Living now in TokyoFirst-class paradise -- and sea turtles every day!
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I was going to say that seeing sea turtles every day was the best thing about my stay, but then I thought maybe the big beautiful master bedroom with the sound of the ocean and the beautiful view was the best thing. Or maybe it was sitting in the really comfy lounge chairs on the upstairs lanai watching the sunset. Hard to say -- it was all good! This condo was the best appointed rental unit I've ever stayed in, with a fully equipped kitchen (even herbs and spices, decent knives, plenty of Tupperware and a salad spinner!), luxurious, private bathrooms and piles of wonderful towels. They even provided beach towels, which meant I could come with just carry-on luggage. Arrival was a breeze; I went right into vacation mode. There's a front row view of the ocean; to go into the water, walk two minutes to the right down the shore to the little protect cove visited daily by three sea turtles. I loved watching them swim, sun and nibble the seaweed off the rocks. The little beach there would be good for families with small children -- you can go safely in the water and enjoy the tidal pools because it's protected from the waves. I didn't see whales out front but other people did. I'm hoping I'll see them next time. Aloha and mahalo!

West VancouverIsland Oasis
Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in January 2013
My husband and I stayed here recently with our extended family. The condo was exceptionally comfortable and spacious, enough so that we all got along and no one was fighting by the end of the trip! And although we spent a lot of time exploring the island and enjoying the sights, the best part of the vacation was coming back to this place to enjoy leisurely dinners and watch the amazing sun sets from the veranda. The relaxing sound of the ocean permeates the place and makes you feel like you're in an oasis of calm, even though you're moments away from the busy seaside town.

Los AngelesFantastic house!
Left on 02/04/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed in this wonderful house for 8 days in January 2013. The house has been recently renovated, everything is dazzling new, the blue and white design is very appealing and stylish. The master bedroom is fantastic - huge and right at the ocean - you hear the waives all night long. The beds are very comfortable. The only challenge is not to fight over the master bedroom if you are staying with another couple as the second bedroom is a bit smaller and faces the mountains and the local road. It is cooler and the mountain air is great in the mornings but it is not an ocean view. Wi-fi reception is very good in each room including 2 huge lanais with ocean view. All amenities are there, even a small grill. The kettle is pretty slow. Location is very good - close to Kona's markets and restaurants. The beach is great for kids - calm, shallow and clear, but an adult can't swim right there - as the corals are pretty high and ban the way into the open water. But other amazing beaches are just 20 minutes of driving away. At least three turtles live on the beach, one of them is very curious and always comes right to your feet once you are in the water.
