VirginiaBetter than we remembered. And we were blown away the first time
Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in May 2013
This is the second year in a row we have chosen to stay at Banyan Tree #306. We were blown away last year and the place was better than we remembered. Several nice touches inlcuded more beach toys, including nice boogie boards and snorkle gear. The lanai had a better view than most of the restaurants in town and the expensive resorts. My wife was up at dawn every morning for a nice long walk along ali'i drive and the kids loved the pool and hot tub. They even swam with some turtles right in front. Highly recomended.

Boulder, COGreat for Families - Life's a Beach!
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our family stayed here over spring break. The accommodations were excellent for children of many ages. Our toddler was fascinated by the nearby tide pools, our pre-teen son spent hours in the pool and our teenager enjoyed the nearby shopping. The condo is very nicely appointed with modern technology and has an amazing view that we all enjoyed every minute we were there!
We did a lot of research for our vacation and have stayed on the Big Island many times. By far, we found this unit to be the best value we haven found and we will be back next year! -

SeattleSpectacular!!!
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This condo and in particular the view is spectacular! It is quite literally oceanfront and we were immersed in the the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean throughout our stay. From sunsets to sailboats to surfers - all the sights and sounds of the Big Island could be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room or lanai. The unit is exceptionally appointed with the latest furnishings and appliances. Additionally, the pool was clean and refreshing while the nearby tide pools provided added entertainment.
We found the owner to be very responsive and helpful and clearly wanted to help us get the most out of our vacation.

Montreal, CanadaAmazing condo!
Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We found the condo just as we expected: well equipped and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the quality appliances and comfortable furniture in all rooms. We would have liked to have a fourth counter stool in case the weather got bad, which did not happened. More dishes would have been nice too, since we tend to get lazy on vacations... The lanai is simply amazing! It is large and it even comes with a roof fan and light, making it a perfect dining room. We enjoyed every minute of our mealtime listening to the waves crashing on the rocks just below us. And the sunsets are nothing but breathtaking! This is a real ocean front unit and a great bang for the buck!
One more word about this exceptional condo: don't be disappointed to find there's no air conditioning because there's simply no need for it. Just keep the windows and lanai door open and let the ocean breeze flow. Over the 9 days we spent there in late June we never suffered from the heat. Even in the hottest days the condo remained cool and comfy.
Here's a piece of advice for beachgoers who come to Big Island for the first time: public beaches nearby are small and often overcrowded. A 30 mile drive northbound on the west coast will get you to some of the most beautiful beaches that can be. Look for Spencer Beach Park, Hapuna Beach and Manau Kae Beach, just to name a few. These large and quiet beaches have shaded areas with picnic tables and restrooms. Bring your lunch and enjoy a full day on the beach with the kids! Definitely worth the drive.
Finally, we have found the owners, Kyle and Kate, very kind and helpful. Many thanks to both of you. This has been an unforgettable vacation! We highly recommend this condo and we really hope to get back in a near future.
