a bbq that we used most nights for dinner. There's a great shopping mall just up the hill and everything is a short drive away. You will need access to a car as public transit is sparce and you should definitely explore the island. Nicole was very help and everything worked as advertised. The washer/dryer and dishwasher were most welcome and there are two new TVs and good WiFi access. Would recommend to anyone.

Our family just got back from our first trip to the Big Island. It was a wonderful vacation and the Rothstein's condo proved to be perfect - great location, spacious, clean, well-equipped and minutes away from pools, tennis courts, golf course and oceanside. 2 lanais allowed for cross-breezes and relaxing views to the outdoors. We would love to come back here!

We found your condo exactly as you described, very comfortable, quiet and spacious. What we were not expecting but thrilled to find waiting for us to enjoy, were beach chairs, boggie boards, even a cooler to pack our lunch for a day at the beach. The staff at the Kailua Kona were very warm and welcoming. The grounds & facilities were clean and neatly kept. We used the bbq nightly and were always pleased to find it in great shape. Our stay at your place was wonderful, we'd love to make a return trip.

We stayed at this vacation rental for 10 days and had a very nice time. It is in a safe, clean, well managed building. Quiet, friendly and safe. There are 3 pools, and one is designated for adults only. Met several guests who have returned to Kanaloa for several years and are very pleased.
The complex looks as though it was designed and built in the mid 80s. After 2 days there, I could not help feeling as if I were visiting an aunts home. This place feels like a home, not a rental. It is a good thing.
#204 is easy to find, private and has a nice view of the golf course. We did spend a great deal of time on the lanai which has a comfy lounger, chairs and table. The condo was exceptionally clean with a very nice refrigerator, washer/dryer, dish washer, small coffee pot, ceiling fans, iron, towels, vacuum, etc.. The kitchen had all the basics that we needed. The oven worked well. The electric stove top was difficult for me to figure out. Wasn't sure if it, or I needed a fix.
The pictures and description represented are accurate. We had no problems at anytime. It may have looked as though there was a restaurant/bar at one of the pools (ocean), but it was not open the entire time we were there.
I would go back. Might not take my aging parents due to the stairs (12+).
Great place. Perfect for families, couples and those who wish to relax in style.

The condo was great to place to stay. We were traveling with teenagers. The place had easy access to everything in the area. The beaches, and grocery store were nearby. It can be noisy with other neighbors because most people do not use the air conditioning so windows and decks are open.

The unit is located in the Kanaloa resort; a beautiful complex that has 3 pools (our favourite one was the one located by the ocean), hot tub, tennis courts, BBQ, etc. Although the complex is fairly big, it felt like only a few units were occupied. It was always quiet and everyone we met were owners and/or family members of owners, therefore everyone were respectful. The site is very well maintained. The pools were never crowded.
We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered the condo. The vault ceilings in the master bedroom and living room made the unit look very spacious. The lay-out is perfect and practicable. The kitchen was big and full equipped. We can't comment enough on the cleanliness of the condo. It was spotless.
Our favourite thing was to sit on the patio overlooking the golf course and have breakfast with fresh fruits purchased at the farmers market in downtown Kona. We also enjoyed the pool by the ocean and walking to Keauhou bay (5-minute walk) where we rented a kayak and paddled on our own to the nearest sea caves. It was safe and absolutely gorgeous.
The Rochstein made everything easy. We did not have to worry about anything. We sent our payment through a money wire and received the keys in the mail a week or two later. Clear instructions to get to the condo were provided. The condo was situated near a supermarket and 10-min drive to the main touristic area of Kona.
There were free wi-fi and free parking included.
Briefly, we really enjoyed the Big Island, the weather and our accomodation. We will definately recommend it to our friends and family!!!

We've been fortunate to stay at Kanaloa many times over the years and specifically in the Rothstein's condo.
We can't say enough good things about Kanaloa or the condo.
The condo is perfectly located overlooking the golf course, with a fantastic wide lanai and wet bar. The interior is more than adequate for a family of four (or larger) and while it's on the second floor, we've never needed air conditioning in Dec/Jan as there is usually a lovely breeze blowing through.
Our two kids, who were quite young when we first stayed here, are now in their mid and late teens. They love Kanaloa. The complex is rarely busy and never loud. They often have one of the three pools on the property to themselves! They love the freedom that the spacious grounds offer and we've always felt safe and secure there.
I personally enjoy the fact there there is new, clean BBQ conveniently located in pool area as we often cook our dinners there and either eat pool-side or simply take it back "home" and enjoy our dinner on the lanai.
My wife is an avid walker and she enjoys her morning walk around the neighborhood and surrounding area, again, always feeling perfectly safe and secure.
The Rothstein's are always very prompt in their replies to any inquiries we've and have been very accommodating with our many requests over the years. They are wonderful hosts and we look forward to our annual visit to their lovely Hawaiian home.
