My husband and I enjoyed five days in this comfortable condo and the pictures show exactly what you get. The view from the lanai is spectacular! The condo was quite clean and the kitchen had everything you would need for meal preparation. We went to the nearby snorkel beach a few times so it was nice to have all the beach equipment available for use.
It was very warm while we were there and so we missed a/c a bit at night but with windows open and fans on it was ok. The upstairs neighbours are a bit heavy footed also but we got used to it, lol! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I visited the pool one day too and found it to be nice and clean. All in all you won't go wrong with this unit and management is very easy to deal with too.
Three Happy Visitors who felt they had found a perfect location

We travelled from the UK to meet up with our son who lives in Singapore and was competing in Ironman for the 2nd time. Our first visit to Hawaii had been a great success so the pressure was on to find an equally pleasant condo. We agree with a previous review that the location of this condo and its facilities are excellent especially in relation to the cost. Last time we had an 'ocean front' for which we paid a premium but nothing to compare with what we found in 205 with the sound of the waves and the rustle of the palms and an uninterrupted view over the ocean on the doorstep.. just what everyone dreams of on a tropical island.
We also liked the fact that it felt like 'home' with extras like store cupboard foods and even food wrap, shopping bags etc. If one were to be really critical you could say that certain things are getting that 'used look' but that in turn was the reason it felt 'homely'.
If you read this and are looking for comfortable accommodation in an idyllic locations and close to all amenities, which were all good then look no further!

Our fourth trip to the Big Island, our first stay at Surf & Racquet Club unit 1-205. There were four of us for two weeks. Pictures can't capture the beauty.
The unit was clean and we were sooo comfortable. Condo & lanai was spacious and accomodating, as we ate in 85% of our stay. The pool size and tennis courts were great. View from condo was mesmerizing!
The complex is peaceful and well groomed. Our walks in the mornings north brought you to the salt & pepper beach for serenity and turtles. South we found a marina, canoers, boats, and the beautiful Sheridan Resort (which we also visited in the evening to watch the manta rays).
The location is convenient as we went both north and south for outings. Very relaxing, two weeks weren't enough. We plan to stay here again.
Glad to have it for a few days. Big enough for 4 people, with kitchen (we used some cooking stuff from previous people and added some more for the next), big living/family room, two bathrooms, TV, Wifi... just like home. Also having beach shoes with different size, plastic toys, folding chair... very nice!

We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our family of 4. We ate in 50% of the time and loved using the BBQ. Met lots of nice people from all over the world...Only complaint we ran out of propane almost every evening but, we just shared the BBQ with the other guests.
Can't wait to come back and stay. We will make this our go to place if it is avaliable.
We had everything that we needed during our stay.

We enjoyed staying at this home very much. Every morning, we were on the balcony to hear the sea waves. Every night, we saw the beautiful sunset. The condo is fully equipped and we made good use of the kitchen utensils. We bought food from the supermarket which is one block away. Getting onto the highway was easy.
The only strange thing is the main toilet. Each time we flushed, we had to turn the shut off valve off then turn it back on to restore the water pressure. If not, it will keep on dripping.

My husband and I stayed here for our 37th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The unit is beautifully furnished with bright Hawaiian colors. The view from the lanai was spectacular and we spent many mornings just drinking coffee and watching the waves crash on the lava rocks.
We could not believe we were able to get this unit for the price! We have been to the Hawaiian islands about a dozen time and this unit is one of the top places we have stayed.
No real complaints just inconviences. Our lock box code was outdated, so at first we could not get in. This was rectified with an hour. The other is more of just a suggestion. We were asked upon leaving to put a load of laundry in the washer which of course we did, however, that perhaps might be the reason why our bedsheets upon arrival smelled of mildew as they probably sat in the washer a little to long. Other than that everything else was beyond what we were expecting and we would not hesitate to recommend this unit to our friends and family and we would certainly stay in this unit if we ever vist the Big Island again!

Wonderful place with a breathtaking view! Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Unit was very clean with some great necessities that made the stay there feel like home. The showstopper was the fact that we had some amazing sunset views from our lanai and the sound of the ocean was relaxing...not too loud at all. Nice sized lanai with comfortable clean furniture. Very easy to get the keys. Parking was very close to condo. Very quiet complex. Good location- far enough from Kona to seem mellow, but not so far that it seemed to be a trek to get there. Shopping center with market, restaurants and gas was super close.
Only complaints- 1) We emailed the management to ensure that there was specifically a blow dryer with the unit and stand up fan and were told "yes" but when we got there neither was to be found. They may have been in the second bedroom and bathroom that we had locked off (to reduce cleaning fee, which was great!), but the blow dryer situation was a bummer...the fan was not since the ceiling fans sufficiently cooled us off. 2) We heard people walking above us (when someone was staying there, anyway). This was not a problem when it was just adults staying there, as it was just footsteps. It was a bit of a gripe for us when it was a family with a toddler and we kept hearing him doing laps upstairs. Honestly it would not deter us from ever staying here again, but just wanted to let people know in case it bothers them.

We were truly happy arriving here an finding crashing surf against the lava rock coast just feet off of the big lanai. This 2nd floor open feeling condo with a master bedroom and living room all open together out to a huge lanai has great cross breezes that kept us completely comfortable, just enough sun to catch some rays, setting sun and whales playing in late afternoon waters, sliding doors wide open all night. Total buffer between the road and us, so no traffic noise, just pounding, crashing surf to lull us to sleep in an oh so comfy new memory foam bed (oh thank you!!!) and enchant us all day. We could walk 10 minutes north to a great snorkel beach, grocery near by, barbecue on grounds, OK pool (no shade) good restaurants a few minutes away (Try Sam Choy's - yummy!) easy access to get around the island, but mostly we just wanted to stay put. This is really a wonderfully located condo with everything you will need - beach towels and chairs, enough kitchen condiments and bath supplies. Super nice for 1 couple, easily for a family. Not fancy, but very comfortable and well supplied.
